Números 24

Cuando Balaam vio que complacía al SEÑOR el bendecir a Israel, no fue, como en las otras ocasiones, para usar hechicería. En vez de eso, miró hacia el desierto.

Y COMO vió Balaam que parecía bien á Jehová que él bendijese á Israel, no fué, como la primera y segunda vez, á encuentro de agüeros, sino que puso su rostro hacia el desierto;

And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

When Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he didn’t go, as at the other times, to use divination, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

Alzó sus ojos y vio que Israel estaba acampado, cada uno en su propia tribu, y el Espíritu de Dios vino sobre él.

Y alzando sus ojos, vió á Israel alojado por sus tribus; y el espíritu de Dios vino sobre él.

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.

Él recibió esta profecía y dijo: "Balaam hijo de Beor estás a punto de hablar, el hombre cuyos ojos están muy abiertos.

Entonces tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, y dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:

And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;

Habla y escucha las palabras de Dios. Ve visión del Todopoderoso, ante quien se acuesta boca abajo con sus ojos abiertos.

Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Dios, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:

He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

he says, who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:

Cuan bellas son tus tiendas, Jacob, el lugar donde vives, ¡Israel!

¡Cuán hermosas son tus tiendas, oh Jacob, tus habitaciones, oh Israel!

How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!

How goodly are your tents, Jacob, and your dwellings, Israel!

Como valles se esparcieron, como jardines al lado del río, como áloes plantados por EL SEÑOR, como cedros junto a las aguas

Como arroyos están extendidas, como huertos junto al río, como lináloes plantados por Jehová, como cedros junto á las aguas.

As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

As valleys they are spread out, as gardens by the riverside, as aloes which the LORD has planted, as cedar trees beside the waters.

Agua fluye de sus baldes, y su semilla es bien regada con agua. Su rey está por ser más engrandecido que Agag, y su reino será honrado.

De sus manos destilarán aguas, y su simiente será en muchas aguas: y ensalzarse ha su rey más que Agag, y su reino será ensalzado.

He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.

Dios lo trae fuera de Egipto, con fuerza como de un buey salvaje. Se comerá a las naciones que luchan contra él. Romperá sus huesos en pedazos. Les disparará con sus flechas.

Dios lo sacó de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio: comerá á las gentes sus enemigas, y desmenuzará sus huesos, y asaeteará con sus saetas.

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

God brings him out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox. He shall consume the nations his adversaries, shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them with his arrows.

Se agacha como un león, como una leona. ¿Quién se atreve a molestarlo? Que todo aquél que lo bendiga sea bendito; que todo aquél que lo maldiga sea maldito."

Se encorvará para echarse como león, y como leona; ¿quién lo despertará? Benditos los que te bendijeren, y malditos los que te maldijeren.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, as a lioness; who shall rouse him up? Everyone who blesses you is blessed. Everyone who curses you is cursed.”

La ira de Balac se encendió hacia Balaam y golpeó sus manos juntas en enojo. Balac dijo a Balaam: "Yo te llamé a maldecir a mis enemigos, pero mira, tú los has bendecido tres veces.

Entonces se encendió la ira de Balac contra Balaam, y batiendo sus palmas le dijo: Para maldecir á mis enemigos te he llamado, y he aquí los has resueltamente bendecido ya tres veces.

And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

Balak’s anger burned against Balaam, and he struck his hands together. Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.

Así que déjame ahora mismo y vete a tu casa. Yo dije que te recompenzaría grandemente a ti, pero EL SEÑOR te ha guardado de tener cualquier recompensa."

Húyete, por tanto, ahora á tu lugar: yo dije que te honraría, mas he aquí que Jehová te ha privado de honra.

Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.

Therefore, flee to your place, now! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, the LORD has kept you back from honor.”

Después Balaam respondió a Balac: "Yo dije a los mensajeros que enviaste a mí,

Y Balaam le respondió: ¿No lo declaré yo también á tus mensajeros que me enviaste, diciendo:

And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I also tell your messengers whom you sent to me, saying,

'Aún si Balac me diera su palacio lleno de plata y oro, yo no podría ir más allá de la palabra del SEÑOR y cualquier cosa buena o mala, o cualquier cosa que yo tal vez quisiera hacer. Yo solo puedo decir lo que EL SEÑOR me dice que diga.' ¿Acaso no dije esto a ellos?

Si Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, yo no podré traspasar el dicho de Jehová para hacer cosa buena ni mala de mi arbitrio; mas lo que Jehová hablare, eso diré yo?

If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?

‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the LORD’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what the LORD says’?

Así que ahora, mira, yo volveré a mi pueblo. Pero primero déjame advertirte lo que este pueblo hará a tu pueblo en los próximos días."

He aquí yo me voy ahora á mi pueblo: por tanto, ven, te indicaré lo que este pueblo ha de hacer á tu pueblo en los postrimeros días.

And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.

Now, behold, I go to my people. Come, I will inform you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.”

Balaam comenzó esta profecía. Él dijo: "Balaam hijo de Beor habla, El hombre cuyos ojos están muy abiertos.

Y tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:

And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;

Esta es una profecía de alguien que escucha palabras de Dios, quien tiene conocimiento del Altísimo, quien tiene visiones del Todopoderoso, ante quien se acuesta boca abajo con los ojos abiertos.

Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Jehová, y el que sabe la ciencia del Altísimo, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:

He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:

Lo veo, pero no está aquí ahora. Yo lo veo, pero no está cerca. Una estrella saldrá de Jacob, y un cetro se levantará de Israel. Él destruirá a los jefes de Moab y destruirá a todos los decendientes de Set.

Verélo, mas no ahora: lo miraré, mas no de cerca: saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y levantaráse cetro de Israel, y herirá los cantones de Moab, y destruirá á todos los hijos de Seth.

I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.

Después Edom vendrá ser una posesión de Israel, y Seir también se volverá su posesión, enemigos de Israel, quienes Israel conquistará con fuerza.

Y será tomada Edom, será también tomada Seir por sus enemigos, e Israel se portará varonilmente.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

Edom shall be a possession. Seir, his enemy, also shall be a possession, while Israel does valiantly.

Fuera de Jacob un rey vendrá quien tendrá dominio, y él destruirá los sobrevivientes de sus ciudades."

Y el de Jacob se enseñoreará, y destruirá de la ciudad lo que quedare.

Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

Out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.”

Balaam miró a Amalec y comenzó su profecía. Él dijo: "Amalec fue una vez el más grandioso de las naciones, pero su final será destrucción."

Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.

And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”

Entonces Balaam miró hacia los Quenitas y comenzó su profecía. Él dijo: "El lugar donde tú vives es fuerte, y tu nido es en las rocas.

Y viendo al Cineo, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Fuerte es tu habitación, pon en la peña tu nido:

And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.

He looked at the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said, “Your dwelling place is strong. Your nest is set in the rock.

Sin embargo Caín será arruinado cuando Asiria te lleve cautivo."

Que el Cineo será echado, cuando Assur te llevará cautivo.

Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.

Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”

Luego Balaam comenzó su profecía final. Él dijo: "¡Ay! ¿Quién sobrevivirá cuando Dios haga esto?

Todavía tomó su parábola, y dijo: ¡Ay! ¿quién vivirá cuando hiciere Dios estas cosas?

And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

He took up his parable, and said, “Alas, who shall live when God does this?

Naves vendrán de la costa de Quitim; atacarán a Asiria y conquistarán a Heber, pero ellos, también, terminarán en destrucción."

Y vendrán navíos de la costa de Cittim, y afligirán á Assur, afligirán también á Eber: mas él también perecerá para siempre.

And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim. They shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber. He also shall come to destruction.”

Entonces Balaam se levantó y se fue. Se volvió a su casa, y Balac también se fue.

Entonces se levantó Balaam, y se fué, y volvióse á su lugar: y también Balac se fué por su camino.

And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
