On appela cet endroit la vallée d'Eshcol, à cause de la grappe que les enfants d'Israël y avaient coupée.

Y llegaron hasta el arroyo de Escol, y de allí cortaron un sarmiento con un racimo de uvas, el cual trajeron dos en un palo, y de las granadas y de los higos.

The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

That place was called the valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the children of Israel cut down from there.
