1Alléluiah ! Rendez grâces au Seigneur, et invoquez son nom ; annoncez ses œuvres parmi les Gentils.
2Chantez en son honneur, chantez-lui des psaumes ; racontez toutes ses merveilles.
3Glorifiez-vous en son saint nom ; que le cœur de ceux qui cherchent le Seigneur soit réjoui.
4Cherchez le Seigneur, et soyez forts ; cherchez perpétuellement sa face.
5Souvenez -vous des prodiges qu'il a faits, de ses merveilles et des jugements de sa bouche.
6Enfants d'Abraham, qui êtes ses serviteurs, fils de Jacob, qui êtes ses élus,
7Le Seigneur est notre Dieu ; ses jugements sont sur toute la terre.
8Il s'est souvenu pour toujours de son alliance, de la parole qu'il a intimée à des milliers de générations,
9Et qu'il a conclue avec Abraham ; il s'est souvenu de son serment à Isaac.
10Et cette alliance avec Jacob, il l'a érigée en commandement ; et avec Israël, en testament éternel,
11Disant : Je te donnerai la terre de Chanaan, comme part de votre héritage.
12Ils y étaient alors en petit nombre, et passagers en cette terre.
13Et ils allèrent d'une nation à une autre, et d'un royaume à un autre peuple.
14Et à nul homme Dieu ne permit de leur faire tort, et, à cause d'eux, il châtiait les rois, disant :
15Gardez-vous de toucher à mes oints ; gardez-vous de maltraiter mes prophètes.
16Et il appela la famine sur la terre, et il brisa la force que donnait le pain.
17Et il envoya un homme devant eux, et Joseph fut vendu comme esclave.
18Ils l'humilièrent, en mettant à ses pieds des entraves ; et le fer traversa son âme.
19Mais quand lui vint la parole du Seigneur, cette voix l'enflamma.
20Le roi, prince des peuples, envoya des hommes pour le délier, et il le mit en liberté,
21Et il le constitua maître de sa maison et prince de ses richesses,
22Pour qu'il instruisît les grands comme lui-même, et enseignât la sagesse à ses anciens.
23Et Israël entra en Egypte, et Jacob habita en la terre de Cham.
24Et Dieu multiplia extrêmement son peuple ; et il l'affermit contre ses ennemis.
25Puis il changea le cœur de ceux-ci, afin qu'ils haïssent son peuple et usassent de fraude contre ses serviteurs.
26Et il envoya Moïse son serviteur, et Aaron, son élu.
27Il mit en eux les paroles de ses signes et de ses prodiges en la terre de Cham.
28Il envoya les ténèbres et l'obscurité ; et ils s'irritèrent de ses paroles,
29Il changea leurs eaux en sang, et il fit mourir leurs poissons.
30Leur terre produisit des grenouilles, jusqu'aux chambres les plus retirées des princes.
31Il dit, et des mouches de chien et des moucherons vinrent dans toute leur contrée.
32Il fit tourner leur pluie en grêle, et le feu dévora leur terre.
33Et il frappa leurs vignes et leurs figuiers, et brisa tous les arbres sur leur territoire.
34Il dit, et des sauterelles et des chenilles vinrent en quantité innombrable ;
35Et elles rongèrent toute l'herbe de la terre et en mangèrent tous les fruits.
36Et il frappa tout premier-né de leur terre, prélude de toutes leurs peines.
37Et il fit sortir les Hébreux avec de l'argent et de l'or, et parmi leurs tribus il n'y avait pas un infirme.
38L'Egypte se réjouit de leur départ, parce que la crainte qu'elle avait d'eux était retombée sur elle.
39Le Seigneur étendit une nuée pour les couvrir, et un feu pour les éclairer la nuit.
40Ils demandèrent, et des cailles vinrent ; et il les rassasia d'un pain venu du ciel.
41Il fendit le rocher, et les eaux jaillirent ; des fleuves coulèrent sur une terre aride,
42Parce que le Seigneur se souvint de sa parole sainte, qu'il avait donnée à Abraham, son serviteur ;
43Et il délivra son peuple dans l'allégresse, et ses élus dans la joie.
44Et il leur donna les régions des Gentils, et ils héritèrent des travaux des peuples ;
45Afin qu'ils gardassent ses commandements, et recherchassent sa loi.

1BENDICE, alma mía, á Jehová. Jehová, Dios mío, mucho te has engrandecido; haste vestido de gloria y de magnificencia.
2El que se cubre de luz como de vestidura, que extiende los cielos como una cortina;
3Que establece sus aposentos entre las aguas; el que pone las nubes por su carroza, el que anda sobre las alas del viento;
4El que hace á sus ángeles espíritus, sus ministros al fuego flameante.
5El fundó la tierra sobre sus basas; no será jamás removida.
6Con el abismo, como con vestido, la cubriste; sobre los montes estaban las aguas.
7A tu reprensión huyeron; al sonido de tu trueno se apresuraron;
8Subieron los montes, descendieron los valles, al lugar que tú les fundaste.
9Pusísteles término, el cual no traspasarán; ni volverán á cubrir la tierra.
10Tú eres el que envías las fuentes por los arroyos; van entre los montes.
11Abrevan á todas las bestias del campo: quebrantan su sed los asnos montaraces.
12Junto á aquellos habitarán las aves de los cielos; entre las ramas dan voces.
13El que riega los montes desde sus aposentos: del fruto de sus obras se sacia la tierra.
14El que hace producir el heno para las bestias, y la hierba para el servicio del hombre; sacando el pan de la tierra.
15Y el vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, y el aceite que hace lucir el rostro, y el pan que sustenta el corazón del hombre.
16Llénanse de jugo los árboles de Jehová, los cedros del Líbano que él plantó.
17Allí anidan las aves; en las hayas hace su casa la cigüeña.
18Los montes altos para las cabras monteses; las peñas, madrigueras para los conejos.
19Hizo la luna para los tiempos: el sol conoce su ocaso.
20Pone las tinieblas, y es la noche: en ella corretean todas las bestias de la selva.
21Los leoncillos braman á la presa, y para buscar de Dios su comida.
22Sale el sol, recógense, y échanse en sus cuevas.
23Sale el hombre á su hacienda, y á su labranza hasta la tarde.
24¡Cuán muchas son tus obras, oh Jehová! Hiciste todas ellas con sabiduría: la tierra está llena de tus beneficios.
25Asimismo esta gran mar y ancha de términos: en ella pescados sin número, animales pequeños y grandes.
26Allí andan navíos; allí este leviathán que hiciste para que jugase en ella.
27Todos ellos esperan en ti, para que les des su comida á su tiempo.
28Les das, recogen; abres tu mano, hártanse de bien.
29Escondes tu rostro, túrbanse: les quitas el espíritu, dejan de ser, y tórnanse en su polvo.
30Envías tu espíritu, críanse: y renuevas la haz de la tierra.
31Sea la gloria de Jehová para siempre; alégrese Jehová en sus obras;
32El cual mira á la tierra, y ella tiembla; toca los montes, y humean.
33A Jehová cantaré en mi vida: á mi Dios salmearé mientras viviere.
34Serme ha suave hablar de él: yo me alegraré en Jehová.
35Sean consumidos de la tierra los pecadores, y los impíos dejen de ser. Bendice, alma mía, á Jehová. Aleluya.

1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
17Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
19He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
23Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
25So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
26There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
27These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
28That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

1Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4He makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.
5He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.
6You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
7At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
9You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.
10He sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
11They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.
13He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
14He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
15wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
16The LORD’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,
17where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.
18The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
20You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
23Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.
24LORD, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
25There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
26There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
27These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
28You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
