1And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina, in the tabernacle of witness, on the first day of the second month, in the second year of their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,
2Take the sum of all the congregation of Israel according to their kindreds, according to the houses of their fathers’ families, according to their number by their names, according to their heads: every male
3from twenty years old and upwards, every one that goes forth in the Gr. force forces of Israel, take account of them with their strength; thou and Aaron take account of them.
4And with you there shall be each one of the rulers according to the tribe of each: they shall be according to the houses of their families.
5And these are the names of the men who shall be present with you; of the tribe of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sediur.
6Of Symeon, Salamiel the son of Surisadai.
7Of Juda, Naasson the son of Aminadab.
8Of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Sogar.
9Of Zabulon, Eliab the son of Chaelon.
10Of the sons of Joseph, of Ephraim, Elisama the son of Emiud: of Manasses, Gamaliel the son of Phadasur.
11Of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gadeoni.
12Of Dan, Achiezer the son of Amisadai.
13Of Aser, Phagaiel the son of Echran.
14Of Gad, Elisaph the son of Raguel.
15Of Nephthali, Achire the son of Ænan.
16These were famous men of the congregation, heads of the tribes according to their families: these are heads of thousands in Israel.
17And Moses and Aaron took these men who were called by name.
18And they assembled all the congregation on the first day of the month in the second year; and they axonev dicebantur olim tabulae publicae; atque inde epaxooun, quod videture esse, in tabulas referre; L. Bos registered them after their lineage, after their families, after the number of their names, from twenty years old and upwards, every male according to their Gr. head or poll number:
19as the Lord commanded Moses, so they were numbered in the wilderness of Sina.
20And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their heads, were—all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that went out with the host—
21the numbering of them of the tribe of Ruben, was forty-six thousand and four hundred.
22For the children of Symeon according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out with the host,
23the numbering of them of the tribe of Symeon, was fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
24For the sons of Juda according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host,
25the numbering of them of the tribe of Juda, was seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
26For the sons of Issachar according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host,
27the numbering of them of the tribe of Issachar, was fifty-four thousand and Alex. 500 four hundred.

41the numbering of them of the tribe of Aser, was forty and one thousand and five hundred.
42For the sons of Nephthali according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, every one who goes forth with the host,
43the numbering of them of the tribe of Nephthali, was fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
44This is the numbering which Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel, being twelve men, conducted: there was a man for each tribe, they were according to the tribe of the houses of their family.
45And the whole numbering of the children of Israel with their host from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out to set himself in battle array in Israel, came to
46six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
47But the Levites of the tribe of their family were not counted among the children of Israel.
48And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
49See, thou shalt not muster the tribe of Levi, and thou shalt not take their numbers, in the midst of the children of Israel.
50And do thou set the Levites over the tabernacle of witness, and over all its furniture, and over all things that are in it; and they shall do service in it, and they shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51And in removing the tabernacle, the Levites shall take it down, and in pitching the tabernacle they shall set it up: and let the stranger that advances to touch it die.
52And the children of Israel shall encamp, every man in his own order, and every man according to Or, headship, i. e. according to the situation of his captain or prince his company, with their host.
53But let the Levites encamp round about the tabernacle of witness fronting it, and so there shall be no sin among the children of Israel; and the Levites themselves shall keep the guard of the tabernacle of witness.
54And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

2Tomad el encabezamiento de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, con la cuenta de los nombres, todos los varones por sus cabezas:
3De veinte años arriba, todos los que pueden salir á la guerra en Israel, los contaréis tú y Aarón por sus cuadrillas.
4Y estará con vosotros un varón de cada tribu, cada uno cabeza de la casa de sus padres.

48Porque habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
49Solamente no contarás la tribu de Leví, ni tomarás la cuenta de ellos entre los hijos de Israel:
50Mas tú pondrás á los Levitas en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y sobre todos sus vasos, y sobre todas las cosas que le pertenecen: ellos llevarán el tabernáculo y todos sus vasos, y ellos servirán en él, y asentarán sus tiendas alrededor del tabernáculo.
51Y cuando el tabernáculo partiere, los Levitas lo desarmarán; y cuando el tabernáculo parare, los Levitas lo armarán: y el extraño que se llegare, morirá.
52Y los hijos de Israel asentarán sus tiendas cada uno en su escuadrón, y cada uno junto á su bandera, por sus cuadrillas;
53Mas los Levitas asentarán las suyas alrededor del tabernáculo del testimonio, y no habrá ira sobre la congregación de los hijos de Israel: y los Levitas tendrán la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio.
54E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme á todas las cosas que mandó Jehová á Moisés; así lo hicieron.

5And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

50But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
52And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.
53But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
54And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

50but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
51When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
52The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
53But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
