2Wer in Geradheit wandelt, fürchtet den Herrn; / wer verkehrte Wege geht, verachtet ihn. /
3Im Munde des Toren ist eine Rute für seinen Rücken, / den Weisen aber behüten seine Lippen. /
4Wo keine Rinder sind, da gibt es kein Korn; / aber reicher Ertrag kommt durch des Stieres Kraft. /
5Ein wahrhaftiger Zeuge lügt nicht; / aber ein falscher Zeuge bringt Lügen vor. / (a) Spr 12:17; 2Mo 23:1
6Der Spötter sucht Weisheit und findet sie nicht; / dem Einsichtigen aber ist Erkenntnis ein leichtes. /
7Von dem Toren hält sich jedermann fern, / aber ein Gefäss der Erkenntnis sind verständige Lippen. /
8Das ist die Weisheit des Klugen, dass er seinen Weg verstehe; / aber die Torheit der Narren führt irre. /
9Die Toren spotten der Schuld; / zwischen Redlichen herrscht gutes Einvernehmen. /
10Das Herz allein kennt seinen Kummer, / und seine Freude kann kein Fremder teilen. /
11Das Haus der Gottlosen wird vernichtet; / das Zelt des Redlichen aber blüht auf. /
12Manch ein Weg dünkt den Menschen der rechte, / zuletzt aber ist es ein Weg des Todes. / (a) Spr 16:25
13Auch beim Lachen kann das Herz voll Gram sein, / und die Freude kann enden in Leid. /
14Von seinem Wandel bekommt genug, wer abtrünnigen Herzens ist, / der gute Mensch aber geniesst die Frucht seiner Taten. / (a) Spr 1:31
15Der Einfältige glaubt jedem Wort, / aber der Kluge achtet auf seine Schritte. /
16Der Weise fürchtet Gott und meidet das Böse, / der Tor aber lässt sich sorglos darauf ein. /
17Der Zornmütige begeht Torheit, / der besonnene Mann bleibt ruhig. /
18Die Einfältigen vererben Torheit, / aber die Klugen hinterlassen Erkenntnis. /
19Die Bösen müssen vor den Guten sich bücken / und die Gottlosen an den Türen des Frommen stehen. /
20Der Arme ist auch seinem Nächsten verhasst, / der Reiche aber hat viele Freunde. / (a) Spr 19:4 7
21Wer seinen Nächsten verachtet, der sündigt, / aber wohl dem, der sich der Elenden erbarmt! / (a) Ps 41:2; 112:9
22Gehen nicht irre, die auf Böses sinnen? / Die aber auf Gutes sinnen, erfahren Huld und Treue. /
23Bei aller sauren Arbeit stellt sich Gewinn ein; / aber leeres Geschwätz bringt nur Verlust. /
24Die Krone der Weisen ist Klugheit, / der Kranz der Narren ist Torheit. /
25Ein wahrhaftiger Zeuge errettet Leben; / wer aber Lügen vorbringt, ist ein Verräter. /
26In der Furcht des Herrn liegt ein starker Verlass; / noch den Kindern ist er eine Zuflucht. /
27Die Furcht des Herrn ist eine Quelle des Lebens, / sodass man den Schlingen des Todes entgeht. / (a) Spr 13:14
28Auf der Menge des Volkes beruht des Königs Hoheit; / doch fehlt es an Leuten, so ist es des Fürsten Sturz. /
29Der Langmütige ist reich an Einsicht, / aber der Jähzornige treibt die Torheit auf die Spitze. / (a) Spr 19:11
30Ein gelassenes Herz ist Leben für den Leib; / Leidenschaft aber ist Wurmfrass in den Gebeinen. /
31Wer den Geringen bedrückt, der schmäht dessen Schöpfer; / doch ehrt ihn, wer sich des Armen erbarmt. / (a) Spr 17:5
32Der Gottlose wird durch seine Bosheit gestürzt; / des Frommen Zuflucht ist seine Redlichkeit. /
33Im Herzen des Einsichtigen ruht die Weisheit, / aber im Innern der Toren ist sie nicht zu finden. /
34Die Gerechtigkeit erhöht ein Volk, / aber die Sünde ist der Völker Schmach. /
35Ein kluger Diener hat des Königs Gunst; / sein Zorn aber trifft den, der schändlich handelt. /

1LA mujer sabia edifica su casa: mas la necia con sus manos la derriba.
2El que camina en su rectitud teme á Jehová: mas el pervertido en sus caminos lo menosprecia.
3En la boca del necio está la vara de la soberbia: mas los labios de los sabios los guardarán.
4Sin bueyes el granero está limpio: mas por la fuerza del buey hay abundancia de pan.
5El testigo verdadero no mentirá: mas el testigo falso hablará mentiras.
6Busca el escarnecedor la sabiduría, y no la halla: mas la sabiduría al hombre entendido es fácil.
7Vete de delante del hombre necio, porque en él no advertirás labios de ciencia.
8La ciencia del cuerdo es entender su camino: mas la indiscreción de los necios es engaño.
9Los necios se mofan del pecado: mas entre los rectos hay favor.
10El corazón conoce la amargura de su alma; y extraño no se entrometerá en su alegría.
11La casa de los impíos será asolada: mas florecerá la tienda de los rectos.
12Hay camino que al hombre parece derecho; empero su fin son caminos de muerte.
13Aun en la risa tendrá dolor el corazón; y el término de la alegría es congoja.
14De sus caminos será harto el apartado de razón: y el hombre de bien estará contento del suyo.
15El simple cree á toda palabra: mas el avisado entiende sus pasos.
16El sabio teme, y se aparta del mal: mas el necio se arrebata, y confía.
17El que presto se enoja, hará locura: y el hombre malicioso será aborrecido.
18Los simples heredarán necedad: mas los cuerdos se coronarán de sabiduría.
19Los malos se inclinarán delante de los buenos, y los impíos á las puertas del justo.
20El pobre es odioso aun á su amigo: pero muchos son los que aman al rico.
21Peca el que menosprecia á su prójimo: mas el que tiene misericordia de los pobres, es bienaventurado.
22¿No yerran los que piensan mal? Misericordia empero y verdad alcanzarán los que piensan bien.
23En toda labor hay fruto: mas la palabra de los labios solamente empobrece.
24Las riquezas de los sabios son su corona: mas es infatuación la insensatez de los necios.
25El testigo verdadero libra las almas: mas el engañoso hablará mentiras.
26En el temor de Jehová está la fuerte confianza; y esperanza tendrán sus hijos.
27El temor de Jehová es manantial de vida, para apartarse de los lazos de la muerte.
28En la multitud de pueblo está la gloria del rey: y en la falta de pueblo la flaqueza del príncipe.
29El que tarde se aira, es grande de entendimiento: mas el corto de espíritu engrandece el desatino.
30El corazón apacible es vida de las carnes: mas la envidia, pudrimiento de huesos.
31El que oprime al pobre, afrenta á su Hacedor: mas el que tiene misericordia del pobre, lo honra.
32Por su maldad será lanzado el impío: mas el justo en su muerte tiene esperanza.
33En el corazón del cuerdo reposa la sabiduría; y es conocida en medio de los necios.
34La justicia engrandece la nación: mas el pecado es afrenta de las naciones.
35La benevolencia del rey es para con el ministro entendido: mas su enojo contra el que lo avergüenza.

1Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
9Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
10The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
15The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
18The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
22Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
23In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
24The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
25A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
26In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
28In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
29He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
32The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
33Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
34Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
35The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.

7Stay away from a foolish man, for you won’t find knowledge on his lips.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.
9Fools mock at making atonement for sins, but among the upright there is good will.
10The heart knows its own bitterness and joy; he will not share these with a stranger.
11The house of the wicked will be overthrown, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
12There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
13Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful, and mirth may end in heaviness.
14The unfaithful will be repaid for his own ways; likewise a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
15A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways.
16A wise man fears and shuns evil, but the fool is hot headed and reckless.
17He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.
18The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19The evil bow down before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20The poor person is shunned even by his own neighbor, but the rich person has many friends.
21He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has pity on the poor is blessed.
22Don’t they go astray who plot evil? But love and faithfulness belong to those who plan good.

33Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding, and is even made known in the inward part of fools.

35The king’s favor is toward a servant who deals wisely, but his wrath is toward one who causes shame.
