Dio non è come l'uomo, che può mentire: né come il figliuolo dell'uomo, che può mutarsi. Egli ha detto una cosa, e non la farà? ha parlato, e non manterrà la parola?

Dios no es hombre, para que mienta; ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta: el dijo, ¿y no hará?; habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará?

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?
