Als er dann die Amalekiter erblickte, trug er seinen Spruch folgendermaßen vor: »Der Völker erstes ist Amalek, doch sein Ende fällt dem Untergang anheim!«

Y viendo á Amalec, tomó su parábola, y dijo: Amalec, cabeza de gentes; mas su postrimería perecerá para siempre.

And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”
