Porque he aquí, los malos flecharon el arco, apercibieron sus saetas sobre la cuerda, para asaetear en oculto á los rectos de corazón.
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

A motivo della desolazione de' miserabili, e pe' gemiti de' poveri adesso io mi leverò su, dice il Signore. Lo stabilirò nella salute: agirò liberamente per lui.
Jehová prueba al justo; empero al malo y al que ama la violencia, su alma aborrece.
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
The LORD examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.
Le parole del Signore, parole caste; argento passato pel fuoco, provato nel crogiuolo di terra, raffinato sette volte.
Sobre los malos lloverá lazos; fuego y azufre, con vientos de torbellinos, será la porción del cáliz de ellos.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

Tu, o Signore, ci salverai, e ci difenderai da questa generazione di uomini in eterno.
Porque el justo Jehová ama la justicia: al recto mirará su rostro.

Gli empj van girando all'intorno: secondo l'altissima tua sapienza tu hai moltiplicati i figliuoli degli uomini. Da alcuni si riferisce ai tempi della persecuzione di Saul: dà molti altri alla ribellione di Assalonne. Contiene i sentimenti di un'anima tribolata, la quale nella tentazione geme dinanzi a Dio, a cui chiede lume per conoscere quello, che in lei dispiaccia al Signore, e si consola colla ferma speranza nella divina misericordia.
