Por fin Balán comprendió que el Señor tenía intenciones de bendecir a Israel, de modo que no fue a encontrarse con el Señor como lo había hecho anteriormente. En cambio, fue y dio una mirada hacia el campamento de Israel
Y COMO vió Balaam que parecía bien á Jehová que él bendijese á Israel, no fué, como la primera y segunda vez, á encuentro de agüeros, sino que puso su rostro hacia el desierto;
And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

que estaba ocupando la llanura y ordenado según sus tribus. Entonces el Espíritu del Señor vino sobre Balán,
Y alzando sus ojos, vió á Israel alojado por sus tribus; y el espíritu de Dios vino sobre él.
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

quien proclamo la siguiente profecía: «Balán, el hijo de Beor,
Entonces tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, y dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:

el hombre cuyos ojos están abiertos, dice: He oído la palabra del Señor, y he visto lo que el Dios Altísimo me ha mostrado; mis ojos fueron abiertos:
Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Dios, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
he says, who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
»¡Ah, qué delicias aguardan a Israel, deleites en las tiendas de Jacob!
¡Cuán hermosas son tus tiendas, oh Jacob, tus habitaciones, oh Israel!
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
How goodly are your tents, Jacob, and your dwellings, Israel!
Los veo extenderse delante de mí como valles verdes y huertas fructíferas junto al río; como árboles plantados por el Señor mismo; como cedros junto a las aguas.
Como arroyos están extendidas, como huertos junto al río, como lináloes plantados por Jehová, como cedros junto á las aguas.
As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

Serán bendecidos con abundancia de aguas, y vivirán en muchos lugares. El rey será más grande que Agag; su reino será exaltado.
De sus manos destilarán aguas, y su simiente será en muchas aguas: y ensalzarse ha su rey más que Agag, y su reino será ensalzado.
He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.
»Dios los sacó de Egipto. Israel tiene la fortaleza de un búfalo, y devorará a todas las naciones que se le opongan; les partirá los huesos en pedazos, y los herirá con muchas flechas.
Dios lo sacó de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio: comerá á las gentes sus enemigas, y desmenuzará sus huesos, y asaeteará con sus saetas.
God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

Israel duerme como león, como leona, ¿quién se atreve a hacer que se levante? Bendito será el que te bendiga, oh Israel, y maldito será el que te maldiga».
Se encorvará para echarse como león, y como leona; ¿quién lo despertará? Benditos los que te bendijeren, y malditos los que te maldijeren.
He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
He couched, he lay down as a lion, as a lioness; who shall rouse him up? Everyone who blesses you is blessed. Everyone who curses you is cursed.”
El rey Balac estaba pálido de ira. Golpeando las manos con furia gritó: ―Yo te llamé para que maldijeras a mis enemigos y en lugar de ello los has bendecido tres veces.
Entonces se encendió la ira de Balac contra Balaam, y batiendo sus palmas le dijo: Para maldecir á mis enemigos te he llamado, y he aquí los has resueltamente bendecido ya tres veces.
And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
Balak’s anger burned against Balaam, and he struck his hands together. Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times.
¡Lárgate de aquí! ¡Vete a tu casa! Yo quería darte un gran honor, pero el Señor te ha despojado de todo bien.
Húyete, por tanto, ahora á tu lugar: yo dije que te honraría, mas he aquí que Jehová te ha privado de honra.
Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
Therefore, flee to your place, now! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, the LORD has kept you back from honor.”
Balán contestó: ―Yo te dije por medio de los mensajeros
Y Balaam le respondió: ¿No lo declaré yo también á tus mensajeros que me enviaste, diciendo:
And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I also tell your messengers whom you sent to me, saying,
que aunque me dieras un palacio lleno de oro y plata, yo no podría contradecir al Señor; te advertí que no podía hablar por mí mismo. Dije que hablaría solamente lo que el Señor me ordenara.
Si Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, yo no podré traspasar el dicho de Jehová para hacer cosa buena ni mala de mi arbitrio; mas lo que Jehová hablare, eso diré yo?
If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the LORD’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what the LORD says’?
En efecto, voy a regresar ahora mismo a mi pueblo, pero déjame primero decirte lo que los israelitas van a hacerle a tu pueblo.
He aquí yo me voy ahora á mi pueblo: por tanto, ven, te indicaré lo que este pueblo ha de hacer á tu pueblo en los postrimeros días.
And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
Now, behold, I go to my people. Come, I will inform you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.”
Entonces Balán añadió: «Balán el hijo de Beor,
Y tomó su parábola, y dijo: Dijo Balaam hijo de Beor, dijo el varón de ojos abiertos:

¡es el hombre cuyos ojos están abiertos! El oye las palabras de Dios y tiene conocimiento del Altísimo; él ve lo que el Dios Todopoderoso le ha mostrado.
Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Jehová, y el que sabe la ciencia del Altísimo, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
»Calló, y sus ojos fueron abiertos y vio. Vio el futuro de Israel. ¡Vio salir en la distancia, una estrella de Jacob! Este Gobernador de Israel herirá al pueblo de Moab, y destruirá a los hijos de Set.
Verélo, mas no ahora: lo miraré, mas no de cerca: saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y levantaráse cetro de Israel, y herirá los cantones de Moab, y destruirá á todos los hijos de Seth.
I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.
»Israel poseerá todo Edom y Seír, y vencerá a todos sus enemigos.
Y será tomada Edom, será también tomada Seir por sus enemigos, e Israel se portará varonilmente.
And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
Edom shall be a possession. Seir, his enemy, also shall be a possession, while Israel does valiantly.
Jacob se levantará con poder y destruirá muchas ciudades».
Y el de Jacob se enseñoreará, y destruirá de la ciudad lo que quedare.
Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
Out of Jacob shall one have dominion, and shall destroy the remnant from the city.”
Entonces Balán miró hacia las tiendas del pueblo de Amalec y profetizó: «Amalec fue la primera de las naciones, pero al fin perecerá para siempre».
Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.
And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”
A continuación miró hacia los ceneos: «Sí, están en una situación de fuerza, tienen su nido entre las rocas.
Y viendo al Cineo, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Fuerte es tu habitación, pon en la peña tu nido:
And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
He looked at the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said, “Your dwelling place is strong. Your nest is set in the rock.
Pero los ceneos serán destruidos y el poderoso ejército de Asiria los deportará de esta tierra».
Que el Cineo será echado, cuando Assur te llevará cautivo.
Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”
Concluyó sus profecías diciendo: «Ay, ¿quién podrá vivir cuando Dios haga esto?
Todavía tomó su parábola, y dijo: ¡Ay! ¿quién vivirá cuando hiciere Dios estas cosas?
And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

Barcos vendrán de las costas de Chipre, y someterán a Éber y a Asiria. También deben ser destruidos».
Y vendrán navíos de la costa de Cittim, y afligirán á Assur, afligirán también á Eber: mas él también perecerá para siempre.
And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim. They shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber. He also shall come to destruction.”
Entonces Balán y Balac regresaron cada uno a su lugar.
Entonces se levantó Balaam, y se fué, y volvióse á su lugar: y también Balac se fué por su camino.
And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
