Números 32

Los descendientes de Rubén y de Gad tenían grandes cantidades de ganado. Cuando ellos vieron la tierra de Jazer y Galaad, la tierra era un maravilloso lugar para el ganado.

Y LOS hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad tenían una muy grande muchedumbre de ganado; los cuales viendo la tierra de Jazer y de Galaad, parecióles el país lugar de ganado.

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock. They saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. Behold, the place was a place for livestock.

Así que los descendientes de Gad y Rubén vinieron y hablaron a Moisés, a Eleazar el sacerdote, y a los jefes de la comunidad. Dijeron:

Y vinieron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, y hablaron á Moisés, y á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á los príncipes de la congregación, diciendo:

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

"Esta es una lista de los lugares que hemos visto: Atarot, Dibón, Jazer, Nimra, Hesbón, Eleale, Sebam, Nebo y Beón.

Ataroth, y Dibón, y Jazer, y Nimra, y Hesbón, y Eleale, y Sabán, y Nebo, y Beón,

Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,

“Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,

Estas son las tierras que EL SEÑOR atacó ante la comunidad de Israel, y son buenos lugares para el ganado. Nosotros, tus sirvientes, tenemos mucho ganado."

La tierra que Jehová hirió delante de la congregación de Israel, es tierra de ganado, y tus siervos tienen ganado.

Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

the land which the LORD struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock; and your servants have livestock.”

Dijeron: "Si nosotros hemos hallado favor ante tu vista, deja que esta tierra sea dada a nosotros, tus sirvientes, como una posesión. No nos hagas cruzar el Jordán."

Por tanto, dijeron, si hallamos gracia en tus ojos, dése esta tierra á tus siervos en heredad, y no nos hagas pasar el Jordán.

Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

They said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Don’t bring us over the Jordan.”

Moisés le respondió a los descendientes de Gad y Rubén: "¿Deberían sus hermanos ir a la guerra mientras ustedes se establecen aquí abajo?

Y respondió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén: ¿Vendrán vuestros hermanos á la guerra, y vosotros os quedaréis aquí?

And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

Moses said to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?

¿Por qué desalentar los corazones de la gente de Israel de ir a la tierra que EL SEÑOR les ha dado?

¿Y por qué prevenís el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no pasen á la tierra que les ha dado Jehová?

And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

Why do you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?

Sus padres hicieron la misma cosa cuando yo los envié de Cades Barnea a explorar la tierra.

Así hicieron vuestros padres, cuando los envié desde Cades-barnea para que viesen la tierra.

Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.

Your fathers did so when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to see the land.

Subieron al Valle de Escol. Vieron la tierra y entonces deslalentaron los corazones de la gente de Israel así que se rehusaron a entrar en la tierra que EL SEÑOR les había dado.

Que subieron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y después que vieron la tierra, preocuparon el ánimo de los hijos de Israel, para que no viniesen á la tierra que Jehová les había dado.

For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

El enojo del SEÑOR se encendió en aquel día. Él hizo un juramento y dijo:

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió entonces, y juró diciendo:

And the LORD’s anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,

The LORD’s anger burned in that day, and he swore, saying,

'Ciertamente, ninguno de los hombres que salieron de Egipto, de veinte años de edad en adelante, verán la tierra sobre la que Yo le juré a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, porque no me han seguido a Mí completamente, excepto por

Que no verán los varones que subieron de Egipto de veinte años arriba, la tierra por la cual juré á Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, por cuanto no fueron perfectos en pos de mí;

Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,

Caleb, hijo de Jefone el cenezeo, y Josué, hijo de Nun. Solo Caleb y Josué me han seguido completamente.'

Excepto Caleb, hijo de Jephone Cenezeo, y Josué hijo de Nun, que fueron perfectos en pos de Jehová.

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have followed the LORD completely.’

Entonces el enojo del SEÑOR se encendió en contra de Israel. Él los hizo vagar cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que toda la generación que había hecho el mal ante Su vista fue destruída.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió en Israel, é hízolos andar errantes cuarenta años por el desierto, hasta que fué acabada toda aquella generación, que había hecho mal delante de Jehová.

And the LORD’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he made them wander back and forth in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation who had done evil in the LORD’s sight was consumed.

Miren, ustedes se han levantado en lugar de sus padres, como hombres más pecadores, para añadirle al ardiente enojo del SEÑOR hacia Israel.

Y he aquí vosotros habéis sucedido en lugar de vuestros padres, prole de hombres pecadores, para añadir aún á la ira de Jehová contra Israel.

And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

“Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

Si ustedes se alejan de seguirlo a Él, Él dejará a Israel en el desierto otra vez y ustedes habrán destruído a toda su pueblo."

Si os volviereis de en pos de él, él volverá otra vez á dejaros en el desierto, y destruiréis á todo este pueblo.

For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.

Entonces, se acercaron a Moisés y dijeron: "Permítenos construir unas cercas aquí para nuestro ganado y ciudades para nuestras familias.

Entonces ellos se llegaron á él y dijeron: Edificaremos aquí majadas para nuestro ganado, y ciudades para nuestros niños;

And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

They came near to him, and said, “We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones;

Sin embargo, nosotros estaremos listos y armados para ir con el ejército de Israel hasta que los hayamos llevado hasta su lugar. Pero nuestras familias vivirán en las ciudades fortificadas, por las otras personas que aún viven en esta tierra.

Y nosotros nos armaremos, é iremos con diligencia delante de los hijos de Israel, hasta que los metamos en su lugar: y nuestros niños quedarán en ciudades fuertes á causa de los moradores del país.

But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

Nosotros no regresaremos a nuestras casas hasta que cada una de las personas de Israel haya obtenido su herencia.

No volveremos á nuestras casas hasta que los hijos de Israel posean cada uno su heredad.

We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

We will not return to our houses until the children of Israel have all received their inheritance.

Nosotros no heredaremos la tierra con ellos al otro lado del Jordán, porque nuestra herencia está aquí en el lado este del Jordán."

Porque no tomaremos heredad con ellos al otro lado del Jordán ni adelante, por cuanto tendremos ya nuestra heredad de estotra parte del Jordán al oriente.

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”

Entonces, Moisés les respondió: "Si ustedes hacen lo que dicen, si ustedes se arman para ir ante EL SEÑOR a la guerra,

Entonces les respondió Moisés: Si lo hiciereis así, si os apercibiereis para ir delante de Jehová á la guerra,

And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,

Moses said to them: “If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before the LORD to the war,

entonces cada uno de sus hombres armados debe cruzar sobre el Jordán ante EL SEÑOR, hasta que Él haya expulsado a sus enemigos de delante de Él

Y pasareis todos vosotros armados el Jordán delante de Jehová, hasta que haya echado á sus enemigos de delante de sí,

And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,

and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before the LORD until he has driven out his enemies from before him,

y la tierra sea domada ante Él. Entonces, después, pueden regresar. Estarán sin culpa ante EL SEÑOR y ante Israel. Esta tierra será su posesión ante EL SEÑOR.

Y sea el país sojuzgado delante de Jehová; luego volveréis, y seréis libres de culpa para con Jehová, y para con Israel; y esta tierra será vuestra en heredad delante de Jehová.

And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

and the land is subdued before the LORD; then afterward you shall return, and be clear of obligation to the LORD and to Israel. Then this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

Pero si no lo hacen, habrán pecado en contra del SEÑOR. Estén seguros que su pecado los encontrará.

Mas si así no lo hiciereis, he aquí habréis pecado á Jehová; y sabed que os alcanzará vuestro pecado.

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.

Construyan ciudades para su familia y corrales para sus ovejas; entonces hagan lo que han dicho."

Edificaos ciudades para vuestros niños, y majadas para vuestras ovejas, y haced lo que ha salido de vuestra boca.

Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.

Los descendientes de Gad y Rubén le hablaron a Moisés y dijeron: "Tus siervientes harán como tú, nuestro amo, ordenas.

Y hablaron los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén á Moisés, diciendo: Tus siervos harán como mi señor ha mandado.

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my lord commands.

Nuestros pequeños, nuestras esposas, nuestros rebaños, y todo nuestro ganado se quedará allí en las ciudades de Galaad.

Nuestros niños, nuestras mujeres, nuestros ganados, y todas nuestras bestias, estarán ahí en las ciudades de Galaad;

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

Sin embargo, nosotros, tus sirvientes, cruzaremos delante del SEÑOR para la batalla, cada hombre que esté armado para la guerra, como tú, nuestro amo, dice."

Y tus siervos, armados todos de guerra, pasarán delante de Jehová á la guerra, de la manera que mi señor dice.

But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.

but your servants will pass over, every man who is armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord says.”

Así que Moisés dio instrucciones acerca de ellos a Eleazar el sacerdote, a Josué hijo de Nun, y a los jefes de las familias de los antepasados en las tribus del pueblo de Israel.

Entonces los encomendó Moisés á Eleazar el sacerdote, y á Josué hijo de Nun, y á los príncipes de los padres de las tribus de los hijos de Israel.

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

So Moses commanded concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers’ households of the tribes of the children of Israel.

Moisés les dijo: "Si los descendientes de Gad y Rubén cruzan el Jordán con ustedes, cada hombre que esté armado para la batalla delante del SEÑOR, y si la tierra es domada ante ustedes, entonces ustedes les darán la tierra de Galaad como una posesión.

Y díjoles Moisés: Si los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén, pasaren con vosotros el Jordán, armados todos de guerra delante de Jehová, luego que el país fuere sojuzgado delante de vosotros, les daréis la tierra de Galaad en posesión:

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

Moses said to them, “If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man who is armed to battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Pero si no cruzan con ustedes armados, entonces adquirirán sus posesiones entre ustedes en la tierra de Canaán."

Mas si no pasaren armados con vosotros, entonces tendrán posesión entre vosotros en la tierra de Canaán.

But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.”

Entonces los descendientes de Gad y Rubén respondieron y dijeron: "Como EL SEÑOR nos ha dicho a nosotros, tus sirvientes, esto es lo que nosotros haremos.

Y los hijos de Gad y los hijos de Rubén respondieron, diciendo: Haremos lo que Jehová ha dicho á tus siervos.

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, “As the LORD has said to your servants, so will we do.

Nosotros cruzaremos armados delante del SEÑOR hacia la tierra de Canaán, pero nuestra herencia poseída se quedará con nosotros en este lado del Jordán."

Nosotros pasaremos armados delante de Jehová á la tierra de Canaán, y la posesión de nuestra heredad será de esta parte del Jordán.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

Así, a los descendientes de Gad y Rubén, y también a la mitad de la tribu de Manasés, hijo de José, Moisés les dio el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y de Og, rey de Basán. Él les dio la tierra, y les distribuyó a ellos todas las ciudades con sus fronteras, las cuidades de la tierra alrededor de ellos.

Así les dió Moisés á los hijos de Gad y á los hijos de Rubén, y á la media tribu de Manasés hijo de José, el reino de Sehón rey Amorrheo, y el reino de Og rey de Basán, la tierra con sus ciudades y términos, las ciudades del país alrededor.

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan; the land, according to its cities and borders, even the cities of the surrounding land.

Los descendientes de Gad reconstruyeron Dibón, Atarot, Aroer,

Y los hijos de Gad edificaron á Dibón, y á Ataroth, y á Aroer,

And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

The children of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer,

Atarot Sofán, Jazer, Jogbeha,

Y á Atroth-sophan, y á Jazer, y á Jogbaa,

And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,

Atroth-shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah,

Bet Nimra, Bet Arán como ciudades fortificadas con corrales para ovejas.

Y á Beth-nimra, y á Betharán: ciudades fuertes, y también majadas para ovejas.

And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

Los descendientes de Rubén reconstruyeron Hesbón, Eleale, Quiritiaim,

Y los hijos de Rubén edificaron á Hesbón, y á Eleale, y á Kiriathaim,

And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

The children of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim,

Nebo, Baal Meón --sus nombres fueron luego cambiados, -- y Sibma. Le dieron otros nombres a las ciudades que reconstruyeron.

Y á Nebo, y á Baal-meón, (mudados los nombres), y á Sibma: y pusieron nombres á las ciudades que edificaron.

And Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.

Los descendientes de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, fueron a Galaad y se la quitaron a los amorreos que estaban en ella.

Y los hijos de Machîr hijo de Manasés fueron á Galaad, y tomáronla, y echaron al Amorrheo que estaba en ella.

And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.

Entonces Moisés le dio Galaad a Maquir, hijo de Manasés, y su gente se estableció allí.

Y Moisés dió Galaad á Machîr hijo de Manasés, el cual habitó en ella.

And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

Jair, hijo de Manasés, fué y capturó sus pueblos y los llamó Havot Jair.

También Jair hijo de Manasés fué y tomó sus aldeas, y púsoles por nombre Havoth-jair.

Noba fué y capturó Kenat y sus villas, y lo llamó Noba, como su propio nombre.
