Hijo mío, si recibes mis palabras y atesoras mis mandamientos dentro de ti,
HIJO mío, si tomares mis palabras, y mis mandamientos guardares dentro de ti,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,
haciendo que tu oído se incline a la sabiduría y entregues tu corazón a la prudencia;
Haciendo estar atento tu oído á la sabiduría; si inclinares tu corazón á la prudencia;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
si de veras invocas a la inteligencia y a la prudencia elevas tu voz;
Si clamares á la inteligencia, y á la prudencia dieres tu voz;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
si como a la plata la buscas y la rastreas como a tesoros escondidos,
Si como á la plata la buscares, y la escudriñares como á tesoros;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
entonces entenderás el temor de Yahvé y hallarás el conocimiento de Dios.

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Porque Yahvé da la sabiduría; de su boca proceden la ciencia y la inteligencia.
Porque Jehová da la sabiduría, y de su boca viene el conocimiento y la inteligencia.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Él reserva la sana sabiduría para los rectos; es broquel para los que caminan en integridad,
El provee de sólida sabiduría á los rectos: es escudo á los que caminan rectamente.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
a fin de que guarden las sendas del juicio y preserve el camino de sus santos.
Es el que guarda las veredas del juicio, y preserva el camino de sus santos.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
Entonces entenderás justicia, juicio y equidad, y todo buen camino.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón y el conocimiento fuere grato a tu alma,
Cuando la sabiduría entrare en tu corazón, y la ciencia fuere dulce á tu alma,
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
la discreción te guardará; te preservará la inteligencia,
El consejo te guardará, te preservará la inteligencia:
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades,
Para librarte del mal camino, de los hombres que hablan perversidades;
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
que abandonan las sendas derechas para andar por caminos de tinieblas;
Que dejan las veredas derechas, por andar en caminos tenebrosos;
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
que se alegran haciendo el mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
Que se alegran haciendo mal, que se huelgan en las perversidades del vicio;
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
cuyas veredas son torcidas y torcidos sus caminos;

Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

para librarte de la mujer ajena, de la extraña que halaga con sus palabras,

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
Por lo cual su casa se desliza hacia la muerte, y sus sendas hacia las sombras.
Por lo cual su casa está inclinada á la muerte, y sus veredas hacia los muertos:
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
Todos los que a ella van, no volverán, ni alcanzarán los senderos de la vida.
Todos los que á ella entraren, no volverán, ni tomarán las veredas de la vida.
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
Así andarás por el camino de los buenos y guardarás las veredas de los justos;
Para que andes por el camino de los buenos, y guardes las veredas de los justos.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
porque los rectos habitarán la tierra y los íntegros permanecerán en ella,
Porque los rectos habitarán la tierra, y los perfectos permanecerán en ella;
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

mas los impíos serán cortados de la tierra y los prevaricadores serán de ella desarraigados.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
