Proverbios 21
Bible David Martin 1744
1Le coeur du Roi est en la main de l’Eternel comme des ruisseaux d’eaux, il l’incline à tout ce qu’il veut.
2Chaque voie de l’homme lui semble droite ; mais l’Eternel pèse les coeurs.
3Faire ce qui est juste et droit, est une chose que l’Eternel aime mieux que des sacrifices.
4Les yeux élevés, et le coeur enflé, est le labourage des méchants, qui n’est que péché.
5Les pensées d’un homme diligent le conduisent à l’abondance, mais tout étourdi tombe dans l’indigence.
6Travailler à avoir des trésors par une langue trompeuse, c’est une vanité poussée au loin par ceux qui cherchent la mort.
7Le fourragement des méchants les abattra, parce qu’ils auront refusé de faire ce qui est droit.
8Quand un homme marche de travers, il s’égare ; mais l’oeuvre de celui qui est pur, est droite.
9Il vaut mieux habiter au coin d’un toit, que dans une maison spacieuse avec une femme querelleuse.
10L’âme du méchant souhaite le mal, et son prochain ne trouve point de grâce devant lui.
11Quand on punit le moqueur, le niais devient sage ; et quand on instruit le sage, il reçoit la science.
12Le juste considère prudemment la maison du méchant, quand les méchants sont renversés dans la misère.
13Celui qui bouche son oreille pour n’ouïr point le cri du chétif, criera aussi lui-même, et on ne lui répondra point.
14Le don fait en secret apaise la colère, et le présent mis au sein apaise une véhémente fureur.
15C’est une joie au juste de faire ce qui est droit ; mais c’est une frayeur aux ouvriers d’iniquité.
16L’homme qui se détourne du chemin de la prudence aura sa demeure dans l’assemblée des trépassés.
17L’homme qui aime à rire, sera indigent ; et celui qui aime le vin et la graisse, ne s’enrichira point.
18Le méchant sera l’échange du juste ; et le perfide, au lieu des hommes intègres.
19Il vaut mieux habiter dans une terre déserte, qu’avec une femme querelleuse et qui se dépite.
20La provision désirable, et l’huile, est dans la demeure du sage ; mais l’homme fou l’engloutit.
21Celui qui s’adonne soigneusement à la justice, et à la miséricorde, trouvera la vie, la justice, et la gloire.
22Le sage entre dans la ville des forts, et rabaisse la force de sa confiance.
23Celui qui garde sa bouche et sa langue, garde son âme de détresse.
24Un superbe arrogant s’appelle un moqueur, qui fait tout avec colère et fierté.
25Le souhait du paresseux le tue ; car ses mains ont refusé de travailler.
26Il y a tel qui tout le jour ne fait que souhaiter ; mais le juste donne, et n’épargne rien.
27Le sacrifice des méchants est une abomination ; combien plus s’ils l’apportent avec une méchante intention ?
28Le témoin menteur périra ; mais l’homme qui écoute, parlera avec gain de cause.
29L’homme méchant a un air impudent ; mais l’homme juste dresse ses voies.
30Il n’y a ni sagesse, ni intelligence, ni conseil contre l’Eternel.
31Le cheval est équipé pour le jour de la bataille, mais la délivrance vient de l’Eternel.

1COMO los repartimientos de las aguas, así está el corazón del rey en la mano de Jehová: á todo lo que quiere lo inclina.
2Todo camino del hombre es recto en su opinión: mas Jehová pesa los corazones.
3Hacer justicia y juicio es á Jehová más agradable que sacrificio.
4Altivez de ojos, y orgullo de corazón, y el brillo de los impíos, son pecado.
5Los pensamientos del solícito ciertamente van á abundancia; mas todo presuroso, indefectiblemente á pobreza.
6Allegar tesoros con lengua de mentira, es vanidad desatentada de aquellos que buscan la muerte.
7La rapiña de los impíos los destruirá; por cuanto no quisieron hacer juicio.
8El camino del hombre perverso es torcido y extraño: mas la obra del limpio es recta.
9Mejor es vivir en un rincón de zaquizamí, que con la mujer rencillosa en espaciosa casa.
10El alma del impío desea mal: su prójimo no le parece bien.
11Cuando el escarnecedor es castigado, el simple se hace sabio; y cuando se amonestare al sabio, aprenderá ciencia.
12Considera el justo la casa del impío: cómo los impíos son trastornados por el mal.
13El que cierra su oído al clamor del pobre, también él clamará, y no será oído.
14El presente en secreto amansa el furor, y el don en el seno, la fuerte ira.
15Alegría es al justo hacer juicio; mas quebrantamiento á los que hacen iniquidad.
16El hombre que se extravía del camino de la sabiduría, vendrá á parar en la compañía de los muertos.
17Hombre necesitado será el que ama el deleite: y el que ama el vino y ungüentos no enriquecerá.
18El rescate del justo es el impío, y por los rectos el prevaricador.
19Mejor es morar en tierra del desierto, que con la mujer rencillosa é iracunda.
20Tesoro codiciable y pingüe hay en la casa del sabio; mas el hombre insensato lo disipará.
21El que sigue la justicia y la misericordia, hallará la vida, la justicia, y la honra.
22La ciudad de los fuertes tomó el sabio, y derribó la fuerza en que ella confiaba.
23El que guarda su boca y su lengua, su alma guarda de angustias.
24Soberbio y presuntuoso escarnecedor es el nombre del que obra con orgullosa saña.
25El deseo del perezoso le mata, porque sus manos no quieren trabajar.
26Hay quien todo el día codicia: mas el justo da, y no desperdicia.
27El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación: ¡cuánto más ofreciéndolo con maldad!
28El testigo mentiroso perecerá: mas el hombre que oye, permanecerá en su dicho.
29El hombre impío afirma su rostro: mas el recto ordena sus caminos.
30No hay sabiduría, ni inteligencia, ni consejo, contra Jehová.
31El caballo se apareja para el día de la batalla: mas de Jehová es el salvar.

1The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
3To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
5The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
6The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
7The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
8The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
9It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
10The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
11When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
12The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
13Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
14A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
15It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
16The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
17He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
18The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
19It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
20There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
22A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
24Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
25The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
26He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
27The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
28A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
29A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
30There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

1The king’s heart is in the LORD’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts.
3To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4A high look and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6Getting treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7The violence of the wicked will drive them away, because they refuse to do what is right.
8The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom. When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, and brings the wicked to ruin.
13Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
14A gift in secret pacifies anger, and a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.
15It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16The man who wanders out of the way of understanding shall rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.

27The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination— how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!
28A false witness will perish. A man who listens speaks to eternity.
29A wicked man hardens his face; but as for the upright, he establishes his ways.
30There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with the LORD.
