Proverbios 29
Biblia Torres Amat
1Al hombre de dura cerviz, que desprecia al que le corrige, le sorprenderá de repente su total ruina, y no tendrá remedio.
2Cuando se multiplican los justos, se llena de gozo el pueblo; cuando los impíos toman las riendas del gobierno; el pueblo tendrá que gemir.
3El hombre que ama la sabiduría, es el consuelo de su padre; mas aquel que mantiene prostitutas, disipará su hacienda.
4El rey justo hace felices sus estados; el hombre avariento los arruina vendiendo la justicia.
5El que hablando con su amigo usa palabras halagüeñas y fingidas, le tiende una red a sus pies.
6El hombre pecador e inicuo caerá en su mismo lazo; y el justo cantará himnos y se regocijará.
7El varón justo se informa de la causa de los pobres; el impío de nada de esto se cuida.
8Los hombres malvados son la ruina de la ciudad; mas los sabios la salvan del furor.
9El varón sabio que disputare con el insensato, ora se enoje contra él, ora se ría, no logrará estar con sosiego.
10Aborrecen al sencillo los hombres sanguinarios; mas los justos procuran salvarle la vida.
11El insensato habla luego cuanto en su pecho tiene; pero el que es sabio no se apresura, sino que reserva algunas cosas en adelante.
12El príncipe que escucha con gusto las mentiras y chismes, no tendrá sino ministros perversos.
13Se encontraron el pobre y su acreedor; a ambos alumbra el Señor Dios.
14El rey que hace justicia a los pobres juzgando según la verdad, afianza su trono para siempre.
15El castigo y la reprensión acarrean sabiduría; pero el muchacho abandonado a sus antojos, es la confusión de su madre.
16Multiplicándose los impíos, se multiplicarán las maldades; más los justos serán la ruina de los inicuos.
17Instruye o cría bien a tu hijo y será tu consuelo y las delicias de tu alma.
18Faltando la profecía, será disipado el pueblo; pero bienaventurado será el que guardare la ley.
19No bastan las solas palabras para corregir a un ánimo que sólo obra por temor, porque conoce bien lo que tú dices, mas no quiere darse por entendido.
20¿Has visto tú algún hombre que se precipita para hablar? Antes se puede esperar la enmienda del necio que del locuaz.
21Quien cría en el regalo desde la niñez a su siervo, después lo experimentará ingrato.
22Levanta quimeras el hombre colérico; y quien fácilmente se enoja estará más expuesto a pecar.
23Sigue al soberbio la humillación; mas el humilde de espíritu será glorificado.
24Quien con un ladrón se asocia, a su propia alma aborrece; oye al que le toma juramento, y nada declara.
25El que sólo al hombre teme, presto caerá; el que espera en el Señor será exaltado.
26Buscan muchos el favor del príncipe; mas del Señor ha de venir el juicio o destino de cada uno.
27Los justos abominan a los impíos, y los impíos abominan a los que siguen el buen camino. El hijo que observa esta doctrina seguro está de no perderse.

1EL hombre que reprendido endurece la cerviz, de repente será quebrantado; ni habrá para él medicina.
2Cuando los justos dominan, el pueblo se alegra: mas cuando domina el impío, el pueblo gime.
3El hombre que ama la sabiduría, alegra á su padre: mas el que mantiene rameras, perderá la hacienda.
4El rey con el juicio afirma la tierra: mas el hombre de presentes la destruirá.
5El hombre que lisonjea á su prójimo, red tiende delante de sus pasos.
6En la prevaricación del hombre malo hay lazo: mas el justo cantará y se alegrará.
7Conoce el justo la causa de los pobres: mas el impío no entiende sabiduría.
8Los hombres escarnecedores enlazan la ciudad: mas los sabios apartan la ira.
9Si el hombre sabio contendiere con el necio, que se enoje ó que se ría, no tendrá reposo.
10Los hombres sanguinarios aborrecen al perfecto: mas los rectos buscan su contentamiento.
11El necio da suelta á todo su espíritu; mas el sabio al fin le sosiega.
12Del señor que escucha la palabra mentirosa, todos sus ministros son impíos.
13El pobre y el usurero se encontraron: Jehová alumbra los ojos de ambos.
14El rey que juzga con verdad á los pobres, su trono será firme para siempre.
15La vara y la corrección dan sabiduría: mas el muchacho consentido avergonzará á su madre.
16Cuando los impíos son muchos, mucha es la prevaricación; mas los justos verán la ruina de ellos.
17Corrige á tu hijo, y te dará descanso, y dará deleite á tu alma.
18Sin profecía el pueblo será disipado: mas el que guarda la ley, bienaventurado él.
19El siervo no se corregirá con palabras: porque entiende, mas no corresponde.
20¿Has visto hombre ligero en sus palabras? más esperanza hay del necio que de él.
21El que regala á su siervo desde su niñez, á la postre será su hijo.
22El hombre iracundo levanta contiendas; y el furioso muchas veces peca.
23La soberbia del hombre le abate; pero al humilde de espíritu sustenta la honra.
24El aparcero del ladrón aborrece su vida; oirá maldiciones, y no lo denunciará.
25El temor del hombre pondrá lazo: mas el que confía en Jehová será levantado.
26Muchos buscan el favor del príncipe: mas de Jehová viene el juicio de cada uno.
27Abominación es á los justos el hombre inicuo; y abominación es al impío el de rectos caminos.

1He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
4The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
5A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
6In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
8Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
11A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
12If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
13The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.
14The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
15The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.
17Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
19A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
20Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
21He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.
22An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
24Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
25The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
26Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.
27An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

1He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
2When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.
5A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.
6An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.
7The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge.
8Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
9If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
10The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright.
11A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
12If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked.
13The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.
14The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
15The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
16When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall.
17Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
18Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
19A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
20Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end.
22An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
23A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.
24Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
25The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.
26Many seek the ruler’s favor, but a man’s justice comes from the LORD.
27A dishonest man detests the righteous, and the upright in their ways detest the wicked.
