Proverbios 11
Nova Bíblia Viva
1O Senhor repudia as balanças desonestas, mas os pesos justos lhe dão prazer.
2Quando chega o orgulho, vem a desgraça, mas com os humildes está a sabedoria.
3O homem justo é guiado pela sua honestidade, mas a falsidade do perverso leva à destruição.
4Quando chegar o Dia do Juízo, as riquezas não salvarão ninguém! Só a justiça livra da morte.
5A honestidade do justo corrige os seus passos, mas o perverso é derrubado pela sua própria maldade.
6Os justos são libertados pela sua justiça, mas a maldade dos perversos será uma armadilha onde eles cairão.
7A morte acaba com as esperanças do perverso; tudo o que ele esperava dá em nada.
8O homem justo é salvo do sofrimento e este recai sobre os perversos.
9O homem mau usa suas palavras para destruir o próximo, mas o justo se livra pelo seu conhecimento.
10A cidade inteira comemora o sucesso do justo, e há canções de alegria quando morre um homem perverso.
11A bênção do justo faz a cidade progredir, mas a influência dos maus a destrói.
12Quem discute com o vizinho mostra que não tem juízo; a pessoa sábia prefere ficar calada.
13Quem gosta de falar mal da vida alheia vive espalhando boatos, mas a pessoa de bom senso guarda segredos.
14Uma nação onde faltam homens sábios cai, mas se há conselheiros prudentes o povo vive em segurança.
15Quem se oferece para garantir o crédito de outra pessoa acabará pagando caro por isso. Se você se negar a fazê-lo, estará seguro.
16A mulher bondosa e sincera ganha honra para si da mesma forma que os homens ricos usam sua riqueza para conseguir mais riquezas.
17Quando você faz o bem a outra pessoa, faz o bem a si mesmo; quando você faz o mal a alguém, está ferindo a si mesmo.
18O perverso ganha riquezas que duram apenas um momento, mas quem vive praticando a justiça terá uma recompensa segura.
19Duas coisas são absolutamente certas: quem pratica a justiça anda pelo caminho da vida e quem pratica a maldade caminha direto para a morte.
20O Senhor detesta o perverso de coração, mas se alegra com as pessoas sinceras e obedientes.
21Esteja certo de que os perversos não escaparão sem castigo, mas os justos serão poupados.
22Uma mulher bonita que não se porta decentemente é como uma joia de ouro enfeitando o focinho de um porco.
23O bem que os justos planejam traz felicidade. A esperança do perverso, no entanto, acaba se transformando em ira.
24Quem reparte generosamente seus bens vê suas riquezas aumentarem; quem procura segurar mais dinheiro do que necessita acabará na pobreza.
25A pessoa generosa terá sempre mais e mais; ela receberá de volta todo o bem que fez aos outros.
26O povo amaldiçoa o comerciante que esconde a mercadoria; mas abençoa quem vende o alimento na hora da necessidade.
27Se você procura fazer o bem será respeitado, mas quem procura maneiras de fazer o mal receberá o mal como recompensa.
28Quem confia em suas riquezas cairá, mas os justos florescerão como a folhagem verdejante.
29Quem se revolta contra seus pais e perturba sua família ficará sem qualquer herança. O tolo acabará sendo servo do sábio.
30O homem justo é como a árvore da vida, e aquele que é sábio conquista almas.
31Se os justos são castigados durante esta vida por causa de seus pecados, o que acontecerá ao perverso e ao pecador?

1EL peso falso abominación es á Jehová: mas la pesa cabal le agrada.
2Cuando viene la soberbia, viene también la deshonra: mas con los humildes es la sabiduría.
3La integridad de los rectos los encaminará: mas destruirá á los pecadores la perversidad de ellos.
4No aprovecharán las riquezas en el día de la ira: mas la justicia librará de muerte.
5La justicia del perfecto enderezará su camino: mas el impío por su impiedad caerá.
6La justicia de los rectos los librará: mas los pecadores en su pecado serán presos.
7Cuando muere el hombre impío, perece su esperanza; y la espectativa de los malos perecerá.
8El justo es librado de la tribulación: mas el impío viene en lugar suyo.
9El hipócrita con la boca daña á su prójimo: mas los justos son librados con la sabiduría.
10En el bien de los justos la ciudad se alegra: mas cuando los impíos perecen, hay fiestas.
11Por la bendición de los rectos la ciudad será engrandecida: mas por la boca de los impíos ella será trastornada.
12El que carece de entendimiento, menosprecia á su prójimo: mas el hombre prudente calla.
13El que anda en chismes, descubre el secreto: mas el de espíritu fiel encubre la cosa.
14Cuando faltaren las industrias, caerá el pueblo: mas en la multitud de consejeros hay salud.
15Con ansiedad será afligido el que fiare al extraño: mas el que aborreciere las fianzas vivirá confiado.
16La mujer graciosa tendrá honra: y los fuertes tendrán riquezas.
17A su alma hace bien el hombre misericordioso: mas el cruel atormenta su carne.
18El impío hace obra falsa: mas el que sembrare justicia, tendrá galardón firme.
19Como la justicia es para vida, así el que sigue el mal es para su muerte.
20Abominación son á Jehová los perversos de corazón: mas los perfectos de camino le son agradables.
21Aunque llegue la mano á la mano, el malo no quedará sin castigo: mas la simiente de los justos escapará.
22Zarcillo de oro en la nariz del puerco, es la mujer hermosa y apartada de razón.
23El deseo de los justos es solamente bien: mas la esperanza de los impíos es enojo.
24Hay quienes reparten, y les es añadido más: y hay quienes son escasos más de lo que es justo, mas vienen á pobreza.
25El alma liberal será engordada: y el que saciare, él también será saciado.
26Al que retiene el grano, el pueblo lo maldecirá: mas bendición será sobre la cabeza del que vende.
27El que madruga al bien, buscará favor: mas el que busca el mal, vendrále.
28El que confía en sus riquezas, caerá: mas los justos reverdecerán como ramos.
29El que turba su casa heredará viento; y el necio será siervo del sabio de corazón.
30El fruto del justo es árbol de vida: y el que prende almas, es sabio.
31Ciertamente el justo será pagado en la tierra: ¡cuánto más el impío y el pecador!

1A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
2When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
16A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
17The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
20They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
31Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

7When a wicked man dies, hope perishes, and expectation of power comes to nothing.
8A righteous person is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked takes his place.
9With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.
10When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.

15He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.
16A gracious woman obtains honor, but violent men obtain riches.

18Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
19He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.
20Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
21Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.
22Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
