Proverbios 21
Sainte Bible libre pour le monde
1Le cœur du roi est dans la main de Yahvé comme les cours d'eau. Il le tourne où il veut.
2Toute voie de l'homme est droite à ses propres yeux, mais Yahvé pèse les cœurs.
3Faire preuve de droiture et de justice est plus acceptable pour Yahvé que le sacrifice.
4Un regard hautain et un cœur fier, la lampe des méchants, c'est le péché.
5Les plans des personnes diligentes mènent sûrement au profit ; et quiconque est pressé se précipite dans la pauvreté.
6Obtenir des trésors par une langue mensongère n'est qu'une vapeur éphémère pour ceux qui cherchent la mort.
7La violence des méchants les chassera, parce qu'ils refusent de faire ce qui est juste.
8Le chemin des coupables est tortueux, mais la conduite de l'innocent est droite.
9Il vaut mieux habiter à l'angle du toit. que de partager une maison avec une femme querelleuse.
10L'âme des méchants désire le mal ; son voisin ne trouve aucune pitié à ses yeux.
11Quand le moqueur est puni, le simple acquiert la sagesse. Lorsque le sage est instruit, il reçoit la connaissance.
12Le Juste considère la maison des méchants, et mène les méchants à la ruine.
13Celui qui ferme ses oreilles au cri du pauvre, il criera aussi, mais ne sera pas entendu.
14Un cadeau en secret apaise la colère, et un pot-de-vin dans le manteau, une forte colère.
15C'est une joie pour le juste de faire justice ; mais c'est une destruction pour les ouvriers de l'iniquité.
16L'homme qui s'écarte du chemin de l'intelligence reposera dans l'assemblée des esprits défunts.
17Celui qui aime le plaisir sera un pauvre homme. Celui qui aime le vin et l'huile ne sera pas riche.
18Le méchant est la rançon du juste, les perfides pour les honnêtes.
19Il vaut mieux habiter dans une terre déserte, qu'avec une femme querelleuse et capricieuse.
20Il y a des trésors précieux et de l'huile dans la demeure des sages, mais un homme insensé l'avale.
21Celui qui suit la justice et la bonté trouve la vie, la justice et l'honneur.
22Un sage balance la ville des puissants, et fait baisser la force de sa confiance.
23Celui qui garde sa bouche et sa langue protège son âme des problèmes.
24L'homme fier et arrogant - « Scoffer » est son nom - il travaille dans l'arrogance de l'orgueil.
25Le désir du paresseux le tue, car ses mains refusent de travailler.
26Il y a ceux qui convoitent avec avidité tout le jour ; mais les justes donnent et ne retiennent pas.
27Le sacrifice des méchants est une abomination- combien plus, quand il l'apporte avec un esprit méchant !
28Le faux témoin périra. Un homme qui écoute parle à l'éternité.
29L'homme méchant endurcit son visage ; mais pour celui qui est droit, il établit ses voies.
30Il n'y a ni sagesse ni compréhension ni de conseil contre Yahvé.
31Le cheval est préparé pour le jour de la bataille ; mais la victoire est avec Yahvé.

1COMO los repartimientos de las aguas, así está el corazón del rey en la mano de Jehová: á todo lo que quiere lo inclina.
2Todo camino del hombre es recto en su opinión: mas Jehová pesa los corazones.
3Hacer justicia y juicio es á Jehová más agradable que sacrificio.
4Altivez de ojos, y orgullo de corazón, y el brillo de los impíos, son pecado.
5Los pensamientos del solícito ciertamente van á abundancia; mas todo presuroso, indefectiblemente á pobreza.
6Allegar tesoros con lengua de mentira, es vanidad desatentada de aquellos que buscan la muerte.
7La rapiña de los impíos los destruirá; por cuanto no quisieron hacer juicio.
8El camino del hombre perverso es torcido y extraño: mas la obra del limpio es recta.
9Mejor es vivir en un rincón de zaquizamí, que con la mujer rencillosa en espaciosa casa.
10El alma del impío desea mal: su prójimo no le parece bien.
11Cuando el escarnecedor es castigado, el simple se hace sabio; y cuando se amonestare al sabio, aprenderá ciencia.
12Considera el justo la casa del impío: cómo los impíos son trastornados por el mal.
13El que cierra su oído al clamor del pobre, también él clamará, y no será oído.
14El presente en secreto amansa el furor, y el don en el seno, la fuerte ira.
15Alegría es al justo hacer juicio; mas quebrantamiento á los que hacen iniquidad.
16El hombre que se extravía del camino de la sabiduría, vendrá á parar en la compañía de los muertos.
17Hombre necesitado será el que ama el deleite: y el que ama el vino y ungüentos no enriquecerá.
18El rescate del justo es el impío, y por los rectos el prevaricador.
19Mejor es morar en tierra del desierto, que con la mujer rencillosa é iracunda.
20Tesoro codiciable y pingüe hay en la casa del sabio; mas el hombre insensato lo disipará.
21El que sigue la justicia y la misericordia, hallará la vida, la justicia, y la honra.
22La ciudad de los fuertes tomó el sabio, y derribó la fuerza en que ella confiaba.
23El que guarda su boca y su lengua, su alma guarda de angustias.
24Soberbio y presuntuoso escarnecedor es el nombre del que obra con orgullosa saña.
25El deseo del perezoso le mata, porque sus manos no quieren trabajar.
26Hay quien todo el día codicia: mas el justo da, y no desperdicia.
27El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación: ¡cuánto más ofreciéndolo con maldad!
28El testigo mentiroso perecerá: mas el hombre que oye, permanecerá en su dicho.
29El hombre impío afirma su rostro: mas el recto ordena sus caminos.
30No hay sabiduría, ni inteligencia, ni consejo, contra Jehová.
31El caballo se apareja para el día de la batalla: mas de Jehová es el salvar.

1The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
3To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
5The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
6The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
7The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
8The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
9It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
10The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
11When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
12The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
13Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
14A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
15It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
16The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
17He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
18The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
19It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
20There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
22A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
24Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
25The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
26He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
27The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
28A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
29A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
30There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

3To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4A high look and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6Getting treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7The violence of the wicked will drive them away, because they refuse to do what is right.
8The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom. When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, and brings the wicked to ruin.
