Und warum bringt uns der HERR in dieses Land, dass wir durchs Schwert fallen und unsere Frauen und unsere kleinen Kinder zur Beute werden? Wäre es nicht besser für uns, nach Ägypten zurückzukehren?
¿Y por qué nos trae Jehová á esta tierra para caer á cuchillo, y que nuestras mujeres y nuestros chiquitos sean por presa? ¿no nos sería mejor volvernos á Egipto?
And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Why does the LORD bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be captured or killed! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return into Egypt?”
Und sie sprachen einer zum anderen: Lasst uns ein Haupt über uns setzen und nach Ägypten zurückkehren!

Und die ganze Gemeinde sagte, dass man sie steinigen solle. Da erschien die Herrlichkeit des HERRN an dem Zelt der Zusammenkunft allen Kindern Israel.

Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Wie lange will mich dieses Volk verachten, und wie lange wollen sie mir nicht glauben bei all den Zeichen, die ich in ihrer Mitte getan habe?
Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: ¿Hasta cuándo me ha de irritar este pueblo? ¿hasta cuándo no me ha de creer con todas las señales que he hecho en medio de ellos?
And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
The LORD said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? How long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?
Ich will es mit der Pest schlagen und es vertilgen; und ich will dich zu einer Nation machen, größer und stärker als sie.

und man wird es den Bewohnern dieses Landes sagen, die gehört haben, dass du, HERR, in der Mitte dieses Volkes bist, dass du, HERR, Auge in Auge dich sehen lässt, und dass deine Wolke über ihnen steht, und du in einer Wolkensäule vor ihnen hergehst bei Tage und in einer Feuersäule bei Nacht.
Y lo dirán á los habitadores de esta tierra; los cuales han oído que tú, oh Jehová, estabas en medio de este pueblo, que ojo á ojo aparecías tú, oh Jehová, y que tu nube estaba sobre ellos, y que de día ibas delante de ellos en columna de nube, y de noche en columna de fuego:
And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

Und tötest du dieses Volk wie einen Mann, so werden die Nationen, die deinen Ruf gehört haben, sprechen und sagen:

Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,

Weil der HERR nicht vermochte, dieses Volk in das Land zu bringen, das er ihnen zugeschworen hatte, so hat er sie in der Wüste hingeschlachtet.
Porque no pudo Jehová meter este pueblo en la tierra de la cual les había jurado, los mató en el desierto.
Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.

Der HERR ist langsam zum Zorn und groß an Güte, der Ungerechtigkeit und Übertretung vergibt, – aber keineswegs hält er für schuldlosden Schuldigen – der die Ungerechtigkeit der Väter heimsucht an den Kindern am dritten und am vierten Glied.
Jehová, tardo de ira y grande en misericordia, que perdona la iniquidad y la rebelión, y absolviendo no absolverá al culpado; que visita la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos hasta los terceros y hasta los cuartos.
The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Vergib doch die Ungerechtigkeit dieses Volkes nach der Größe deiner Güte, und so, wie du diesem Volk verziehen hast von Ägypten an bis hierher!
Perdona ahora la iniquidad de este pueblo según la grandeza de tu misericordia, y como has perdonado á este pueblo desde Egipto hasta aquí.

Und der HERR sprach: Ich habe vergeben nach deinem Wort.

Doch aber, so wahr ich lebe, soll von der Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllt werden die ganze Erde;
Mas, ciertamente vivo yo y mi gloria hinche toda la tierra,
But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
but in very deed—as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the LORD’s glory—
denn alle die Männer, die meine Herrlichkeit und meine Zeichen gesehen haben, die ich in Ägypten und in der Wüste getan, und mich nun zehnmal versucht und nicht gehört haben auf meine Stimme –
Que todos los que vieron mi gloria y mis señales que he hecho en Egipto y en el desierto, y me han tentado ya diez veces, y no han oído mi voz,
Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

wenn sie das Land sehen werden, das ich ihren Vätern zugeschworen habe! Ja, alle, die mich verachtet haben, sollen es nicht sehen.
No verán la tierra de la cual juré á sus padres: no, ninguno de los que me han irritado la verá.

Aber meinen Knecht Kaleb, weil ein anderer Geist in ihm gewesen und er mir völlig nachgefolgt ist, ihn werde ich in das Land bringen, in das er gekommen ist; und seine Nachkommenschaft soll es besitzen.

Und der HERR redete zu Mose und zu Aaron und sprach:
Y Jehová habló á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:

Wie lange soll es mit dieser bösen Gemeinde währen, dass sie gegen mich murrt? Das Murren der Kinder Israel, das sie gegen mich murren, habe ich gehört.
¿Hasta cuándo oiré esta depravada multitud que murmura contra mí, las querellas de los hijos de Israel, que de mí se quejan?
How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
“How long shall I bear with this evil congregation that complain against me? I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel, which they complain against me.
Sprich zu ihnen: So wahr ich lebe, spricht der HERR, wenn ich euch nicht so tun werde, wie ihr vor meinen Ohren geredet habt!
Diles: Vivo yo, dice Jehová, que según habéis hablado á mis oídos, así haré yo con vosotros:
Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Tell them, ‘As I live, says the LORD, surely as you have spoken in my ears, so I will do to you.
In dieser Wüste sollen eure Leichname fallen, ja, alle eure Gemusterten nach eurer ganzen Zahl, von 20 Jahren und darüber, die ihr gegen mich gemurrt habt.
En este desierto caerán vuestros cuerpos; todos vuestros contados según toda vuestra cuenta, de veinte años arriba, los cuales habéis murmurado contra mí;
Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all who were counted of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have complained against me,
Wenn ihr in das Land kommen werdet, darinnen euch wohnen zu lassen ich meine Hand erhoben habe, außer Kaleb, dem Sohn Jephunnes, und Josua, dem Sohn Nuns!
Vosotros á la verdad no entraréis en la tierra, por la cual alcé mi mano de haceros habitar en ella; exceptuando á Caleb hijo de Jephone, y á Josué hijo de Nun.
Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Und eure kleinen Kinder, von denen ihr gesagt habt: Sie werden zur Beute werden! Die will ich hineinbringen, und sie sollen das Land kennen lernen, das ihr verschmäht habt.

But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.

Ihr aber, eure Leichname sollen in dieser Wüste fallen;
Y en cuanto á vosotros, vuestros cuerpos caerán en este desierto.

und eure Kinder sollen 40 Jahre lang in der Wüste weiden und eure Hurereien tragen, bis eure Leichname in der Wüste aufgerieben sind.
Y vuestros hijos andarán pastoreando en el desierto cuarenta años, y ellos llevarán vuestras fornicaciones, hasta que vuestros cuerpos sean consumidos en el desierto.
And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.

Nach der Zahl der Tage, die ihr das Land ausgekundschaftet habt, 40 Tage, je einen Tag für ein Jahr, sollt ihr 40 Jahre lang eure Ungerechtigkeiten tragen, und ihr sollt erfahren, was es ist, wenn ich mich abwende!
Conforme al número de los días, de los cuarenta días en que reconocisteis la tierra, llevaréis vuestras iniquidades cuarenta años, un año por cada día; y conoceréis mi castigo.

Ich, der HERR, habe es geredet; wenn ich dies nicht tun werde an dieser ganzen bösen Gemeinde, die sich gegen mich zusammengerottet hat! In dieser Wüste sollen sie aufgerieben werden, und dort sollen sie sterben!
Yo Jehová he hablado; así haré á toda esta multitud perversa que se ha juntado contra mí; en este desierto serán consumidos, y ahí morirán.
I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

Und als Mose jene Worte zu allen Kindern Israel redete, da trauerte das Volk sehr.

Aber Mose sprach: Warum übertretet ihr doch den Befehl des HERRN? Es wird ja nicht gelingen!
Y dijo Moisés: ¿Por qué quebrantáis el dicho de Jehová? Esto tampoco os sucederá bien.
And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
Moses said, “Why now do you disobey the commandment of the LORD, since it shall not prosper?
Zieht nicht hinauf, denn der HERR ist nicht in eurer Mitte, dass ihr nicht vor euren Feinden geschlagen werdet,
No subáis, porque Jehová no está en medio de vosotros, no seáis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos.
Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

denn die Amalekiter und die Kanaaniter sind dort vor euch, und ihr werdet durchs Schwert fallen. Weil ihr euch von der Nachfolge des HERRN abgewandt habt, wird der HERR nicht mit euch sein.
Porque el Amalecita y el Cananeo están allí delante de vosotros, y caeréis á cuchillo: pues por cuanto os habéis retraído de seguir á Jehová, por eso no será Jehová con vosotros.

Doch sie vermaßen sich, auf den Gipfel des Gebirges hinaufzuziehen; aber die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und Mose wichen nicht aus der Mitte des Lagers.
Sin embargo, se obstinaron en subir á la cima del monte: mas el arca de la alianza de Jehová, y Moisés, no se apartaron de en medio del campo.
