Números 13

"Envía algunos hombres a investigar la tierra de Canaán, la cual Yo he dado a la gente de Israel. Envía un hombre de cada tribu de sus antepasados. Cada hombre debe ser un jefe entre ellos."

Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:

Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

“Send men, that they may spy out the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel. Of every tribe of their fathers, you shall send a man, every one a prince among them.”
