Und der Kanaaniter, König von Arad, der gegen Mittag wohnte, hörte, daß Israel auf dem Wege der Kundschafter hereinkomme, und er stritt wider Israel und nahm etliche von ihm gefangen.

Y OYENDO el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, el cual habitaba al mediodía, que venía Israel por el camino de los centinelas, peleó con Israel, y tomó de él presa.

And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

Und Israel gelobte ein Gelübde dem Jehovah und sprach: Wenn Du dies Volk in meine Hand gibst, so will ich seine Städte bannen.

Entonces Israel hizo voto á Jehová, y dijo: Si en efecto entregares á este pueblo en mi mano, yo destruiré sus ciudades.

And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

Und vom Berge Hor brachen sie auf auf dem Wege nach dem Suph-Meer, um das Land Edoms zu umziehen, und die Seele des Volkes ward ungeduldig auf dem Wege.

Y partieron del monte de Hor, camino del mar Bermejo, para rodear la tierra de Edom; y abatióse el ánimo del pueblo por el camino.

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

Und das Volk redete wider Gott und wider Mose: Warum habt ihr uns aus Ägypten heraufgebracht, daß wir in der Wüste sterben? Wir haben kein Brot und kein Wasser, und unsere Seele hat Überdruß an dem leichten Brot.

Y habló el pueblo contra Dios y Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hiciste subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? que ni hay pan, ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano.

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

The people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”

Und Jehovah sandte gegen das Volk die feurigen Schlangen und sie bissen das Volk, und viel Volks von Israel starb.

Y Jehová envió entre el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo: y murió mucho pueblo de Israel.

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Und das Volk kam zu Mose und sie sprachen: Wir haben gesündigt, daß wir wider Jehovah und wider dich geredet haben. Bete zu Jehovah, daß Er die Schlange von uns wegnehme. Und Mose betete für das Volk.

Entonces el pueblo vino á Moisés, y dijeron: Pecado hemos por haber hablado contra Jehová, y contra ti: ruega á Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes. Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Mache dir eine Feuerschlange und setze sie auf ein Panier. Und es soll geschehen, daß jeder, der gebissen wird, und sieht sie an, der soll leben.

Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Hazte una serpiente ardiente, y ponla sobre la bandera: y será que cualquiera que fuere mordido y mirare á ella, vivirá.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

The LORD said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

Und Mose machte eine eherne Schlange und setzte sie auf ein Panier, und es geschah, daß, wenn die Schlange einen Mann biß, und er auf die eherne Schlange blickte, er am Leben blieb.

Y Moisés hizo una serpiente de metal, y púsola sobre la bandera: y fué, que cuando alguna serpiente mordía á alguno, miraba á la serpiente de metal, y vivía.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Und die Söhne Israels brachen auf und lagerten in Oboth.

Y partieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron campo en Oboth.

Und von Oboth brachen sie auf und lagerten in Ijje Abarim in der Wüste, die vor Moab gegen Aufgang der Sonne ist.

And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.

De allí movieron, y asentaron de la otra parte de Arnón, que está en el desierto, y que sale del término del Amorrheo; porque Arnón es término de Moab, entre Moab y el Amorrheo.

From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

Und der Ausfluß der Bäche, der sich lenket dahin, wo man wohnt in Ar und sich lehnt an die Grenze von Moab.

Y á la corriente de los arroyos que va á parar en Ar, y descansa en el término de Moab.

And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

the slope of the valleys that incline toward the dwelling of Ar, leans on the border of Moab.”

Und von da nach Beer; dies das Beer, von dem Jehovah zu Mose sagte: Versammle das Volk, und Ich will ihnen Wasser geben.

Y de allí vinieron á Beer: este es el pozo del cual Jehová dijo á Moisés: Junta el pueblo, y les daré agua.

And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.

The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:

Und von Bamoth nach dem Tal, das im Gefilde von Moab ist, nach der Spitze des Pisgah hin und hinausschaut über die Angesichte des Wüstenlandes.

Y de Bamoth al valle que está en los campos de Moab, y á la cumbre de Pisga, que mira á Jesimón.

And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.

Und Israel sandte Boten zu Sichon, den König der Amoriter und sprach:

Laß mich durch dein Land durchziehen. Wir wollen nicht in Feld, noch in Weinberg ablenken, wollen nicht trinken das Wasser des Brunnens, sondern auf dem Königswege durchgehen, bis wir durch deine Grenze durchgezogen sind.

Pasaré por tu tierra: no nos apartaremos por los labrados, ni por las viñas; no beberemos las aguas de los pozos: por el camino real iremos, hasta que pasemos tu término.

Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.

“Let me pass through your land. We will not turn away into field or vineyard. We will not drink of the water of the wells. We will go by the king’s highway, until we have passed your border.”

Sichon aber gab nicht zu, daß Israel durch seine Grenze durchzöge; und Sichon sammelte all sein Volk und er ging aus, Israel entgegen nach der Wüste und kam bis Jahza, und stritt wider Israel.

Mas Sehón no dejó pasar á Israel por su término: antes juntó Sehón todo su pueblo, y salió contra Israel en el desierto: y vino á Jahaz, y peleó contra Israel.

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwertes und nahm sein Land ein vom Arnon bis an den Jabbok bis zu den Söhnen Ammons; denn stark war die Grenze der Söhne Ammons.

Denn Cheschbon war die Stadt Sichons, des Amoriterkönigs; und dieser hatte gestritten gegen den früheren König Moabs und ihm all sein Land bis zum Arnon aus seiner Hand genommen.

Porque Hesbón era la ciudad de Sehón, rey de los Amorrheos; el cual había tenido guerra antes con el rey de Moab, y tomado de su poder toda su tierra hasta Arnón.

Darum sagen die Verkünder der Aussprüche: Kommet hinein nach Cheschbon! Aufgebauet und befestigt werde Sichons Stadt!

Por tanto, dicen los proverbistas: Venid á Hesbón, edifíquese y repárese la ciudad de Sehón:

Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:

Denn ein Feuer ging aus von Cheschbon, eine Flamme aus Sichons Stadt, sie fraß Ar Moab und die Bürger von Arnons Opferhöhen.

Que fuego salió de Hesbón, y llama de la ciudad de Sehón, y consumió á Ar de Moab, á los señores de los altos de Arnón.

For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.

Wehe dir, Moab! Verloren bist du, Kamos Volk. Er gab seine Söhne, die Entkommenen, und seine Töchter in Gefangenschaft Sichon, dem Amoriterkönig.

¡Ay de ti, Moab! Perecido has, pueblo de Chêmos: puso sus hijos en huída, y sus hijas en cautividad, por Sehón rey de los Amorrheos.

Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.

Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

Und wir schossen sie nieder. Cheschbon ist verloren bis Dibon. Wir verwüsteten sie bis Nophach, das bis Medebah reicht.

Und Mose sandte nach Jaeser, es auszukundschaften, und sie eroberten dessen Töchter und trieben aus den Amoriter, der darin war.

And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

The LORD said to Moses, “Don’t fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, with all his people, and his land. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
