Mein Sohn, wenn du meine Reden animmstund meine Gebote bei dir verwahrst,
HIJO mío, si tomares mis palabras, y mis mandamientos guardares dentro de ti,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,
so daß du der Weisheit aufmerksam dein Ohr leihst, dein Herz der Vernunft zuneigst -
Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
ja, wenn du der Einsicht rufst, nach der Vernunft hin deine Stimme erschallen lässest,
Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
wenn du sie suchst wie Silberund nach ihr forschest wie nach verborgenen Schätzen -
Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
alsdann wirst du die Furcht Jahwes verstehenund Erkenntnis Gottes gewinnen.
Entonces entenderás el temor de Jehová, y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Denn Jahwe allein verleiht Weisheit, aus seinem Munde kommt Erkenntnis und Vernunft.
Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Er spart den Rechtschaffenen Heil auf, beschirmt die, die unsträflich wandeln,
El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
so daß er die Pfade des Rechts behütetund den Weg seiner Frommen bewahrt.
Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
Alsdann wirst du Gerechtigkeit und Recht verstehenund Geradheit, jede Bahn des Guten.
Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio, y equidad, y todo buen camino.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
Denn Weisheit wird in dein Herz einziehenund Erkenntnis wird deiner Seele lieblich sein;
Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Umsicht wird dich bewahren, Vernunft deine Hüterin sein, -
El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
daß sie dich vom Wege des Bösen errette, von den Leuten, die Verkehrtes reden,
Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
die der Geradheit Pfade verlassen, um auf den Wegen der Finsternis zu wandeln,
Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
die sich freuen, Böses zu thun, über schlimme Verkehrtheit frohlocken,
Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
die ihre Pfade krumm machenund in ihren Bahnen auf Abwege geraten -
Cuyas veredas son torcidas, y torcidos sus caminos.
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,
daß sie dich von dem fremden Weibe errette, von der Auswärtigen, die einschmeichelnd redet,
Para librarte de la mujer extraña, de la ajena que halaga con sus palabras;
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
die den Freund ihrer Jugend im Stiche gelassenund den von ihrem Gotte geordneten Bund vergessen hat.
Que desampara el príncipe de su mocedad, y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
Denn zum Tode sinkt ihr Haus hinab, und zu den Schatten führen ihre Bahnen.
Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
Alle, die zu ihr eingehen, kehren nicht wiederund erreichen nicht des Lebens Pfade -
Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
damit du auf dem Wege der Guten wandelstund die Pfade der Frommen einhaltest.
Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Denn die Rechtschaffenen werden das Land bewohnen, und die Unsträflichen darin übrig bleiben.
Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;

Aber die Gottlosen werden aus dem Lande ausgerottet, und die Treulosen aus ihm herausgerissen werden.
Mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra, y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
