Hijo mío, si recibes mis palabras y atesoras mis mandamientos en ti,
HIJO mío, si tomares mis palabras, y mis mandamientos guardares dentro de ti,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,
haciendo que tus oídos pongan atención a la sabiduría e inclinas tu corazón hacia el entendimiento.
Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
Si clamas por entendimiento y alzas tu voz por ella,
Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
si tú le buscas como buscarías la plata y buscas entendimiento según buscarías tesoros escondidos,
Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
entonces entenderás el temor del SEÑOR y encontrarás el conocimiento de Dios.
Entonces entenderás el temor de Jehová, y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
Pues el SEÑOR da sabiduría, de Su boca viene conocimiento y entendimiento.
Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
Él guarda sabiduría sana para aquellos que Le agradan, Él es un escudo para aquellos que caminan en integridad,
El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Él guarda los senderos de justicia y preservará el camino de aquellos que son fieles a Él.
Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
Entonces tú entenderás, rectitud, justicia y equidad y todo buen camino.
Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio, y equidad, y todo buen camino.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
Pues sabiduría vendrá a tu corazón, y conocimiento será agradable a tu alma.
Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
La discreción te cuidará, el entendimiento te guardará.
El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
Te rescatarán de los caminos malignos, de los que hablan cosas perversas,
Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
quienes abandonan los senderos correctos y caminan en los caminos de oscuridad.
Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
Ellos se regocijan cuando hacen maldad y se deleitan en las perversidades del mal.
Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
Ellos siguen senderos torcidos y usando la decepción, esconden sus huellas.
Cuyas veredas son torcidas, y torcidos sus caminos.
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,
Sabiduría y discreción te salvarán de la mujer adúltera, de la mujer inmoral y sus palabras halagadoras.
Para librarte de la mujer extraña, de la ajena que halaga con sus palabras;
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
Ella abandona al compañero de su juventud y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.
Que desampara el príncipe de su mocedad, y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
Pues su casa lleva hacia la muerte y sus huellas te llevarán a los que están en la tumba.
Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
Todos los que vayan a ella, no regresarán otra vez y no encontrarán los senderos de vida.
Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
Pues tú caminarás en el camino de la gente buena y seguirás las sendas de la gente justa.
Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
Aquellos haciendo lo justo harán un hogar en la tierra y los íntegros permanecerán en ella.
Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.
Pero los malvados serán apartados de la tierra y los desleales serán cortados de ella.
Mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra, y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it.
