Graça e paz a vocês da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.

Gracia sea á vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dou graças ao meu Deus toda vez que me lembro de vocês,

Doy gracias á mi Dios en toda memoria de vosotros,

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

I thank my God whenever I remember you,

sempre, em todas as minhas orações em favor de todos vocês, fazendo meus pedidos com alegria,

Siempre en todas mis oraciones haciendo oración por todos vosotros con gozo,

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

always in every request of mine on behalf of you all, making my requests with joy,

por causa da sua parceria no avanço das Boas Novas desde o primeiro dia até agora;

Por vuestra comunión en el evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora:

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

for your partnership in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;

estando confiante exatamente disto: que aquele que começou a boa obra em vocês a completará até o dia de Jesus Cristo.

Estando confiado de esto, que el que comenzó en vosotros la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Jesucristo;

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

É justo que eu pense assim a respeito de todos vocês, porque os tenho em meu coração, pois tanto nas minhas prisões quanto na defesa e confirmação das Boas Novas, todos vocês são participantes comigo da graça.

Como me es justo sentir esto de todos vosotros, por cuanto os tengo en el corazón; y en mis prisiones, y en la defensa y confirmación del evangelio, sois todos vosotros compañeros de mi gracia.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

Pois Deus é minha testemunha de como tenho saudade de todos vocês, com a terna misericórdia de Cristo Jesus.

Porque Dios me es testigo de cómo os amo á todos vosotros en las entrañas de Jesucristo.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

E esta é a minha oração: que o amor de vocês transborde cada vez mais em conhecimento e em todo o discernimento,

Y esto ruego, que vuestro amor abunde aun más y más en ciencia y en todo conocimiento,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

para que vocês possam aprovar as coisas que são excelentes, a fim de que sejam sinceros e irrepreensíveis até o dia de Cristo,

Para que discernáis lo mejor; que seáis sinceros y sin ofensa para el día de Cristo;

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,

sendo cheios dos frutos de justiça, que vêm por meio de Jesus Cristo, para a glória e louvor de Deus.

Llenos de frutos de justicia, que son por Jesucristo, á gloria y loor de Dios.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Agora, quero que saibam, irmãos, que as coisas que me aconteceram contribuíram, na verdade, para o progresso das Boas Novas,

Y quiero, hermanos, que sepáis que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado más en provecho del evangelio;

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News,

de modo que se tornou evidente a toda a guarda do palácio, e a todos os demais, que as minhas prisões são em Cristo,

De manera que mis prisiones han sido célebres en Cristo en todo el pretorio, y á todos los demás;

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ,

e que a maioria dos irmãos no Senhor, ganhando confiança por causa das minhas prisões, ousam falar a palavra de Deus com muito mais coragem e sem temor.

Y muchos de los hermanos en el Señor, tomando ánimo con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más á hablar la palabra sin temor.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

É verdade que alguns pregam a Cristo por inveja e rivalidade, mas outros também o fazem de boa vontade.

Y algunos, á la verdad, predican á Cristo por envidia y porfía; mas algunos también por buena voluntad.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

Os primeiros pregam a Cristo por ambição egoísta, sem sinceridade, pensando em acrescentar aflição às minhas correntes;

Los unos anuncian á Cristo por contención, no sinceramente, pensando añadir aflicción á mis prisiones;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

mas os últimos o fazem por amor, sabendo que fui designado para a defesa das Boas Novas.

Pero los otros por amor, sabiendo que soy puesto por la defensa del evangelio.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.

Mas que importa? O importante é que de todas as formas, seja por falsos motivos ou por motivos verdadeiros, Cristo é proclamado. Nisso eu me alegro, sim, e continuarei a me alegrar.

¿Qué pues? Que no obstante, en todas maneras, ó por pretexto ó por verdad, es anunciado Cristo; y en esto me huelgo, y aun me holgaré.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

Pois sei que isso resultará em minha salvação, por meio das orações de vocês e do suprimento do Espírito de Jesus Cristo,

Porque sé que esto se me tornará á salud, por vuestra oración, y por la suministración del Espíritu de Jesucristo;

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

de acordo com a minha ardente expectativa e esperança, de que em nada serei envergonhado, mas que com toda a ousadia, como sempre, também agora Cristo será engrandecido em meu corpo, seja pela vida, seja pela morte.

Conforme á mi mira y esperanza, que en nada seré confundido; antes bien con toda confianza, como siempre, ahora también será engrandecido Cristo en mi cuerpo, ó por vida, ó por muerte.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

Porque para mim o viver é Cristo, e o morrer é lucro.

Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Mas, se eu continuar vivendo na carne, isso trará fruto do meu trabalho; contudo, não sei o que escolherei.

Mas si el vivir en la carne, esto me será para fruto de la obra, no sé entonces qué escoger;

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.

Pois estou pressionado entre os dois, tendo o desejo de partir e estar com Cristo, o que é incomparavelmente melhor.

Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de ser desatado, y estar con Cristo, lo cual es mucho mejor:

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

No entanto, permanecer na carne é mais necessário por causa de vocês.

Empero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

Tendo esta confiança, sei que permanecerei, sim, e continuarei com todos vocês para o seu progresso e alegria na fé,

Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aun permaneceré con todos vosotros, para provecho vuestro y gozo de la fe;

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

para que o motivo de gloriar-se de vocês transborde em Cristo Jesus por minha causa, por meio da minha presença com vocês novamente.

Para que crezca vuestra gloria de mí en Cristo Jesús por mi venida otra vez á vosotros.

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Somente vivam de maneira digna das Boas Novas de Cristo, para que, quer eu vá e os veja, quer esteja ausente, eu ouça a respeito do estado de vocês, que estão firmes em um só espírito, lutando com uma só alma pela fé das Boas Novas;

Solamente que converséis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo; para que, ó sea que vaya á veros, ó que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, unánimes combatiendo juntamente por la fe del evangelio,

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

e em nada intimidados pelos adversários. Isso é para eles uma prova de destruição, mas para vocês, de salvação, e isso da parte de Deus.

Y en nada intimidados de los que se oponen: que á ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas á vosotros de salud; y esto de Dios;

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Porque lhes foi concedido em favor de Cristo, não apenas crer nele, mas também sofrer por ele,

Porque á vosotros es concedido por Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él,

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

tendo o mesmo conflito que vocês viram em mim e que agora ouvem que ainda está em mim.

Teniendo el mismo conflicto que habéis visto en mí, y ahora oís estar en mí.

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.
