No seas envidioso de los que son malignos, ni desees asociarte con ellos
NO tengas envidia de los hombres malos, ni desees estar con ellos:
Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
Don’t be envious of evil men, neither desire to be with them;
porque sus corazones traman violencia y sus labios hablan sobre problemas.
Porque su corazón piensa en robar, é iniquidad hablan sus labios.
For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
for their hearts plot violence and their lips talk about mischief.
Con la sabiduría una casa es construida y por el entendimiento es establecida.
Con sabiduría se edificará la casa, y con prudencia se afirmará:
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established;
Por conocimiento los cuartos son llenos con todas preciosas y placenteras riquezas.
Y con ciencia se henchirán las cámaras de todo bien preciado y agradable.
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure.
Un guerrero de la sabiduría es fuerte, y un hombre de conocimiento incrementa su fuerza;
El hombre sabio es fuerte; y de pujante vigor el hombre docto.
A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
A wise man has great power. A knowledgeable man increases strength,
pues por sabia dirección puedes pelear tu guerra y con muchos consejeros hay victoria.
Porque con ingenio harás la guerra: y la salud está en la multitud de consejeros.
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
for by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors.
La sabiduría es muy elevada para un tonto; en la puerta él no abre su boca.
Alta está para el insensato la sabiduría: en la puerta no abrirá él su boca.
Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.
Wisdom is too high for a fool. He doesn’t open his mouth in the gate.
Hay uno que planea hacer el mal, la gente lo llama un maestro de intrigas.
Al que piensa mal hacer le llamarán hombre de malos pensamientos.
He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
One who plots to do evil will be called a schemer.
Un plan tonto es pecado y los hombres desprecian a un burlador.
El pensamiento del necio es pecado: y abominación á los hombres el escarnecedor.
The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.
The schemes of folly are sin. The mocker is detested by men.
Si te vuelves débil con miedo en el día del problema, entonces tu fuerza es poca.
Si fueres flojo en el día de trabajo, tu fuerza será reducida.
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
If you falter in the time of trouble, your strength is small.
Rescata a los que son llevados a morir y guarda a los que se tambalean ante la masacre.
Si dejares de librar los que son tomados para la muerte, y los que son llevados al degolladero;
If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!
Si tú dices: "Mira, nosotros no sabíamos nada sobre esto," ¿acaso el que pesa el corazón no entiende lo que quieres decir? El que guarda tu vida, ¿no lo sabe? ¿No le dará Dios a cada uno lo que merece?
Si dijeres: Ciertamente no lo supimos; ¿no lo entenderá el que pesa los corazones? El que mira por tu alma, él lo conocerá, y dará al hombre según sus obras.
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
If you say, “Behold, we didn’t know this,” doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not give to every man according to his work?
Hijo mío, come miel porque es buena, porque las gotas del panal son dulces a tu paladar.
Come, hijo mío, de la miel, porque es buena, y del panal dulce á tu paladar:
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
My son, eat honey, for it is good, the droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste;
Así es la sabiduría para tu alma, si la encuentras, habrá un futuro y tu esperanza no será cortada.
Tal será el conocimiento de la sabiduría á tu alma: si la hallares tendrá recompensa, y al fin tu esperanza no será cortada.
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
so you shall know wisdom to be to your soul. If you have found it, then there will be a reward: Your hope will not be cut off.
No te quedes esperando como la persona malvada que ataca la casa de la persona justa. ¡No destruyas su hogar!
Oh impío, no aceches la tienda del justo, no saquees su cámara;
Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
Don’t lay in wait, wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous. Don’t destroy his resting place;
Pues la persona justa se cae siete veces y se levanta otra vez, pero la gente malvada son derrumbadas por calamidad.
Porque siete veces cae el justo, y se torna á levantar; mas los impíos caerán en el mal.
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
for a righteous man falls seven times and rises up again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
No celebres cuando tu enemigo caiga y no permitas que tu corazón se alegre cuando él se tropieza,
Cuando cayere tu enemigo, no te huelgues; y cuando tropezare, no se alegre tu corazón:
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
Don’t rejoice when your enemy falls. Don’t let your heart be glad when he is overthrown,
o el SEÑOR lo verá y desaprobará y quitará su ira de él.
Porque Jehová no lo mire, y le desagrade, y aparte de sobre él su enojo.
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
No te preocupes por los malhechores, y no envidies a la gente malvada,
No te entrometas con los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los impíos;
Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;
Don’t fret yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious of the wicked;
pues la persona malvada no tiene futuro y la lámpara del malvado se apagará.
Porque para el malo no habrá buen fin, y la candela de los impíos será apagada.
For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.
for there will be no reward to the evil man. The lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.
Hijo mío, teman al SEÑOR, y teman al rey; no te asocies con los que se rebelan en contra de ellos,
Teme á Jehová, hijo mío, y al rey; no te entrometas con los veleidosos:
My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
My son, fear the LORD and the king. Don’t join those who are rebellious,
pues de pronto su desastre vendrá y, ¿quién sabe el alcance de la destrucción que vendrá de los dos?
Porque su quebrantamiento se levantará de repente; y el quebrantamiento de ambos, ¿quién lo comprende?
For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
for their calamity will rise suddenly. Who knows what destruction may come from them both?
Estos también son dichos de los sabios. La parcialidad en el juicio de un caso en ley no es buena.
También estas cosas pertenecen á los sabios. Tener respeto á personas en el juicio no es bueno.
These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judgment is not good.
Quien sea que diga a la persona malvada: "Eres una persona justa," será maldito por pueblos y odiado por naciones.
El que dijere al malo, Justo eres, los pueblos lo maldecirán, y le detestarán las naciones:
He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
He who says to the wicked, “You are righteous,” peoples will curse him, and nations will abhor him—
Pero los que disciplinan a los malvados tendrán deleite y regalos de bondad le llegarán.
Mas los que lo reprenden, serán agradables, y sobre ellos vendrá bendición de bien.
But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
but it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich blessing will come on them.
El que da una contestación honesta, da un beso en los labios.
Besados serán los labios del que responde palabras rectas.
Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.
An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.
Prepara tu trabajo de cultivo y prepara todo para ti en el campo; y después de eso construye tu casa.
Apresta tu obra de afuera, y disponla en tu heredad; y después edificarás tu casa.
Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.
No des testimonio falso en contra de tu vecino sin causa y no engañes con tus labios.
No seas sin causa testigo contra tu prójimo; y no lisonjees con tus labios.
Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.
Don’t be a witness against your neighbor without cause. Don’t deceive with your lips.
No digas: "Le haré a él lo que me ha hecho el a mí; le devolveré a él lo que ha hecho."
No digas: Como me hizo, así le haré; daré el pago al hombre según su obra.
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
Don’t say, “I will do to him as he has done to me; I will repay the man according to his work.”
Pasé por el campo de un hombre perozoso pasando el viñedo del hombre insensato.
Pasé junto á la heredad del hombre perezoso, y junto á la viña del hombre falto de entendimiento;
I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
I went by the field of the sluggard, by the vineyard of the man void of understanding.
Las espinas habían crecido por todos lados; el suelo estaba cubierto de ortigas, y su pared de piedra estaba derribada.
Y he aquí que por toda ella habían ya crecido espinas, ortigas habían ya cubierto su haz, y su cerca de piedra estaba ya destruída.
And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
Behold, it was all grown over with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down.
Entonces lo vi y lo consideré; yo miré y recibí instrucción.
Y yo miré, y púselo en mi corazón: vilo, y tomé consejo.
Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

Dormir un poco, cabecear un poco, doblar las manos un poco para descansar,
Un poco de sueño, cabeceando otro poco, poniendo mano sobre mano otro poco para dormir;
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep,
y la pobreza y tus necesidades llegarán marchando sobre ti como un soldado armado.
Así vendrá como caminante tu necesidad, y tu pobreza como hombre de escudo.
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
so your poverty will come as a robber and your want as an armed man.
