Da sprach Bileam zu Balak: Laß hier sieben Altäre für mich errichten und sieben junge Stiere und sieben Widder hier für mich bereit stellen.

Y BALAAM dijo á Balac: Edifícame aquí siete altares, y prepárame aquí siete becerros y siete carneros.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

Balaam said to Balak, “Build here seven altars for me, and prepare here seven bulls and seven rams for me.”

Balak that, wie Bileam verlangt hatte, und Balak und Bileam brachten auf jedem Altar einen Farren und einen Widder dar.

Y Balac hizo como le dijo Balaam: y ofrecieron Balac y Balaam un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.

And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

Hierauf sprach Bileam zu Balak: Bleibe hier bei deinem Brandopfer; ich will hingehen, vielleicht wird sich Jahwe mir irgendwie offenbaren. Was er mich auch erschauen lassen wird, will ich dir dann mitteilen. Da ging er auf einen kahlen Hügel.

Y Balaam dijo á Balac: Ponte junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré: quizá Jehová me vendrá al encuentro, y cualquiera cosa que me mostrare, te la noticiaré. Y así se fué solo.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

Da offenbarte sich Gott Bileam, und er sprach zu ihm: die sieben Altäre habe ich zugerüstet und auf jedem einen Farren und einen Widder dargebracht.

Y vino Dios al encuentro de Balaam, y éste le dijo: Siete altares he ordenado, y en cada altar he ofrecido un becerro y un carnero.

And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

God met Balaam, and he said to him, “I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.”

Da legte Jahwe dem Bileam Worte in den Mund und sprach zu ihm: Kehre zu Balak zurück und sprich also!

Y Jehová puso palabra en la boca de Balaam, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y has de hablar así.

And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

The LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”

Da kehrte er zu ihm zurück; er aber stand noch da bei seinem Brandopfer mit allen Häuptlingen der Moabiter.

Y volvió á él, y he aquí estaba él junto á su holocausto, él y todos los príncipes de Moab.

And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

He returned to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.

Da trug er seinen Spruch vor und sprach: Aus Aram läßt mich Balak holen, aus den Bergen des Ostlands der Moabiter König. Geh, verfluche mir Jakob, ja, geh, verwünsche Israel!

Y él tomó su parábola, y dijo: De Aram me trajo Balac, rey de Moab, de los montes del oriente: ven, maldíceme á Jacob; y ven, execra á Israel.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

He took up his parable, and said, “From Aram has Balak brought me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East. Come, curse Jacob for me. Come, defy Israel.

Wie soll ich verfluchen, den Gott nicht verflucht, und wie soll ich verwünschen, den Jahwe nicht verwünscht?

¿Por qué maldeciré yo al que Dios no maldijo? ¿y por qué he de execrar al que Jehová no ha execrado?

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom the LORD has not defied?

Denn von Felsengipfeln sehe ich ihn und von Anhöhen erblicke ich ihn. Es ist ein Volk, das abgesondert wohnt und sich nicht rechnet unter die Völker.

Porque de la cumbre de las peñas lo veré, y desde los collados lo miraré: he aquí un pueblo que habitará confiado, y no será contado entre las gentes.

For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

For from the top of the rocks I see him. From the hills I see him. Behold, it is a people that dwells alone, and shall not be listed among the nations.

Wer kann zählen die Erdkrumen Jakobs und wer berechnen die Myriaden Israels? Möchte ich einst sterben, wie Gerechte sterben, und möchte mein Ende sein, wie das seinige!

¿Quién contará el polvo de Jacob, o el número de la cuarta parte de Israel? Muera mi persona de la muerte de los rectos, y mi postrimería sea como la suya.

Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

Da sprach Balak zu Bileam: Was hast du mir da gethan! Um meine Feinde zu verwünschen, habe ich dich kommen lassen; du aber hast nur gesegnet!

Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué me has hecho? hete tomado para que maldigas á mis enemigos, y he aquí has proferido bendiciones.

And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.

Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.”

Er aber erwiderte: Muß ich nicht genau so reden, wie Jahwe es mir in den Mund legt?

Y él respondió, y dijo: ¿No observaré yo lo que Jehová pusiere en mi boca para decirlo?

And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

He answered and said, “Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD puts in my mouth?”

Balak aber sprach zu ihm: komm mit mir an eine andere Stelle, von wo aus du es sehen kannst, - aber nur einen Teil von ihm kannst du sehen, das Ganze kannst du nicht sehen - und verwünsche mir es dort!

Y dijo Balac: Ruégote que vengas conmigo á otro lugar desde el cual lo veas; su extremidad solamente verás, que no lo verás todo; y desde allí me lo maldecirás.

And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”

Hierauf führte er ihn auf das Gefilde Zophim nach dem Gipfel des Pisga, errichtete sieben Altäre und brachte auf jedem derselben einen Farren und einen Widder dar.

Y llevólo al campo de Sophim, á la cumbre de Pisga, y edificó siete altares, y ofreció un becerro y un carnero en cada altar.

And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

Da sprach er zu Balak: warte hier bei deinem Brandopfer; ich aber will dort eine Offenbarung suchen.

Entonces él dijo á Balac: Ponte aquí junto á tu holocausto, y yo iré á encontrar á Dios allí.

And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.

He said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”

Da offenbarte sich Jahwe Bileam, legte ihm Worte in den Mund und befahl ihm: Kehre zu Balak zurück und sprich also!

Y Jehová salió al encuentro de Balaam, y puso palabra en su boca, y díjole: Vuelve á Balac, y así has de decir.

And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

The LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, “Return to Balak, and say this.”

Da kam er zu ihm; er aber stand noch da bei seinem Brandopfer mit den Häuptlingen der Moabiter. Da fragte ihn Balak: Was hat Jahwe geredet?

Y vino á él, y he aquí que él estaba junto á su holocausto, y con él los príncipes de Moab: y díjole Balac: ¿Qué ha dicho Jehová?

And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

He came to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, “What has the LORD spoken?”

Da trug er seinen Spruch vor und sprach: Wohlan, Balak, horch auf! Höre mir zu, Sohn Zipors!

Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zippor:

And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

He took up his parable, and said, “Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, you son of Zippor.

Gott ist nicht ein Mensch, daß er sein Wort bräche, noch ein Menschenkind, dass ihn etwas reute. SoIlte er etwas ankündigen und nicht ausführen? Sollte er etwas verheißen und nicht ins Werk setzen?

Dios no es hombre, para que mienta; ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta: el dijo, ¿y no hará?; habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará?

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?

Zu segnen wurde mir aufgetragen: so will ich denn segnen und nehme es nicht zurück!

He aquí, yo he tomado bendición: y él bendijo, y no podré revocarla.

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Behold, I have received a command to bless. He has blessed, and I can’t reverse it.

Nicht erblickt man Unheil in Jakob, noch findet man Leid in Israel. Jahwe, sein Gott, ist mit ihm, und Königsjubel erschallt bei ihm.

No ha notado iniquidad en Jacob, ni ha visto perversidad en Israel: Jehová su Dios es con él, y júbilo de rey en él.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.

Gott führte sie auf Ägypten hinweg, Hörner wie die eines Wildochsen hat es.

Dios los ha sacado de Egipto; tiene fuerzas como de unicornio.

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

God brings them out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox.

Denn keine Beschwörung haftet an Jakob, und keine Bezauberung an Israel. Jetzt kann man von Jakob und Israel nur rufen: wie Großes hat Gott gethan!

Porque en Jacob no hay agüero, ni adivinación en Israel: como ahora, será dicho de Jacob y de Israel: ¡Lo que ha hecho Dios!

Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘What has God done!’

Ja, wie eine Löwin macht sich das Volk auf, und wie ein Löwe erhebt es sich. Nicht legt es sich nieder, bevor es Beute verzehrt und Blut Erschlagener getrunken hat.

He aquí el pueblo, que como león se levantará, y como león se erguirá: no se echará hasta que coma la presa, y beba la sangre de los muertos.

Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

Behold, a people rises up as a lioness. As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”

Da sprach Balak zu Bileam: Du sollst es weder verwünschen, noch segnen.

Entonces Balac dijo á Balaam: Ya que no lo maldices, ni tampoco lo bendigas.

And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.”

Bileam aber antwortete Balak: Habe ich es dir nicht gesagt: Alles, was Jahwe verlangt, werde ich thun?

Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á Balac: ¿No te he dicho que todo lo que Jehová me dijere, aquello tengo de hacer?

But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

But Balaam answered Balak, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘All that the LORD speaks, that I must do’?”

Hierauf sprach Balak zu Bileam: Komm, ich will dich an eine andere Stelle führen; vielleicht willigt Gott ein, daß du mir es dort verwünschest!

Y dijo Balac á Balaam: Ruégote que vengas, te llevaré á otro lugar; por ventura parecerá bien á Dios que desde allí me lo maldigas.

And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”

Da führte Balak Bileam auf den Gipfel des Peor, der auf die Wüste herabschaut.

Y Balac llevó á Balaam á la cumbre de Peor, que mira hacia Jesimón.

And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
