1Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:
2»Nehmt unter den Leviten die Kopfzahl der Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien auf,
3von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie am Offenbarungszelt tätig sein können.
4Dies soll der Dienst der Kehathiten am Offenbarungszelt sein: (die Sorge für) das Hochheilige.
5Wenn nämlich das Lager aufbricht, sollen Aaron und seine Söhne hineingehen und den abschließenden Vorhang abnehmen und die Gesetzeslade mit ihm bedecken.
6Dann sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell darauflegen und ein ganz aus blauem Purpur bestehendes Tuch oben darüberbreiten und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
7Auch über den Schaubrottisch sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und die Schüsseln, Schalen und Becher sowie die Kannen für das Trankopfer daraufstellen; auch das regelmäßig aufzulegende Brot soll sich auf ihm befinden.
8Dann sollen sie über das alles ein Tuch von Karmesin breiten, dieses mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und dann die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
9Hierauf sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur nehmen und den lichtspendenden Leuchter damit überdecken samt den zugehörigen Lampen, Lichtputzscheren, Näpfen und allen Ölgefäßen, mit denen man ihn zu bedienen pflegt;
10dann sollen sie ihn nebst allen seinen Geräten in eine Decke von Seekuhfell tun und auf die Tragbahre legen.
11Auch über den goldenen Altar sollen sie ein Tuch von blauem Purpur breiten und ihn mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
12Weiter sollen sie alle für den Dienst erforderlichen Geräte, mit denen man den Dienst im Heiligtum zu verrichten pflegt, nehmen, sie in ein Tuch von blauem Purpur tun, sie dann mit einer Decke von Seekuhfell überdecken und auf die Tragbahre legen.
13Hierauf sollen sie den (Brandopfer-) Altar von der Fettasche reinigen und ein Tuch von rotem Purpur über ihn breiten;
14auf dieses sollen sie dann alle zugehörigen Geräte legen, mit denen man den Dienst auf ihm zu verrichten pflegt: die Kohlenpfannen, Gabeln, Schaufeln, Becken, überhaupt alle zum Altar gehörigen Geräte; darüber sollen sie eine Decke von Seekuhfell breiten und die zugehörigen Tragstangen anlegen.
15Wenn dann Aaron und seine Söhne beim Aufbruch des Lagers mit der Einhüllung des Heiligen und aller heiligen Geräte fertig sind, so sollen danach die Kehathiten kommen, um alles zu tragen; sie dürfen aber die heiligen Gegenstände nicht berühren, sonst würden sie sterben. Dies ist es, was die Kehathiten vom Offenbarungszelt zu tragen haben.
16Eleasar aber, dem Sohne des Priesters Aaron, ist das Öl für den Leuchter und das wohlriechende Räucherwerk sowie das regelmäßige Speisopfer und das Salböl anvertraut, ferner die Aufsicht über die ganze heilige Wohnung und über alles das, was sich an heiligen Gegenständen und an zugehörigen Geräten in ihr befindet.«
17Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:
18»Laßt den Stamm der Geschlechter der Kehathiten nicht aus der Mitte der Leviten der Vernichtung anheimfallen,
19sondern tut folgendes für sie, damit sie am Leben bleiben und nicht sterben müssen, wenn sie an die hochheiligen Gegenstände herantreten: Aaron und seine Söhne sollen hineingehen und jeden einzelnen von ihnen anstellen, um das zu verrichten und das zu tragen, was ihm obliegt;
20aber sie selbst sollen nicht hineingehen, um auch nur einen Augenblick die heiligen Gegenstände anzusehen; sonst müssen sie sterben.«
21Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:
22»Nimm nun auch die Kopfzahl der Gersoniten nach ihren Familien und nach ihren Geschlechtern auf;
23von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.
24Darin soll der Dienst der Geschlechter der Gersoniten bezüglich der ihnen obliegenden Verrichtungen und der zu tragenden Gegenstände bestehen:
25sie haben die Teppiche der heiligen Wohnung und das Offenbarungszelt zu tragen, auch seine Decke und die Decke von Seekuhfell, die oben darüber liegt, sowie den Vorhang am Eingang zum Offenbarungszelt,
26ferner die Umhänge des Vorhofes, und den Vorhang am Eingangstor des Vorhofes, der die heilige Wohnung und den Brandopferaltar rings umgibt, samt den zugehörigen Seilen und allen Geräten, die zu diesem Dienst nötig sind; überhaupt alles, was dabei zu tun ist, sollen sie besorgen.
27Nach der Anordnung Aarons und seiner Söhne soll der ganze Dienst der Söhne der Gersoniten vor sich gehen bei allem, was sie zu tragen, und bei allem, was sie zu verrichten haben; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen alles, was sie zu tragen haben, Stück für Stück überweisen.
28Dies ist der Dienst, den die Geschlechter der Söhne der Gersoniten am Offenbarungszelt zu verrichten haben; und die Aufsicht über ihre Verrichtungen soll Ithamar, dem Sohn des Priesters Aaron, obliegen.
29Auch die Merariten sollst du nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien mustern;
30von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren sollst du sie mustern, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich sind, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden können.
31Und dies ist es, was ihnen zu tragen obliegt und worin ihr ganzer Dienst am Offenbarungszelt besteht: die Bretter der heiligen Wohnung sowie ihre Riegel, Säulen und Füße,
32ferner die Säulen rings um den Vorhof samt ihren Füßen, ihren Pflöcken und Seilen, samt allen zugehörigen Geräten und nebst allem, was es dabei zu tun gibt; und zwar sollt ihr ihnen die Geräte, deren Fortschaffung ihnen obliegt, Stück für Stück zuweisen.
33Dies ist der Dienst der Geschlechter der Merariten, alles, was sie am Offenbarungszelt unter der Aufsicht Ithamars, des Sohnes des Priesters Aaron, zu verrichten haben.«
34So musterten denn Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Gemeinde die Söhne der Kehathiten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien,
35von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten.
36Und es belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 2750.
37So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Kehathiten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelte zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
38Was sodann diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Gersoniten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,
39von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,
40so belief sich die Zahl derer, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden, auf 2630.
41So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Gersoniten Gemusterten, alle, welche Dienste am Offenbarungszelt zu leisten hatten und welche Mose und Aaron nach dem Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
42Was ferner diejenigen betrifft, welche aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert wurden,
43von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, die zum Dienst tauglich waren, so daß sie Verwendung bei den Verrichtungen am Offenbarungszelt finden konnten,
44so beliefen sich die, welche aus ihnen nach ihren Geschlechtern gemustert wurden, auf 3200.
45So viele waren die aus den Geschlechtern der Merariten Gemusterten, welche Mose und Aaron nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN gemustert hatten.
46Was aber die Gesamtzahl der gemusterten Leviten betrifft, welche Mose und Aaron samt den Stammesfürsten der Israeliten nach ihren Geschlechtern und nach ihren Familien gemustert hatten,
47von dreißig Jahren an und darüber bis zu fünfzig Jahren, alle, welche tauglich waren, um bei den Dienstleistungen und bei der Verrichtung des Tragens Verwendung am Offenbarungszelt zu finden,
48so belief sich die Zahl der aus ihnen Gemusterten auf 8580.
49Nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN wies man dem einzelnen von ihnen das zu, was er zu verrichten und zu tragen hatte; und sie wurden so angestellt, wie es der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.

2Toma la cuenta de los hijos de Coath de entre los hijos de Leví, por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres,
3De edad de treinta años arriba hasta cincuenta años, todos los que entran en compañía, para hacer servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
4Este será el oficio de los hijos de Coath en el tabernáculo del testimonio, en el lugar santísimo:
5Cuando se hubiere de mudar el campo, vendrán Aarón y sus hijos, y desarmarán el velo de la tienda, y cubrirán con él el arca del testimonio:
6Y pondrán sobre ella la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y extenderán encima el paño todo de cárdeno, y le pondrán sus varas.
7Y sobre la mesa de la proposición extenderán el paño cárdeno, y pondrán sobre ella las escudillas, y las cucharas, y las copas, y los tazones para libar: y el pan continuo estará sobre ella.
8Y extenderán sobre ella el paño de carmesí colorado, y lo cubrirán con la cubierta de pieles de tejones; y le pondrán sus varas.
9Y tomarán un paño cárdeno, y cubrirán el candelero de la luminaria; y sus candilejas, y sus despabiladeras, y sus platillos, y todos sus vasos del aceite con que se sirve;
10Y lo pondrán con todos sus vasos en una cubierta de pieles de tejones, y lo colocarán sobre unas parihuelas.
11Y sobre el altar de oro extenderán el paño cárdeno, y le cubrirán con la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y le pondrán sus varales.
12Y tomarán todos los vasos del servicio, de que hacen uso en el santuario, y los pondrán en un paño cárdeno, y los cubrirán con una cubierta de pieles de tejones, y los colocarán sobre unas parihuelas.
13Y quitarán la ceniza del altar, y extenderán sobre él un paño de púrpura:
14Y pondrán sobre él todos sus instrumentos de que se sirve: las paletas, los garfios, los braseros, y los tazones, todos los vasos del altar; y extenderán sobre él la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y le pondrán además las varas.
15Y en acabando Aarón y sus hijos de cubrir el santuario y todos los vasos del santuario, cuando el campo se hubiere de mudar, vendrán después de ello los hijos de Coath para conducir: mas no tocarán cosa santa, que morirán. Estas serán las cargas de los hijos de Coath en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
16Empero al cargo de Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, estará el aceite de la luminaria, y el perfume aromático, y el presente continuo, y el aceite de la unción; el cargo de todo el tabernáculo, y de todo lo que está en él, en el santuario, y en sus vasos.
17Y habló Jehová á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
18No cortaréis la tribu de las familias de Coath de entre los Levitas;
19Mas esto haréis con ellos, para que vivan, y no mueran cuando llegaren al lugar santísimo: Aarón y sus hijos vendrán y los pondrán á cada uno en su oficio, y en su cargo.
20No entrarán para ver, cuando cubrieren las cosas santas; que morirán.
21Y habló Jehová á Moisés diciendo:
22Toma también la cuenta de los hijos de Gersón por las casas de sus padres, por sus familias.
23De edad de treinta años arriba hasta cincuenta años los contarás; todos los que entran en compañía, para hacer servicio en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
24Este será el oficio de las familias de Gersón, para ministrar y para llevar:
25Llevarán las cortinas del tabernáculo, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, su cubierta, y la cubierta de pieles de tejones que está sobre él encima, y el pabellón de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio,
26Y las cortinas del atrio, y el pabellón de la puerta del atrio, que está cerca del tabernáculo y cerca del altar alrededor, y sus cuerdas, y todos los instrumentos de su servicio, y todo lo que será hecho para ellos: así servirán.
27Según la orden de Aarón y de sus hijos será todo el ministerio de los hijos de Gersón en todos sus cargos, y en todo su servicio: y les encomendaréis en guarda todos sus cargos.
28Este es el servicio de las familias de los hijos de Gersón en el tabernáculo del testimonio: y el cargo de ellos estará bajo la mano de Ithamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.
29Contarás los hijos de Merari por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres.

1And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
3From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
4This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:
5And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
6And shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
7And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
8And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
9And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
10And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
12And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put them on a bar:
13And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:

15And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
16And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
17And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
19But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
21And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
22Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
23From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
24This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:
25And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
26And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.
27At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
28This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;
30From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
31And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,
32And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.
33This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
35From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:
36And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
38And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,
39From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
40Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD.
42And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,
43From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
44Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred.
45These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
46All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
47From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,
48Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.
49According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.

1The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2“Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
3from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter into the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
4“This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, regarding the most holy things.
5When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in with his sons; and they shall take down the veil of the screen, cover the ark of the Testimony with it,
6put a covering of sealskin on it, spread a blue cloth over it, and put in its poles.
7“On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it.
8They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
9“They shall take a blue cloth and cover the lamp stand of the light, its lamps, its snuffers, its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it.
10They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame.
11“On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
12“They shall take all the vessels of ministry with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.
13“They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it.
14They shall put on it all its vessels with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the meat hooks, the shovels, and the basins—all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.
15“When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. The sons of Kohath shall carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.
16“The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings.”
17The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18“Don’t cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
19but do this to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint everyone to his service and to his burden;
20but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”
21The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
22“Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;
23you shall count them from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old: all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
24“This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:
25they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, the covering of sealskin that is on it, the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
26the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the gate of the court which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. They shall serve in there.
27At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities.
28This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29“As for the sons of Merari, you shall count them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;
30you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.
31This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
32the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. You shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden to them by name.
33This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”
34Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation counted the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
35from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting.
36Those who were counted of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
38Those who were counted of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
39from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,
40even those who were counted of them, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, were two thousand six hundred thirty.
41These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of the LORD.
42Those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
43from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,
44even those who were counted of them by their families, were three thousand two hundred.
45These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
46All those who were counted of the Levites whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel counted, by their families and by their fathers’ houses,
47from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting,
48even those who were counted of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49According to the commandment of the LORD they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. Thus they were counted by him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
