Proverbios 2

1Mein Sohn! Nimmst du jetzt meine Worte an und bewahrst du bei dir, was ich geboten,
2und lauscht dein Ohr auf Weisheit und neigt dein Herz sich zur Vernunft
3und rufst nach Einsicht du und schreist du nach Verstand
4und suchst du sie wie Silber und spürst ihr nach gleich wie verborgnen Schätzen,
5alsdann begreifst auch du die Furcht des Herrn, gewinnst Erkenntnis Gottes,
6daß Weisheit nur der Herr verleiht, aus seinem Mund Erkenntnis und Vernunft herrühren,
7und daß er guten Rat für Rechtliche aufspart, ein Schild ist denen, die unsträflich wandeln,
8die von des Rechtes Bahnen nicht abweichen, jedoch die Wege seiner Frommen gehen, -
9alsdann wirst du Gerechtigkeit und Recht verstehen, Geradheit, jede Bahn des Guten,
10denn Weisheit kommt dir in das Herz und die Erkenntnis weilt in deiner Seele.
11Dann ist die Umsicht dir ein Schutz; Vernunft ist deine Hüterin.
12Sie rettet dich vor schlimmen Schurken, vor Lügenrednern,
13die von des Lichtes Pfaden lassen und auf dem Weg des Finstern wandeln, -
14die freudig Böses tun und ob dem Untergang des Nächsten jubeln, -
15vor Leuten, deren Pfade krumm und deren Bahnen ganz verkehrt.
16Sie rettet dich vor andern Weibern, vor einer Fremden voller Schmeichelreden,
17die den Vertrauten ihrer Jugend läßt und den vor ihrem Gott geschlossenen Bund vergißt.
18Dem Tode nahe steht ihr Haus, und zu den Schatten führen ihre Bahnen.
19Wer zu ihr eingeht, kehrt nicht wieder; betritt niemals des Lebens Pfade.
20Dann kannst du auf dem Weg der Guten wandeln und an der Frommen Pfad dich halten.
21Denn nur wer recht tut, darf im Lande wohnen; nur wer untadelig, drin übrigbleiben.
22Die Schlechten aber werden aus dem Land vertilgt und die Betrüger aus ihm ausgerissen.

1HIJO mío, si tomares mis palabras, y mis mandamientos guardares dentro de ti,
2Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;
3Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;
4Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;
5Entonces entenderás el temor de Jehová, y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.
6Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.
7El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.
8Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.
9Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio, y equidad, y todo buen camino.
10Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,
11El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:
12Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;
13Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;
14Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
15Cuyas veredas son torcidas, y torcidos sus caminos.
16Para librarte de la mujer extraña, de la ajena que halaga con sus palabras;
17Que desampara el príncipe de su mocedad, y se olvida del pacto de su Dios.
18Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:
19Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.
20Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.
21Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;
22Mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra, y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.

1My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
World English Bible
1My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,
2so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
3yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
4if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
5then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
7He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
9Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
10For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
12to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
13who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
14who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
15who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,
16to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
17who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
18for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
19None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
20Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.
22But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it.
