4Geschärfte Kriegerpfeile samt Kohlen vom Ginsterstrauch!
5Wehe mir, daß ich als Fremdling in Mesech weile, daß ich wohne bei den Zelten von Kedar!
6Lange genug schon weile ich hier bei Leuten, die den Frieden hassen.
7Ich bin ganz friedlich gestimmt, doch was ich auch rede: sie gehen auf Krieg aus.

3¿Qué te dará, ó qué te aprovechará, oh lengua engañosa?
4Agudas saetas de valiente, con brasas de enebro.
5¡Ay de mí, que peregrino en Mesech, y habito entre las tiendas de Kedar!
6Mucho se detiene mi alma con los que aborrecen la paz.
7Yo soy pacífico: mas ellos, así que hablo, me hacen guerra.

2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
