La sabiduría ha construído su propia casa; ella ha labrado siete pilares de las rocas.
LA sabiduría edificó su casa, labró sus siete columnas;
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
Ella ha sacrificado sus animales; ella ha mezclado su vino; y ella ha preparado su mesa.
Mató sus víctimas, templó su vino, y puso su mesa.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.
Ella ha envíado a sus siervas; ella llama desde de los puntos altos de la ciudad,
Envió sus criadas; sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó:
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
"¿Quién es ingenuo? ¡Deja que se desvíe aquí!" A aquel que le falte buen sentido ella le habla.
Cualquiera simple, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
"Ven, come mi alimento y toma el vino que yo he mezclado.
Venid, comed mi pan, y bebed del vino que yo he templado.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
Deja tus acciones ingenuas y vive; anda en el camino del entendimiento.
Dejad las simplezas, y vivid; y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
Quien disciplina a un burlador recibe abuso, y quien reprende a una persona malvada recibe insultos.
El que corrige al escarnecedor, afrenta se acarrea: el que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
No reprendas a un burlador, o él te odiará; reprende a un hombre sabio, y él te amará.
No reprendas al escarnecedor, porque no te aborrezca; corrige al sabio, y te amará.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
Dale a una persona sabia, y él se volverá más sabio; enseña a una persona justa, y él añadirá a su aprendizaje.
Da al sabio, y será más sabio: enseña al justo, y acrecerá su saber.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
El temor del SEÑOR es el principio de la sabiduría, y el conocimiento del Santo es entendimiento.
El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría; y la ciencia de los santos es inteligencia.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Porque a través de mí tus días serán multiplicados, y años de vida te serán añadidos.
Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, y años de vida se te añadirán.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.
Si tú eres sabio, tú eres sabio para tí mismo, y si tú te burlas, lo pagarás tu mismo."
Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás: mas si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
La mujer insensata es ignorante; ella no tiene instrucción y no sabe nada.
La mujer loca es alborotadora; es simple é ignorante.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.
Ella se sienta en la puerta de su casa, en una silla en los lugares altos del pueblo.
Siéntase en una silla á la puerta de su casa, en lo alto de la ciudad,
For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
Ella llama aquellos que pasan por las calles, a personas caminando recto en su camino.
Para llamar á los que pasan por el camino, que van por sus caminos derechos.
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,
"Deja que cualquiera que sea ingenuo venga aquí," ella le dice a los que no tienen entendimiento.
Cualquiera simple, dice, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
"Las aguas robadas son dulces y el pan del secreto es delicioso."
Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, y el pan comido en oculto es suave.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
“Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant.”
Pero él no sabe que la muerte está ahí, que sus invitados están en las profundidades del Seol.
Y no saben que allí están los muertos; que sus convidados están en los profundos de la sepultura.
But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
