He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Quanto belli sono i tuoi padiglioni, o Giacobbe, e le tue tende, o Israele!
¡Cuán hermosas son tus tiendas, oh Jacob, tus habitaciones, oh Israel!
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!

Come valli selvose, come orti presso ad un fiume, che li rinfresca, come i tabernacoli piantali dal Signore, come cedri vicini all'acque.
Como arroyos están extendidas, como huertos junto al río, como lináloes plantados por Jehová, como cedros junto á las aguas.
As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

La sua secchia getterà acqua, e la sua stirpe crescerà in grandi acque. Il suo re sarà rigettato a causa di Agag, e sarà a lui tolto il reame.

He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

Dio lo ha tratto fuor dell'Egitto, e la fortezza di lui è come quella del rinoceronte. Ei divorerà le genti, che gli sono nemiche, e spezzerà le loro ossa, e le trafiggerà colle saette.

Ma Balac sdegnato contro di Balaam, battendo mano con mano, disse: Io ti ho chiamato a maledire i miei nemici, e ormai per la terza volta tu gli hai benedetti:
Entonces se encendió la ira de Balac contra Balaam, y batiendo sus palmas le dijo: Para maldecir á mis enemigos te he llamado, y he aquí los has resueltamente bendecido ya tres veces.
And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

Torna donde se' venuto. Io veramente avea stabilito di onorarti grandiosamente: ma il Signore ti ha privato dell'onore, che ti era preparato.
Húyete, por tanto, ahora á tu lugar: yo dije que te honraría, mas he aquí que Jehová te ha privado de honra.
Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
Therefore, flee to your place, now! I thought to promote you to great honor; but, behold, the LORD has kept you back from honor.”
Rispose Balaam a Balac: Non ho io detto a' nunzii, che tu mi mandasti:
Y Balaam le respondió: ¿No lo declaré yo también á tus mensajeros que me enviaste, diciendo:
And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

Quando Balac mi desse la sua casa piena d'argento e d'oro, non potrò io trasgredir la parola del Signore Dio mio per cavar di mia testa qualche cosa di bene, o di male: ma dirò tutto quello che avrà detto il Signore?
Si Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, yo no podré traspasar el dicho de Jehová para hacer cosa buena ni mala de mi arbitrio; mas lo que Jehová hablare, eso diré yo?
If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the LORD’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what the LORD says’?
Nulladimeno tornandomene a casa mia, darò consiglio di quel che abbia a fare alla fine il tuo popolo a questo popolo.
He aquí yo me voy ahora á mi pueblo: por tanto, ven, te indicaré lo que este pueblo ha de hacer á tu pueblo en los postrimeros días.
And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.

Profetando adunque di nuovo disse: Parola di Balaam figliuolo di Beor: parola di quell'uomo, che ha chiuso l'occhio:

Parola di lui, che ha udito i parlari di Dio, che sa la dottrina dell'Altissimo, e vede le visioni dell'Onnipotente, il quale cadendo aperse gli occhi.
Dijo el que oyó los dichos de Jehová, y el que sabe la ciencia del Altísimo, el que vió la visión del Omnipotente; caído, mas abiertos los ojos:
He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
he says, who hears the words of God, knows the knowledge of the Most High, and who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:
Io lo vedrò, ma non ora: fisserò in lui lo sguardo, ma non da vicino: Di Giacobbe nascerà una stella, e spunterà da Israele una verga, e percuoterà i capi di Moab, e rovinerà tutti i figliuoli di Seth.
Verélo, mas no ahora: lo miraré, mas no de cerca: saldrá ESTRELLA de Jacob, y levantaráse cetro de Israel, y herirá los cantones de Moab, y destruirá á todos los hijos de Seth.
I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.
E l'Idumea sarà suo dominio: l'eredità di Seir andrà a' suoi nemici: ma Israele si porterà con fortezza.

E gettato lo sguardo verso Amalec (Balaam) profetando disse: Amalec capo delle nazioni: il suo fine è lo sterminio.
Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.
And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

Gettò anche lo sguardo verso il Cineo, e profetando disse: Forte è veramente la tua casa: ma quando ponessi il tuo nido in un masso,

And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.

E fossi l'eletto della stirpe di Cin, per quanto tempo potrai tu sussistere? perocché Assur ti prenderà.
Que el Cineo será echado, cuando Assur te llevará cautivo.
Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur carries you away captive.”
E profetando di nuovo disse: Ahi! chi sarà vivo, quando Dio farà queste cose?
Todavía tomó su parábola, y dijo: ¡Ay! ¿quién vivirá cuando hiciere Dios estas cosas?
And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

Verrà gente sulle navi dall'Italia, vincerà gli Assiri, e desolerà gli Ebrei, ed ella ancor finalmente perirà.
Y vendrán navíos de la costa de Cittim, y afligirán á Assur, afligirán también á Eber: mas él también perecerá para siempre.
And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

E Balaam si alzò, e se ne tornò a casa sua: e anche Balac se ne andò per la strada, ond'era venuto. Per la fornicazione d'Israele colle donne di Moab, e di Madian, periscono 24000 uomini del popolo. E dato il sommo Sacerdozio a Phinees in ricompensa d'avere pel zelo di Dio trafitto Zambri, e Cozbi col suo pugnale.
Entonces se levantó Balaam, y se fué, y volvióse á su lugar: y también Balac se fué por su camino.
