Balaam dit à Balak: "Demeure près de ton holocauste; moi je m'en irai: peut-être l'Éternel s'offrira-t-il à ma rencontre, et, quoi qu'il me révèle, je t'en ferai part." Et il s'en alla dans la solitude.
Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Ponte junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré: quizá Jehová me vendrá al encuentro, y cualquiera cosa que me mostrare, te la noticiaré. Y así se fué solo.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.
Dieu se présenta à Balaam, qui lui dit: "J'ai dressé les sept autels, et j'ai offert un taureau et un bélier sur chaque autel."
Y vino Dios al encuentro de Balaam, y éste le dijo: Siete altares he ordenado, y en cada altar he ofrecido un becerro y un carnero.
And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

L'Éternel mit sa parole dans la bouche de Balaam, et lui dit: "Retourne vers Balak, et tu parleras de la sorte..."
Y Jehová puso palabra en la boca de Balaam, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y has de hablar así.

II retourna vers lui et le trouva debout près de son holocauste, lui et tous les princes de Moab.
Y volvió á él, y he aquí estaba él junto á su holocausto, él y todos los príncipes de Moab.
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

Et il proféra son oracle en disant: "II me fait venir d'Aram, Balak roi de Moab; il m'appelle des monts de l'orient: "Viens maudire pour moi Jacob! Oui, viens menacer Israël!"
Y él tomó su parábola, y dijo: De Aram me trajo Balac, rey de Moab, de los montes del oriente: ven, maldíceme á Jacob; y ven, execra á Israel.
And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

Comment maudirais-je celui que Dieu n'a point maudit? Comment menacerai-je, quand l'Éternel est sans colère?
¿Por qué maldeciré yo al que Dios no maldijo? ¿y por qué he de execrar al que Jehová no ha execrado?
How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom the LORD has not defied?
Oui, je le vois de la cime des rochers, et du haut des collines, je le découvre: ce peuple, il vit solitaire, iI ne se confondra point avec les nations.
Porque de la cumbre de las peñas lo veré, y desde los collados lo miraré: he aquí un pueblo que habitará confiado, y no será contado entre las gentes.
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

Qui peut compter la poussière de Jacob, nombrer la multitude d'Israël? Puissé-je mourir comme meurent ces justes, et puisse ma fin ressembler à la leur!".
¿Quién contará el polvo de Jacob, o el número de la cuarta parte de Israel? Muera mi persona de la muerte de los rectos, y mi postrimería sea como la suya.
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

Balak dit à Balaam: "Que m'as-tu fait! J'ai eu recours à toi pour maudire mes ennemis, et voilà que tu les bénis, au contraire!"
Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué me has hecho? hete tomado para que maldigas á mis enemigos, y he aquí has proferido bendiciones.
And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.”
Mais il répondit: "Certes, ce que l'Éternel met dans ma bouche, ne dois-je pas fidèlement le redire?"
Y él respondió, y dijo: ¿No observaré yo lo que Jehová pusiere en mi boca para decirlo?
And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

Balak lui dit: "Viens, je te prie, avec moi dans un autre lieu, d'où tu pourras voir ce peuple: tu n'en verras que les derniers rangs, tu ne le verras pas tout entier. Et maudis-le moi de là."
Y dijo Balac: Ruégote que vengas conmigo á otro lugar desde el cual lo veas; su extremidad solamente verás, que no lo verás todo; y desde allí me lo maldecirás.
And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”

Entonces él dijo á Balac: Ponte aquí junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré á encontrar á Dios allí.
And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.

L'Éternel se présenta à Balaam, inspira un discours à ses lèvres, lui disant: "Va rejoindre Balak, et tu parleras ainsi..."
Y Jehová salió al encuentro de Balaam, y puso palabra en su boca, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y así has de decir.
And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

Il revint près de lui, et le trouva debout près de son holocauste, les princes de Moab à ses côtés. Et Balak lui demanda: "Qu'a dit l'Éternel?"
Y vino á él, y he aquí que él estaba junto á su holocausto, y con él los príncipes de Moab: y díjole Balac: ¿Qué ha dicho Jehová?
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

Il proféra son oracle en ces termes: "Prépare-toi, Balak, à m'entendre; prête-moi _l'oreille, fils de Cippor!
Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zippor:

Il n'aperçoit point d'iniquité en Jacob, il ne voit point de mal en Israël: l'Éternel, son Dieu, est avec lui, et l'amitié d'un roi le protège.
No ha notado iniquidad en Jacob, ni ha visto perversidad en Israel: Jehová su Dios es con él, y júbilo de rey en él.
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Délivré, par ce Dieu, de l'Egypte, il a le vigoureux élan du réêm.
Dios los ha sacado de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio.
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Il ne faut point de magie à Jacob, point de sortilège à Israël: ils apprennent à point nommé, Jacob et Israël, ce que Dieu a résolu.
Porque en Jacob no hay agüero, ni adivinación en Israel: como ahora, será dicho de Jacob y de Israel: ¡Lo que ha hecho Dios!
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Voyez! Ce peuple se lève comme un léopard, il se dresse comme un lion; il ne se reposera qu'assouvi de carnage, qu'enivré du sang de ses victimes!"
He aquí el pueblo, que como león se levantará, y como león se erguirá: no se echará hasta que coma la presa, y beba la sangre de los muertos.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Behold, a people rises up as a lioness. As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”
Balak dit à Balaam: "Ne le maudis point, soit, mais ne le bénis point non plus."
Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: Ya que no lo maldices, ni tampoco lo bendigas.
And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.”
Balaam répondit à Balak: "Ne t'avais-je pas fait cette déclaration: tout ce que dira l'Éternel, je dois le faire?"
Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á Balac: ¿No te he dicho que todo lo que Jehová me dijere, aquello tengo de hacer?
But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
But Balaam answered Balak, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘All that the LORD speaks, that I must do’?”
Et Balak dit à Balaam: "Viens donc, que je te conduise à une autre place; peut-être ce Dieu trouvera-t-il bon que, de là, tu me les maudisses."
Y dijo Balac á Balaam: Ruégote que vengas, te llevaré á otro lugar; por ventura parecerá bien á Dios que desde allí me lo maldigas.
And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”
Et Balak emmena Balaam sur la cime du Peor, qui domine la surface du désert.
