Pois temos grande alegria e consolo no seu amor, porque os corações dos santos têm sido revigorados por você, irmão.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

Portanto, embora eu tenha toda a ousadia em Cristo para lhe ordenar o que é adequado,

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Apelo a você por meu filho Onésimo, de quem me tornei pai em minhas algemas,
Ruégote por mi hijo Onésimo, que he engendrado en mis prisiones,
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,
o qual antes era inútil para você, mas agora é útil tanto para você quanto para mim.
El cual en otro tiempo te fué inútil, mas ahora á ti y á mí es útil;
Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
Eu o estou enviando de volta. Portanto, receba-o, isto é, o meu próprio coração,
El cual te vuelvo á enviar; tú pues, recíbele como á mis entrañas.
Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

Yo quisiera detenerle conmigo, para que en lugar de ti me sirviese en las prisiones del evangelio;
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.
Mas eu não quis fazer nada sem o seu consentimento, para que a sua bondade não fosse como por necessidade, mas de livre vontade.
Mas nada quise hacer sin tu consejo, porque tu beneficio no fuese como de necesidad, sino voluntario.
But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
Pois talvez ele tenha sido separado de você por algum tempo para que você o tivesse para sempre,
Porque acaso por esto se ha apartado de ti por algún tiempo, para que le recibieses para siempre;
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever,
não mais como escravo, mas, muito mais do que escravo, como um irmão amado — especialmente para mim, mas quanto mais para você, tanto na carne quanto no Senhor.
No ya como siervo, antes más que siervo, como hermano amado, mayormente de mí, pero cuánto más de ti, en la carne y en el Señor.
Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
Portanto, se você me considera um parceiro, receba-o como receberia a mim.
Así que, si me tienes por compañero, recíbele como á mí.
If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
Mas, se ele o prejudicou em alguma coisa ou lhe deve algo, ponha isso na minha conta.
Y si en algo te dañó, ó te debe, ponlo á mi cuenta.
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.
Eu, Paulo, escrevo isso de meu próprio punho: eu pagarei (para não lhe dizer que você me deve até a si mesmo).

I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

Além disso, prepare-me um quarto de hóspedes, pois espero que, por meio das orações de vocês, eu lhes seja restituído.

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
