Figliuol mio, non ti scordare della mia legge, e serba in cuor tuo li miei insegnamenti:
HIJO mío, no te olvides de mi ley; y tu corazón guarde mis mandamientos:
My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Perocché questi frutteranno a te lunghezza di giorni, e anni di vita, e pace:
Porque largura de días, y años de vida y paz te aumentarán.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.
Non si distacchino dal tuo fianco la misericordia, e la verità: fanne monile al tuo collo, e portale scritte nelle tavole del tuo cuore,
Misericordia y verdad no te desamparen; átalas á tu cuello, escríbelas en la tabla de tu corazón:
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
E sarai adorno di grazia, e di modesti costumi nel cospetto di Dio, e degli uomini.
Y hallarás gracia y buena opinión en los ojos de Dios y de los hombres.
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Spera con tutto il cuor tuo nel Signore, e non appoggiarti alla tua prudenza.
Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu prudencia.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In tutte le tue circostanze ripensa a lui, ed egli reggerà i tuoi passi.
Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él enderezará tus veredas.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Non esser sapiente negli occhi tuoi; temi Dio, e fuggì dal male:
No seas sabio en tu opinión: teme á Jehová, y apártate del mal;
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Perocché così goderan sanità le tue viscere, e fresche saran le tue ossa.
Porque será medicina á tu ombligo, y tuétano á tus huesos.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.
Onora il Signore colle tue facoltà, e da a lui le primizie di tutti i frutti tuoi:
Honra á Jehová de tu sustancia, y de las primicias de todos tus frutos;
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase;
E i tuoi granaj si empieranno quanto bramar tu puoi, e le tue cantine ridonderanno di vino.
Y serán llenas tus trojes con abundancia, y tus lagares rebosarán de mosto.
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Figliuol mio, non rigettare la correzione del Signore, e non attediarti quand'ei ti gastiga:
No deseches, hijo mío, el castigo de Jehová; ni te fatigues de su corrección:
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
My son, don’t despise the LORD’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;
Perocché corregge il Signore quelli che ama: e ne' quali pone il suo alletto, come un padre nel figlio.
Porque al que ama castiga, como el padre al hijo á quien quiere.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
for whom the LORD loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Beato l'uomo, che ha fatto acquisto della sapienza, e il quale è ricco di prudenza:
Bienaventurado el hombre que halla la sabiduría, y que obtiene la inteligencia:
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
L'acquisto di lei più vale, che l'acquisto dell'argento, e i frutti di lei più che l'oro eletto, e finissimo:
Porque su mercadería es mejor que la mercadería de la plata, y sus frutos más que el oro fino.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.
Ella è più pregevole di tutte le ricchezze, e le cose più stimate non posson mettersi in paragone con essa.
Más preciosa es que las piedras preciosas; y todo lo que puedes desear, no se puede comparar á ella.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Ella ha nella destra mano la lunga vita, nella sinistra le ricchezze, e la gloria.
Largura de días está en su mano derecha; en su izquierda riquezas y honra.

Le vie di lei, vie belle, e in tutti i suoi sentieri è la pace.
Sus caminos son caminos deleitosos, y todas sus veredas paz.

Ella è l'albero della vita per quelli, che la abbracciano, ed è beato chi al suo seno la stringe.
Ella es árbol de vida á los que de ella asen: y bienaventurados son los que la mantienen.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her. Happy is everyone who retains her.
Per la sapienza il Signore fondò la terra, e i cieli ordinò per mezzo della prudenza.
Jehová con sabiduría fundó la tierra; afirmó los cielos con inteligencia.
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Per la sapienza di lui scaturirono le sorgenti, e le nubi in rugiada si addensano.
Con su ciencia se partieron los abismos, y destilan el rocío los cielos.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

Figliuol mio, non perder queste cose di vista giammai: osserva la legge, e i miei consigli:
Hijo mío, no se aparten estas cosas de tus ojos; guarda la ley y el consejo;
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
Ed ei saranno vita all'anima tua, e ornamento al tuo collo:
Y serán vida á tu alma, y gracia á tu cuello.
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
so they will be life to your soul, and grace for your neck.
Allora tu camminerai con fidanza per la tua strada, e non troverà inciampo il tuo piede:
Entonces andarás por tu camino confiadamente, y tu pie no tropezará.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble.
In dormendo sarai senza paure; riposerai, e sarà il tuo sonno soave:
Cuando te acostares, no tendrás temor; antes te acostarás, y tu sueño será suave.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
Non temerai di repentino spavento, nè della possanza degli empj, che ti assalisca.
No tendrás temor de pavor repentino, ni de la ruina de los impíos cuando viniere:
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;
Perocché il Signore sarà al tuo fianco, e governerà i tuoi passi, affinchè tu non sii loro preda.
Porque Jehová será tu confianza, y él preservará tu pie de ser preso.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.
Non impedire, che faccia del bene colui, che può: e se puoi tu, fa del bene.
No detengas el bien de sus dueños, cuando tuvieres poder para hacerlo.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
Non dire al tuo amico: Va, e ritorna, domane ti darò, quando tu puoi dar subito.
No digas á tu prójimo: Ve, y vuelve, y mañana te daré; cuando tienes contigo qué darle.
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you,” when you have it by you.
Non macchinare alcun male contro del tuo amico, mentre quegli si fida di te.
No intentes mal contra tu prójimo, estando él confiado de ti.
Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.
Non litigare con verun uomo senza motivo, quando quegli non ha fatto a te nissun male
No pleitees con alguno sin razón, si él no te ha hecho agravio.
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
Don’t strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.
Non portar invidia all'uomo in giusto, e non imitare i suoi andamenti.
No envidies al hombre injusto, ni escojas alguno de sus caminos.
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.
Perocché gli schernitori tutti sono in abbominazione dinanzi al Signore, e la sua confabulazione è co' semplici.
Porque el perverso es abominado de Jehová: mas su secreto es con los rectos.
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, but his friendship is with the upright.
Dal Signore è mandata la miseria a casa dell'empio; ma saran benedette le abitazioni de' giusti.
La maldición de Jehová está en la casa del impío; mas él bendecirá la morada de los justos.
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
The LORD’s curse is in the house of the wicked, but he blesses the habitation of the righteous.
Da lui gli schernitori saranno scherniti, e sarà data la grazia ai mansueti.
Ciertamente él escarnecerá á los escarnecedores, y á los humildes dará gracia.
Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
Surely he mocks the mockers, but he gives grace to the humble.
I saggj avran per loro retaggio la gloria: l'esaltazione degli stolti è la loro ignominia. Il saggio col suo esempio esorta gli altri a cercare la sapienza, della quale dimostra l'utilità: schivare le vie degli empj, imitare i giusti, custodia del cuore, della bocca, e dei passi.
Los sabios heredarán honra: mas los necios sostendrán ignominia.
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
The wise will inherit glory, but shame will be the promotion of fools.
