Paolo, e Timoteo servi di Gesù Cristo a tutti i santi in Cristo Gesù, che sono a Filippi, insieme co' vescovi, e diaconi.

PABLO y Timoteo, siervos de Jesucristo, á todos los santos en Cristo Jesús que están en Filipos, con los obispos y diáconos:

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Grazia a voi, e pace da Dio padre nostro, e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.

Gracia sea á vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rendo grazie al mio Dio ogni volta ché mi ricordo di voi,

Doy gracias á mi Dios en toda memoria de vosotros,

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

I thank my God whenever I remember you,

(Porgendo sempre suppliche per tutti voi in ogni mia orazione con gaudio)

Siempre en todas mis oraciones haciendo oración por todos vosotros con gozo,

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

always in every request of mine on behalf of you all, making my requests with joy,

A motivo della partecipazione vostra al vangelo di Cristo dal primo dì fino ad ora:

Por vuestra comunión en el evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora:

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

for your partnership in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;

Avendo pur questa speranza, che colui, il quale ha principiato in voi la buona opera, la perfezionerà fino al giorno di Cristo Gesù:

Estando confiado de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Conforme è giusto, ch'io pensi così di tutti voi, a motivo, che ho fisso in cuore, come voi e nelle mie catene, e nella difesa, e confermazione del vangelo siete tutti compagni del mio gaudio.

Como me es justo sentir esto de todos vosotros, por cuanto os tengo en el corazón; y en mis prisiones, y en la defensa y confirmación del evangelio, sois todos vosotros compañeros de mi gracia.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

Imperocché testimone è a me Dio, in qual modo io ami tutti voi nello viscere di Gesù Cristo.

Porque Dios me es testigo de cómo os amo á todos vosotros en las entrañas de Jesucristo.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

E questo io domando, che la carità vostra abbondi ancora più, e più in cognizione, e in ogni discernimento:

Y esto ruego, que vuestro amor abunde aun más y más en ciencia y en todo conocimiento,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

Affinchè eleggiate il meglio, affinchè siate schietti, e sicuri da inciampo fino al giorno di Cristo,

Para que discernáis lo mejor; que seáis sinceros y sin ofensa para el día de Cristo;

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,

Ricolmi di frutti di giustizia per Gesù Cristo a lode e gloria di Dio.

Llenos de frutos de justicia, que son por Jesucristo, á gloria y loor de Dios.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Or io voglio, che voi sappiate, o fratelli, come le cose avvenutemi si sono maggiormente rivolte in profitto del vangelo:

Y quiero, hermanos, que sepáis que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado más en provecho del evangelio;

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News,

Di modo, che le catene mie per Cristo sono diventate note a tutto il pretorio, e a tutti gli altri.

De manera que mis prisiones han sido célebres en Cristo en todo el pretorio, y á todos los demás;

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ,

E molti de' fratelli nel Signore preso coraggio dalle mie catene, hanno avuto maggior ardimento di annunziare senza timore la parola di Dio.

Y muchos de los hermanos en el Señor, tomando ánimo con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más á hablar la palabra sin temor.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

Alcuni veramente per invidia, e per picca, alcuni poi ancora con buona volontà predicano Cristo;

Y algunos, á la verdad, predican á Cristo por envidia y porfía; mas algunos también por buena voluntad.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

Alcuni per carità sapendo, com'io sono stato collocato alla difesa del vangelo;

Los unos anuncian á Cristo por contención, no sinceramente, pensando añadir aflicción á mis prisiones;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

Altri poi per picca annunziano Cristo, non sinceramente, credendo di aggiungere afflizione alle mie catene.

Pero los otros por amor, sabiendo que soy puesto por la defensa del evangelio.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.

Ma che? Purché in ogni modo, o per pretesto, o con lealtà Cristo sia predicato; di questo io pur godo, e ancora ne goderò.

¿Qué pues? Que no obstante, en todas maneras, ó por pretexto ó por verdad, es anunciado Cristo; y en esto me huelgo, y aun me holgaré.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

Imperocché io so, che questo gioverammi a salute per la vostra orazione, e pel soccorso dello Spirito di Gesù Cristo,

Porque sé que esto se me tornará á salud, por vuestra oración, y por la suministración del Espíritu de Jesucristo;

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Secondo la aspettazione, e speranza mia, che in niuna cosa sarò confuso: ma con tutta fidanza come sempre, così adesso sarà esaltato Cristo nel corpo mio sia per la morte, sia per la vita.

Conforme á mi mira y esperanza, que en nada seré confundido; antes bien con toda confianza, como siempre, ahora también será engrandecido Cristo en mi cuerpo, ó por vida, ó por muerte.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

Imperocché il mio vivere è Cristo, ed il morire un guadagno.

Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Se poi questo vivere nella carne compie a me pel lavoro, o io qual cosa mi elegga, non so.

Mas si el vivir en la carne, esto me será para fruto de la obra, no sé entonces qué escoger;

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.

E sono messo alle strette da due lati: bramando di essere disciolta, e di esser con Cristo, che è meglio d'assai:

Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de ser desatado, y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor:

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

Ma il restar nella carne (è) necessario riguardo a voi.

Empero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

E affidato su questo io so, che resterò, e farò mia dimora con tutti voi per vostro profitto, e per gaudio della fede:

Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aun permaneceré con todos vosotros, para provecho vuestro y gozo de la fe;

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

Onde più abbondanti siano le vostre congratulazioni riguardo a me in Cristo Gesù nel mio nuovo ritorno a voi.

Para que crezca vuestra gloria de mí en Cristo Jesús por mi venida otra vez á vosotros.

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Diportatevi soltanto, come esige il vangelo di Cristo: affinchè o venga io, e vi vegga, o lontano senta parlar di voi, siate costanti in un solo spirito, in una sola anima, cooperando per la fede del vangelo:

Solamente que converséis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo; para que, ó sea que vaya á veros, ó que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, unánimes combatiendo juntamente por la fe del evangelio,

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

Nè per cosa alcuna siate atterriti dagli avversari; quel, che è per essi causa di perdizione, lo è di salute per voi, e questo è da Dio:

Y en nada intimidados de los que se oponen: que á ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas á vosotros de salud; y esto de Dios;

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Imperocché per mezzo di Cristo a voi è stato dato il dono non solo di credere in lui, ma anche di patire per lui:

Porque á vosotros es concedido por Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él,

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

Sostenendo lo stesso conflitto, che vedeste in me, e ora avete udito di me. Con mirabile affetto gli esorta alla mutua dilezione, alla concordia, all'umiltà con l'esempio di Cristo, nel nome del quale piegasi ogni ginocchio; che operino nel santo timore la loro salute; si congratula e con essi, che vivano santamente tra i cattivi, e seco stesso dell’avere tali discepoli: loda Timoteo come predicatore sincero dell'evangelio, e similmente Epafrodito, il quale guarito dalla sua malattia rimanda ad essi.

Teniendo el mismo conflicto que habéis visto en mí, y ahora oís estar en mí.

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
