1Cantique des degrés. Je me suis réjoui quand ils m'ont dit : Entrons dans la maison du Seigneur.
2Nos pieds étaient fermes jadis en tes parvis, ô Jérusalem.
3Jérusalem est bâtie comme une ville dont toutes les parties sont parfaitement unies.
4Car c'est là que montaient les tribus, les tribus du Seigneur, selon l'ordre donné à Israël, pour rendre gloire au nom du Seigneur.
5Là étaient établis des trônes pour le jugement, des trônes pour la maison de David.
6Priez pour la paix de Jérusalem, et la prospérité de ceux qui t'aiment, ô cité sainte !
7Que la paix règne dans ta force, et l'abondance dans tes tours.
8J'ai désiré pour toi la paix, à cause de mes frères et de mes proches.
9J'ai cherché ce qui t'est bon, à cause de la maison du Seigneur notre Dieu.

2Mi socorro viene de Jehová, que hizo los cielos y la tierra.
3No dará tu pie al resbaladero; ni se dormirá el que te guarda.
4He aquí, no se adormecerá ni dormirá el que guarda á Israel.
5Jehová es tu guardador: Jehová es tu sombra á tu mano derecha.
6El sol no te fatigará de día, ni la luna de noche.
7Jehová te guardará de todo mal: él guardará tu alma.
8Jehová guardará tu salida y tu entrada, desde ahora y para siempre.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
