1Moïse rapporta aux fils d'Israël tout ce que lui avait prescrit le Seigneur,
2Et Moïse parla aux chefs des tribus d'Israël, et il leur dit : Voici la chose qu'a prescrite le Seigneur :
3Quiconque aura fait un vœu au Seigneur, ou aura fait un serment, ou aura fait une promesse touchant sa propre vie, ne souillera pas sa parole ; il exécutera ce qui est sorti de sa bouche.
4Si c'est une femme qui a fait un vœu au Seigneur, ou fait une promesse en sa jeunesse dans la maison de son père ;
5Si son père apprend ce vœu ou cette promesse, et s'il garde le silence, tous ces vœux subsisteront. Tout ce qu'elle aura promis touchant sa vie, demeurera en elle.
6Mais, si son père lui refuse son consentement, le jour où il aura appris ses vœux ou ses promesses faites touchant sa vie, ces vœux, ces promesses ne subsisteront pas.
7Si elle se marie, si elle tombe sous la puissance d'un époux encore chargée de ses vœux ou des promesses de ses lèvres faites touchant sa vie,
8Et si son mari l'apprend, et s'il garde le silence le jour où il l'aura appris, ces vœux, ces promesses faites touchant sa vie, subsisteront pareillement.
9Mais, si son mari lui refuse son consentement le jour où il aura appris ses vœux ou ses promesses faites touchant sa vie, ni ces vœux, ni ces promesses ne tiendront, parce que son mari lui aura refusé son consentement, et le Seigneur la purifiera.
10Le vœu d'une veuve ou d'une femme répudiée, la promesse qu'elle aura faite touchant sa vie, demeureront en elle.
11Si le vœu de la femme est fait dans la maison de son mari, et quelle y fasse sous serment une promesse touchant sa vie,
12Si son mari l'apprend, et s'il garde le silence avec elle, et s'il ne lui refuse pas son consentement, ses vœux, ses promesses faites touchant sa vie, subsisteront contre elle.
13Mais, si son époux, le jour où il aura appris ce qui est sorti de ses lèvres, annule ses vœux ou ses promesses touchant sa vie, ces vœux et ces promesses ne subsisteront pas, parce que son époux les aura annulés, et le Seigneur la purifiera.
14Tout vœu, tout serment qui la lierait pour affliger sa vie, devra être confirmé par son époux, ou il l'en affranchira.
15S'il garde le silence plusieurs jours, il aura confirmé les vœux et les promesses dont elle était chargée ; il les aura confirmés pour elle, parce qu'il aura gardé le silence le jour où il les aura appris.
16Mais si l'époux, passé le jour où il les aura appris, les annule, il assumera sur lui le péché,
17Telles sont les règles que le Seigneur a prescrites à Moïse entre le mari et la femme, entre le père et ses jeunes filles demeurant en la maison paternelle.

1Y MOISÉS dijo á los hijos de Israel, conforme á todo lo que Jehová le había mandado.
2Y habló Moisés á los príncipes de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Esto es lo que Jehová ha mandado.
3Cuando alguno hiciere voto á Jehová, ó hiciere juramento ligando su alma con obligación, no violará su palabra: hará conforme á todo lo que salió de su boca.
4Mas la mujer, cuando hiciere voto á Jehová, y se ligare con obligación en casa de su padre, en su mocedad;
5Si su padre oyere su voto, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, y su padre callare á ello, todos los votos de ella serán firmes, y toda obligación con que hubiere ligado su alma, firme será.
6Mas si su padre le vedare el día que oyere todos sus votos y sus obligaciones, con que ella hubiere ligado su alma, no serán firmes; y Jehová la perdonará, por cuanto su padre le vedó.
7Empero si fuere casada, é hiciere votos, ó pronunciare de sus labios cosa con que obligue su alma;
8Si su marido lo oyere, y cuando lo oyere callare á ello, los votos de ella serán firmes, y la obligación con que ligó su alma, firme será.
9Pero si cuando su marido lo oyó, le vedó, entonces el voto que ella hizo, y lo que pronunció de sus labios con que ligó su alma, será nulo; y Jehová lo perdonará.
10Mas todo voto de viuda, ó repudiada, con que ligare su alma, será firme.
11Y si hubiere hecho voto en casa de su marido, y hubiere ligado su alma con obligación de juramento,
12Si su marido oyó, y calló á ello, y no le vedó; entonces todos sus votos serán firmes, y toda obligación con que hubiere ligado su alma, firme será.
13Mas si su marido los anuló el día que los oyó; todo lo que salió de sus labios cuanto á sus votos, y cuanto á la obligación de su alma, será nulo; su marido los anuló, y Jehová la perdonará.
14Todo voto, ó todo juramento obligándose á afligir el alma, su marido lo confirmará, ó su marido lo anulará.
15Empero si su marido callare á ello de día en día, entonces confirmó todos sus votos, y todas las obligaciones que están sobre ella: confirmólas, por cuanto calló á ello el día que lo oyó.
16Mas si las anulare después de haberlas oído, entonces él llevará el pecado de ella. Estas son las ordenanzas que Jehová mandó á Moisés entre el varón y su mujer, entre el padre y su hija, durante su mocedad en casa de su padre.

1And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.
2If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
4And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.
9But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.
13Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.
16These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house.

7and her husband hears it, and says nothing to her in the day that he hears it; then her vows shall stand, and her pledges with which she has bound her soul shall stand.
8But if her husband forbids her in the day that he hears it, then he makes void her vow which is on her and the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul. The LORD will forgive her.
9“But the vow of a widow, or of her who is divorced, everything with which she has bound her soul shall stand against her.
