Proverbios 29
Leeser Old Testament
1A man that, having received many admonitions, still hardeneth his neck, will suddenly be broken, and this without remedy.
2When the righteous are in authority, the people will rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people groan.
3The man that loveth wisdom causeth his father to rejoice; but he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth his wealth.
4A king will through the exercise of justice establish the welfare of a land; but one that loveth gifts overthroweth it.
5A man that flattereth his neighbor spreadeth a net for his steps.
6In the transgression of a man there is an evil snare: but the righteous ever singeth and rejoiceth.
7The righteous considereth the cause of the indigent: but the wicked will not understand the knowledge of justice.
8Scornful men will kindle confusion in a town; but the wise turn away wrath.
9If a wise man contend with a foolish man, whether he be angry or whether he laugh, he will have no rest.
10Men of blood hate the guiltless one; but the upright seek to preserve his life.
11A fool uttereth all his mind; but the wise holdeth it back.
12If a ruler listen to the word of falsehood, all his servants become wicked.
13The poor and the man of exactions meet together: the Lord enlighteneth the eyes of both of them.
14When a king judgeth in truth the indigent, his throne shall stand firmly for ever.
15The rod and reproof impart wisdom; but a lad abandoned to himself bringeth shame on his mother.
16With the increase of the wicked transgression increaseth; but the righteous shall yet look on their downfall.
17Correct thy son, and he will procure thee rest: yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.
18Without a prophetic vision a people become unruly; but when it observeth the law, then will it be happy.
19Not with words alone can a servant be corrected; for though he understand, there will be no response.
20Seest then a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope for a fool than for him.
21If one rear his servant delicately from his youth, then will he at length become as his son.
22A man of anger stirreth up strife; and a man of fury aboundeth in transgression.
23The pride of a man will humble him; but the humble in spirit will attain to honor.
24Whoso divideth with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth the adjuration and dareth not to tell.
25The dread of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord will be upheld in safety.
26Many seek the favor of a ruler; but from the Lord cometh justice for man.
27An abomination of the righteous is an unjust man: and an abomination of the wicked is one who is upright in his way.

1EL hombre que reprendido endurece la cerviz, de repente será quebrantado; ni habrá para él medicina.
2Cuando los justos dominan, el pueblo se alegra: mas cuando domina el impío, el pueblo gime.
3El hombre que ama la sabiduría, alegra á su padre: mas el que mantiene rameras, perderá la hacienda.
4El rey con el juicio afirma la tierra: mas el hombre de presentes la destruirá.
5El hombre que lisonjea á su prójimo, red tiende delante de sus pasos.
6En la prevaricación del hombre malo hay lazo: mas el justo cantará y se alegrará.
7Conoce el justo la causa de los pobres: mas el impío no entiende sabiduría.
8Los hombres escarnecedores enlazan la ciudad: mas los sabios apartan la ira.
9Si el hombre sabio contendiere con el necio, que se enoje ó que se ría, no tendrá reposo.
10Los hombres sanguinarios aborrecen al perfecto: mas los rectos buscan su contentamiento.
11El necio da suelta á todo su espíritu; mas el sabio al fin le sosiega.
12Del señor que escucha la palabra mentirosa, todos sus ministros son impíos.
13El pobre y el usurero se encontraron: Jehová alumbra los ojos de ambos.
14El rey que juzga con verdad á los pobres, su trono será firme para siempre.
15La vara y la corrección dan sabiduría: mas el muchacho consentido avergonzará á su madre.
16Cuando los impíos son muchos, mucha es la prevaricación; mas los justos verán la ruina de ellos.
17Corrige á tu hijo, y te dará descanso, y dará deleite á tu alma.
18Sin profecía el pueblo será disipado: mas el que guarda la ley, bienaventurado él.
19El siervo no se corregirá con palabras: porque entiende, mas no corresponde.
20¿Has visto hombre ligero en sus palabras? más esperanza hay del necio que de él.
21El que regala á su siervo desde su niñez, á la postre será su hijo.
22El hombre iracundo levanta contiendas; y el furioso muchas veces peca.
23La soberbia del hombre le abate; pero al humilde de espíritu sustenta la honra.
24El aparcero del ladrón aborrece su vida; oirá maldiciones, y no lo denunciará.
25El temor del hombre pondrá lazo: mas el que confía en Jehová será levantado.
26Muchos buscan el favor del príncipe: mas de Jehová viene el juicio de cada uno.
27Abominación es á los justos el hombre inicuo; y abominación es al impío el de rectos caminos.

2When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
4The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
5A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
6In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
8Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

19A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.

26Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.
27An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

1He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
2When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.
5A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.
6An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.
7The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge.
8Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
9If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
10The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright.
11A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
12If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked.
13The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.
14The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
15The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
16When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall.
17Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
18Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
19A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
20Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end.
22An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
23A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor.
24Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
25The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.
26Many seek the ruler’s favor, but a man’s justice comes from the LORD.
27A dishonest man detests the righteous, and the upright in their ways detest the wicked.
