La gracia sea con ustedes y paz de Dios nuestro Padre y el Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Le doy gracias a mi Dios en cada recuerdo de ustedes.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

I thank my God whenever I remember you,

Siempre en todas mis oraciones por todos ustedes, es con gozo que hago mi oración.

Siempre en todas mis oraciones haciendo oración por todos vosotros con gozo,

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

always in every request of mine on behalf of you all, making my requests with joy,

Yo doy gracias por el compañerismo de ustedes en el evangelio desde el primer día hasta ahora.

Por vuestra comunión en el evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora:

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

for your partnership in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;

Estoy confiado de esta misma cosa, que Aquel que comenzó un buen trabajo en ustedes continuará hasta completarlo hasta el día de Jesucristo.

Estando confiado de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Es bueno que yo me sienta de esta manera acerca de todos ustedes porque los tengo en mi corazón. Todos ustedes han sido mis compañeros en la gracia tanto en mi encarcelamiento y en mi defensa y confirmación del evangelio.

Como me es justo sentir esto de todos vosotros, por cuanto os tengo en el corazón; y en mis prisiones, y en la defensa y confirmación del evangelio, sois todos vosotros compañeros de mi gracia.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

Porque Dios es mi testigo, de cuánto los añoro a todos ustedes con la compasión de Cristo Jesús.

Porque Dios me es testigo de cómo os amo á todos vosotros en las entrañas de Jesucristo.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

Yo estoy orando así: que el amor de ustedes abunde más y más en conocimiento y en todo entendimiento.

Y esto ruego, que vuestro amor abunde aun más y más en ciencia y en todo conocimiento,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

Yo oro por esto para que ustedes puedan aprobar lo que es excelente, y así puedan ser sinceros y sin ofensa en el día de Cristo.

Para que discernáis lo mejor; que seáis sinceros y sin ofensa para el día de Cristo;

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,

Yo oro para que ustedes también sean llenos con el fruto de la justicia que viene por medio de Jesucristo, para la gloria y alabanza de Dios.

Llenos de frutos de justicia, que son por Jesucristo, á gloria y loor de Dios.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Ahora yo quiero que ustedes sepan, hermanos, que lo que me ha pasado realmente ha servido para adelantar el evangelio.

Y quiero, hermanos, que sepáis que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado más en provecho del evangelio;

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News,

Como resultado, mis cadenas en Cristo salieron a la luz ante toda la guardia del palacio y ante todos los demás.

De manera que mis prisiones han sido célebres en Cristo en todo el pretorio, y á todos los demás;

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ,

Casi todos los hermanos tienen mucha más confianza en el Señor por causa de mis cadenas, y tienen valor para hablar sin miedo la palabra.

Y muchos de los hermanos en el Señor, tomando ánimo con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más á hablar la palabra sin temor.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

Algunos a la verdad hasta proclaman a Cristo por envidia y contienda, y también otros de buena voluntad.

Y algunos, á la verdad, predican á Cristo por envidia y porfía; mas algunos también por buena voluntad.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

Los últimos lo hacen por amor, sabiendo que yo estoy puesto aquí por la defensa del evangelio.

Los unos anuncian á Cristo por contención, no sinceramente, pensando añadir aflicción á mis prisiones;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

Pero los primeros proclaman a Cristo por ambiciones egoístas y no sinceramente. Ellos piensan que me pueden afligir mientras me encuentro en cadenas.

Pero los otros por amor, sabiendo que soy puesto por la defensa del evangelio.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.

¿Entonces qué? Solo que de todos modos, si con pretensiones o en verdad, Cristo es proclamado, y en esto yo me regocijo. Sí, yo me regocijaré,

¿Qué pues? Que no obstante, en todas maneras, ó por pretexto ó por verdad, es anunciado Cristo; y en esto me huelgo, y aun me holgaré.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

pues yo sé que esto resultará en mi liberación mediante las oraciones de ustedes y la ayuda del Espíritu de Jesucristo.

Porque sé que esto se me tornará á salud, por vuestra oración, y por la suministración del Espíritu de Jesucristo;

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Es de acuerdo a mi ansiosa expectativa y esperanza certera que yo no seré de ninguna manera avergonzado, y aún más, con toda audacia, ahora como siempre, Cristo será exaltado en mi cuerpo, sea para vida o para muerte.

Conforme á mi mira y esperanza, que en nada seré confundido; antes bien con toda confianza, como siempre, ahora también será engrandecido Cristo en mi cuerpo, ó por vida, ó por muerte.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

Pues para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.

Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Pero si yo he de vivir en la carne, eso significa trabajo fructífero para mí. Entonces, ¿cuál escojo? Yo no sé.

Mas si el vivir en la carne, esto me será para fruto de la obra, no sé entonces qué escoger;

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.

Pues estoy muy presionado entre ambas alternativas. Mi deseo es partir y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor.

Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de ser desatado, y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor:

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

Sin embargo, permanecer en la carne es más necesario por el bien de ustedes.

Empero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

Estando convencido de esto, yo sé que permaneceré y continuaré con todos ustedes, para su progreso y gozo en la fe.

Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aun permaneceré con todos vosotros, para provecho vuestro y gozo de la fe;

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

Para que en mí ustedes puedan tener mayores razones para jactarse en Cristo Jesús cuando yo vuelva a ustedes otra vez.

Para que crezca vuestra gloria de mí en Cristo Jesús por mi venida otra vez á vosotros.

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Sólo condúzcanse de manera digna del evangelio de Cristo, para que si yo voy a verlos o estoy ausente, yo pueda escuchar acerca de ustedes, que permanecen firmes en un espíritu, con una mente, esforzándose juntos por la fe del evangelio.

Solamente que converséis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo; para que, ó sea que vaya á veros, ó que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, unánimes combatiendo juntamente por la fe del evangelio,

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

No estén asustados de ninguna manera de aquellos que son sus oponentes. Esto es una señal para ellos de su destrucción, pero, de la salvación de ustedes, y esto proviene de Dios.

Y en nada intimidados de los que se oponen: que á ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas á vosotros de salud; y esto de Dios;

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Porque esto se les ha sido concedido a ustedes, por amor a Cristo, no sólo creer en Él, sino también sufrir por amor a Él,

Porque á vosotros es concedido por Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él,

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

teniendo el mismo conflicto que vieron en mí, y ahora oyen de mí.

Teniendo el mismo conflicto que habéis visto en mí, y ahora oís estar en mí.

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.
