1Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
2Sage dem Eleasar, dem Sohne Aharons, des Priesters, er solle die Rauchpfannen aus dem Brande emporheben, und das Feuer fernhin zersprengen, denn sie sind heilig,
3Die Rauchpfannen dieser Sünder gegen ihre Seele; und ihr sollt sie zu breitem Blech schlagen, als Überzug über den Altar; denn sie brachten sie dar vor Jehovah; und sie sind darum geheiligt, und sollen zum Zeichen sein für die Söhne Israels.
4Und Eleasar, der Priester, nahm die ehernen Rauchpfannen, welche die Verbrannten dargebracht hatten, und sie schlugen sie breit zu einem Überzug für den Altar;
5Zum Andenken für die Söhne Israels, damit kein fremder Mann sich nahe, der nicht vom Samen Aharons ist, um Räuchwerk vor Jehovah zu räuchern, auf daß ihm nicht wie Korach und seiner Gemeinde geschehe; wie Jehovah durch die Hand Moses zu ihm geredet hat.
6Und am morgenden Tag murrte die ganze Gemeinde der Söhne Israels gegen Mose und gegen Aharon und sagte: Ihr habt das Volk Jehovahs getötet.
7Und es geschah, da die Gemeinde sich wider Mose und wider Aharon versammelte, und sie sich zum Versammlungszelte wandten, siehe, da bedeckte die Wolke dasselbe und die Herrlichkeit Jehovahs erschien.
8Und Mose und Aharon kamen vor das Versammlungszelt.
9Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
10Hebet euch weg aus der Mitte dieser Gemeinde! Und Ich werde sie wie im Augenblick verzehren. Und sie fielen auf ihr Angesicht;
11Und Mose sprach zu Aharon: Nimm die Rauchpfanne und tue Feuer vom Altar darauf, und lege Räuchwerk darauf, und gehe eilig zu der Gemeinde und sühne sie; denn Entrüstung ist vom Angesichte Jehovahs ausgegangen, die Plage hat angefangen.
12Und Aharon nahm sie, wie Mose zu ihm geredet hatte, und lief mitten in die Versammlung, und siehe, die Plage hatte im Volke angefangen, und er tat das Räuchwerk darauf und sühnte das Volk;
13Und stand zwischen die Toten und zwischen die Lebendigen, und der Plage ward Einhalt getan. Und der Toten in der Plage waren vierzehntausendsiebenhundert, außer den Toten wegen der Sache Korachs. Und Aharon kehrte zu Mose zurück an den Eingang des Versammlungszeltes, und der Plage war Einhalt getan. Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach: Rede zu den Söhnen Israels und nimm von ihnen je einen Stab für ein Vaterhaus von allen ihren Fürsten, nach dem Hause ihrer Väter, zwölf Stäbe. Jedes Mannes Namen sollst du auf seinen Stab schreiben. Und Aharons Namen sollst du auf den Stab Levis schreiben; denn ein Stab sei für das Haupt des Hauses ihrer Väter. Und lege sie nieder im Versammlungszelt vor dem Zeugnis, wo Ich Mich bei euch einstelle. Und es wird geschehen, daß der Stab des Mannes, den Ich erwähle, sprossen wird, und so werde Ich das Murren der Söhne Israels gegen Mich, das sie wider euch murren, sich legen lassen. Und Mose redete zu den Söhnen Israels, und es gaben ihm alle ihre Fürsten je einen Stab auf einen Fürsten nach dem Hause ihrer Väter, zwölf Stäbe, und inmitten ihrer Stäbe war Aharons Stab. Und Mose legte die Stäbe vor Jehovah im Versammlungszelt nieder. Und es geschah, als Mose am morgenden Tag in das Zelt des Zeugnisses hineinkam, siehe, da hatte der Stab Aharons vom Hause Levi gesproßt und Knospen hervorgebracht, daß Blüten daran blühten, und Mandeln reiften. Und Mose brachte alle Stäbe vom Angesicht Jehovahs heraus vor alle Söhne Israels, und sie sahen sie, und jeder Mann nahm seinen Stab. Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Bringe den Stab Aharons zurück vor das Zeugnis zur Aufbewahrung als Zeichen für die Sühne der Widerspenstigkeit, daß ihr Murren von Mir alle werde und sie nicht sterben. Und Mose tat, wie Jehovah ihm geboten hatte. Also tat er. Und die Söhne Israels sprachen zu Mose und sagten: Siehe, wir verscheiden, wir sind verloren, wir alle sind verloren! Jeder, der sich nahet, der sich naht der Wohnung Jehovahs, stirbt. Sollen wir alle umkommen, daß wir verscheiden?

1Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
2Habla á los hijos de Israel, y toma de ellos una vara por cada casa de los padres, de todos los príncipes de ellos, doce varas conforme á las casas de sus padres; y escribirás el nombre de cada uno sobre su vara.
3Y escribirás el nombre de Aarón sobre la vara de Leví; porque cada cabeza de familia de sus padres tendrá una vara.
4Y las pondrás en el tabernáculo del testimonio delante del testimonio, donde yo me declararé á vosotros.
5Y será, que el varón que yo escogiere, su vara florecerá: y haré cesar de sobre mí las quejas de los hijos de Israel, con que murmuran contra vosotros.
6Y Moisés habló á los hijos de Israel, y todos los príncipes de ellos le dieron varas; cada príncipe por las casas de sus padres una vara, en todas doce varas; y la vara de Aarón estaba entre las varas de ellos.
7Y Moisés puso las varas delante de Jehová en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
8Y aconteció que el día siguiente vino Moisés al tabernáculo del testimonio; y he aquí que la vara de Aarón de la casa de Leví había brotado, y echado flores, y arrojado renuevos, y producido almendras.
9Entonces sacó Moisés todas las varas de delante de Jehová á todos los hijos de Israel; y ellos lo vieron, y tomaron cada uno su vara.
10Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Vuelve la vara de Aarón delante del testimonio, para que se guarde por señal á los hijos rebeldes; y harás cesar sus quejas de sobre mí, porque no mueran.
11E hízolo Moisés: como le mandó Jehová, así hizo.
12Entonces los hijos de Israel hablaron á Moisés, diciendo: He aquí nosotros somos muertos, perdidos somos, todos nosotros somos perdidos.
13Cualquiera que se llegare, el que se acercare al tabernáculo de Jehová morirá: ¿acabaremos de perecer todos?
King James Version
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man’s name upon his rod.
3And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
5And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
6And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
8And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
9And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
11And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.
12And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
13Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
World English Bible
1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and take rods from them, one for each fathers’ house, of all their princes according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods. Write each man’s name on his rod.
3You shall write Aaron’s name on Levi’s rod. There shall be one rod for each head of their fathers’ houses.
4You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the covenant, where I meet with you.
5It shall happen that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud. I will make the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you, cease from me.”
6Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, a total of twelve rods. Aaron’s rod was among their rods.
7Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the Tent of the Testimony.
8On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.
9Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the children of Israel. They looked, and each man took his rod.
10The LORD said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the covenant, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their complaining against me, that they not die.”
11Moses did so. As the LORD commanded him, so he did.
12The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!
13Everyone who keeps approaching the LORD’s tabernacle, dies! Will we all perish?”
