Proverbios 9
Septante en francais
1La Sagesse a édifié pour elle une maison, et elle l'a appuyée sur sept colonnes.
2Elle a égorgé ses victimes ; elle a mêlé son vin dans un cratère et a dressé sa table.
3Elle a envoyé ses serviteurs, conviant à boire autour de son cratère, disant :
4Que l'insensé vienne à moi ; et à ceux qui manquent de sens elle a dit :
5Venez, mangez de mon pain ; buvez du vin que j'ai mêlé pour vous.
6Abandonnez la folie, pour régner dans l'éternité ; cherchez la sagesse, et dirigez votre intelligence vers le savoir.
7Celui qui veut instruire les méchants n'y gagnera que de la honte ; celui qui blâme l'impie se moque de soi-même.
8Ne réprimande pas le méchant, de peur qu'il ne te haïsse ; amis corrige le sage, et il t'aimera.
9Donne au sage une occasion d'apprendre, et il sera plus sage ; avertis le juste, et il s'instruira de plus en plus.
10La crainte du Seigneur est le commencement de la sagesse, et le conseil des saints est l'intelligence ; car connaître la loi, c'est l'œuvre d'un bon esprit.
11Et de cette manière tu vivras longtemps, et des années s'ajouteront à ta vie.
12Mon fils, si tu es sage, tu le seras pour toi-même et tes proches ; mais si tu deviens mauvais, toi seul en recueilleras des maux. Celui qui s'appuie sur des mensonges tente de gouverner les vents ou de poursuivre les oiseaux dans leur vol, car il a quitté les voies qui mènent à sa vigne ; il a égaré la charrue de son labourage ; il marche au travers d'un désert aride, d'une terre où l'on meurt de soif ; il recueille de ses mains la stérilité.
13La femme insensée et hardie, qui ne connaît pas la pudeur, en viendra à manquer d'un morceau de pain.
14Elle est assise devant la porte de sa maison, sur un siège apparent dans la rue,
15appelant les passants qui vont droit leur chemin ; disant :
16Que le plus insensé d'entre vous se détourne vers moi ; et à ceux qui manquent de sagesse, je m'adresse, en leur disant :
17Goûtez avec joie des pains que je recèle, et de l'eau douce à la dérobée.
18Or il ne sait pas que des géants mêmes périssent auprès d'elle, et qu'il met le pied sur la trappe de l'enfer ; mais hâte-toi, point de retard en ce lieu ; n'arrête pas ton regard sur elle :
19ainsi tu t'abstiendras de l'eau étrangère ;
20garde-toi de cette eau ; ne bois pas à cette fontaine étrangère,
21afin que tu vives longtemps et que des années de vie s'ajoutent à tes années.

3Envió sus criadas; sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó:
4Cualquiera simple, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
5Venid, comed mi pan, y bebed del vino que yo he templado.
6Dejad las simplezas, y vivid; y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.
7El que corrige al escarnecedor, afrenta se acarrea: el que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.
8No reprendas al escarnecedor, porque no te aborrezca; corrige al sabio, y te amará.
9Da al sabio, y será más sabio: enseña al justo, y acrecerá su saber.
10El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría; y la ciencia de los santos es inteligencia.
11Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, y años de vida se te añadirán.
12Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás: mas si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.
13La mujer loca es alborotadora; es simple é ignorante.
14Siéntase en una silla á la puerta de su casa, en lo alto de la ciudad,
15Para llamar á los que pasan por el camino, que van por sus caminos derechos.
16Cualquiera simple, dice, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
17Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, y el pan comido en oculto es suave.
18Y no saben que allí están los muertos; que sus convidados están en los profundos de la sepultura.

1Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
3She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
7He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
13A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
14For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
15To call passengers who go right on their ways:
16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

1Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
2She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.
3She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
4“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
5“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
6Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
7One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
8Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
9Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.
12If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
