Geneva Bible
1A song of degrees, or Psalme of David. If the Lord had not bene on our side, (may Israel now say)
2If the Lord had not bene on our side, when men rose vp against vs,
3They had then swallowed vs vp quicke, when their wrath was kindled against vs.
4Then the waters had drowned vs, and the streame had gone ouer our soule:
5Then had the swelling waters gone ouer our soule.
6Praysed be the Lord, which hath not giuen vs as a praye vnto their teeth.
7Our soule is escaped, euen as a bird out of the snare of the foulers: the snare is broken, and we are deliuered.
8Our helpe is in the Name of the Lord, which hath made heauen and earth.

1Cántico gradual: de David. A NO haber estado Jehová por nosotros, diga ahora Israel;
King James Version
1If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
World English Bible
1If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, let Israel now say,
2if it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us,
3then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us,
4then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul.
5Then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
6Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8Our help is in the LORD’s name, who made heaven and earth.
