3Que ne sommes-nous morts en la terre d'Egypte ! que ne sommes-nous morts dans ce désert ! Pourquoi le Seigneur nous conduit-il contre un pays où nous périrons en combattant ? Nos femmes, nos enfants seront la proie des vainqueurs ; maintenant donc il vaut mieux retourner en Egypte.

3¿Y por qué nos trae Jehová á esta tierra para caer á cuchillo, y que nuestras mujeres y nuestros chiquitos sean por presa? ¿no nos sería mejor volvernos á Egipto?

3And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
