LA sabiduría edificó su casa, labró sus siete columnas;
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
Sie schlachtete ihr Vieh und mischte ihren Wein und deckte ihre Tische.
Mató sus víctimas, templó su vino, y puso su mesa.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.
Sie sandte ihre Mägde aus, um auf erhöhten Plätzen in der Stadt zu rufen:
Envió sus criadas; sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó:
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
"Wer immer töricht ist, der pflege hier der Einkehr!" Wem's an Verstand gebricht, zu dem sag ich:
Cualquiera simple, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
"Kommt her, genießt von meiner Speise und trinkt den Wein, den ich gemischt!
Venid, comed mi pan, y bebed del vino que yo he templado.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
Laßt von der Torheit, daß ihr lebet, und schlagt den Weg der Einsicht ein!"
Dejad las simplezas, y vivid; y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
Wer einen Spötter schilt, der holt sich selber Schande, wer einen Frevler tadelt, eigene Schmach.
El que corrige al escarnecedor, afrenta se acarrea: el que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
So tadle nicht den Spötter, daß er dich nicht hasse! Doch tadle einen Weisen, dieser wird dich lieben!
No reprendas al escarnecedor, porque no te aborrezca; corrige al sabio, y te amará.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
Belehre einen Weisen! Und er wird noch weiser. Den Frommen lehr! Er mehrt sein Wissen.
Da al sabio, y será más sabio: enseña al justo, y acrecerá su saber.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
Der Weisheit Anfang ist die Furcht des Herrn; den Heiligen erkennen, das heißt Einsicht.
El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría; y la ciencia de los santos es inteligencia.

Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, y años de vida se te añadirán.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

Bist du jetzt weise, bist du weise dir zum Besten; bist du ein Spötter, hast du es allein zu tragen."
Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás: mas si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
Das Weib der Torheit schwatzt nur dummes Zeug; unwissend ist es.
La mujer loca es alborotadora; es simple é ignorante.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.
Sie sitzt an ihres Hauses Pforte, auf einem Sessel, fern dem Herzen ihrer Stadt,

um denen zuzurufen, die des Weges ziehen und auf den Pfaden fürbaß schreiten:
Para llamar á los que pasan por el camino, que van por sus caminos derechos.
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,
"Wer immer töricht ist, der pflege hier der Einkehr!" Wem's an Verstand gebricht, zu dem möcht ich jetzt sagen:
Cualquiera simple, dice, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:

Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, y el pan comido en oculto es suave.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
“Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant.”
Und er weiß nicht, daß dort die Schatten hausen, daß ihre Gäste in der Hölle Abgrund kommen.
Y no saben que allí están los muertos; que sus convidados están en los profundos de la sepultura.
But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
