Und die Ältesten Moabs und die Ältesten Midjans gingen hin mit Wahrsagegaben in ihren Händen, und kamen hinein zu Bileam und redeten die Worte Balaks zu ihm.

Und Gott kam zu Bileam und sprach: Wer sind die Männer da bei dir?
Y vino Dios á Balaam, y díjole: ¿Qué varones son estos que están contigo?
And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?

Siehe, das Volk, das aus Ägypten ausgegangen, bedeckt die Fläche der Erde. So komm nun, und verwünsche es mir, auf daß ich vielleicht vermöge, wider dasselbe zu streiten und es zu vertreiben.
He aquí este pueblo que ha salido de Egipto, cubre la haz de la tierra: ven pues ahora, y maldícemelo; quizá podré pelear con él, y echarlo.
Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
‘Behold, the people that has come out of Egypt covers the surface of the earth. Now, come curse them for me. Perhaps I shall be able to fight against them, and shall drive them out.’”
Und Gott sprach zu Bileam: Gehe nicht mit ihnen, verfluche das Volk nicht, denn es ist gesegnet.
Entonces dijo Dios á Balaam: No vayas con ellos, ni maldigas al pueblo; porque es bendito.

For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.

Und Bileam antwortete und sprach zu Balaks Knechten: Wenn Balak mir auch sein Haus voll Silber und Goldes gäbe, so vermöchte ich den Befehl Jehovahs, meines Gottes, nicht zu überschreiten, Kleines oder Großes zu tun.
Y Balaam respondió, y dijo á los siervos de Balac: Aunque Balac me diese su casa llena de plata y oro, no puedo traspasar la palabra de Jehová mi Dios, para hacer cosa chica ni grande.

And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.

Und Bileam machte sich am Morgen auf und sattelte seine Eselin und ging mit den Obersten Moabs.

Und die Eselin sah den Engel Jehovahs, Der sich in den Weg gestellt, und Sein gezücktes Schwert in Seiner Hand; und die Eselin lenkte ab von dem Wege und ging in das Feld. Und Bileam schlug die Eselin, um sie in den Weg zu lenken.
Y el asna vió al ángel de Jehová, que estaba en el camino con su espada desnuda en su mano; y apartóse el asna del camino, é iba por el campo. Entonces hirió Balaam al asna para hacerla volver al camino.
And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
The donkey saw the LORD’s angel standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and the donkey turned out of the path, and went into the field. Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the path.

And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall: and he smote her again.

Und der Engel Jehovahs zog wiederum hin und stand an einem engen Orte, da kein Weg zum Ablenken zur Rechten oder zur Linken war.

And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.

Und Jehovah öffnete der Eselin den Mund und sie sprach zu Bileam: Was habe ich dir getan, daß du mich diese dreimal geschlagen hast?
Entonces Jehová abrió la boca al asna, la cual dijo á Balaam: ¿Qué te he hecho, que me has herido estas tres veces?
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

Und Bileam sprach zu der Eselin: Weil du mir es so getrieben hast. Wäre doch ein Schwert in meiner Hand, ich würde dich jetzt erwürgen.
Y Balaam respondió al asna: Porque te has burlado de mí: ¡ojalá tuviera espada en mi mano, que ahora te mataría!
And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have mocked me, I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would have killed you.”
Und die Eselin sprach zu Bileam: Bin ich nicht deine Eselin, auf der du geritten bist, seit ich dein bin, bis auf diesen Tag. War ich je gewohnt, dir so zu tun? Und er sprach: Nein.
Y el asna dijo á Balaam: ¿No soy yo tu asna? sobre mí has cabalgado desde que tú me tienes hasta este día; ¿he acostumbrado á hacerlo así contigo? Y él respondió: No.
And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long until today? Was I ever in the habit of doing so to you?” He said, “No.”
Und Jehovah deckte Bileam die Augen auf und er sah den Engel Jehovahs mit Seinem gezückten Schwert in Seiner Hand, Der Sich in den Weg gestellt. Und er neigte sich und verbeugte sich auf sein Antlitz.

Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
The LORD’s angel said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me.
Und die Eselin hat Mich gesehen und hat diese dreimal vor Mir abgelenkt. Hätte sie vor Mir nicht abgelenkt, so hätte Ich dich auch jetzt erwürgt, sie aber leben lassen.
El asna me ha visto, y hase apartado luego de delante de mí estas tres veces: y si de mí no se hubiera apartado, yo también ahora te mataría á ti, y á ella dejaría viva.
And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
The donkey saw me, and turned away before me these three times. Unless she had turned away from me, surely now I would have killed you, and saved her alive.”
Und Bileam sprach zum Engel Jehovahs: Ich habe gesündigt, daß ich nicht wußte, daß Du Dich mir im Wege entgegenstelltest. Und nun, wenn es böse in Deinen Augen ist, will ich für mich zurückkehren.
Entonces Balaam dijo al ángel de Jehová: He pecado, que no sabía que tú te ponías delante de mí en el camino: mas ahora, si te parece mal, yo me volveré.
And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
Balaam said to the LORD’s angel, “I have sinned; for I didn’t know that you stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases you, I will go back again.”
Und der Engel Jehovahs sprach zu Bileam: Gehe mit den Männern, jedoch das Wort, welches Ich zu dir reden werde, das rede. Und Bileam ging mit Balaks Obersten.
Y el ángel de Jehová dijo á Balaam: Ve con esos hombres: empero la palabra que yo te dijere, esa hablarás. Así Balaam fué con los príncipes de Balac.
And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
The LORD’s angel said to Balaam, “Go with the men; but you shall only speak the word that I shall speak to you.” So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
Und Balak hörte, daß Bileam komme und er ging aus ihm entgegen bis Ir Moab, das an der Grenze Arnons, der am Ende der Grenze ist.
Y oyendo Balac que Balaam venía, salió á recibirlo á la ciudad de Moab, que está junto al término de Arnón, que es el cabo de los confines.
And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.

Und Balak sprach zu Bileam: Habe ich nicht zu dir gesandt, dich zu rufen? Warum bist du nicht zu mir gekommen? Vermag ich fürwahr nicht dich zu verherrlichen?

And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?
Balak said to Balaam, “Didn’t I earnestly send for you to summon you? Why didn’t you come to me? Am I not able indeed to promote you to honor?”
Und Bileam sprach zu Balak: Siehe, ich bin zu dir gekommen, aber vermag ich jetzt irgend etwas zu reden? Das Wort, das Gott mir in den Mund legt, das muß ich reden.
Y Balaam respondió á Balac: He aquí yo he venido á ti: mas ¿podré ahora hablar alguna cosa? La palabra que Dios pusiere en mi boca, esa hablaré.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.
Balaam said to Balak, “Behold, I have come to you. Have I now any power at all to speak anything? I will speak the word that God puts in my mouth.”
