Números 11

Un dia las personas se quejaron de sus problemas mientras EL SEÑOR escuchaba. El SEÑOR escuchó a las personas y se molestó. Fuego del SEÑOR ardió entre ellos y consumió parte del campamento en sus esquinas.

Y ACONTECIÓ que el pueblo se quejó á oídos de Jehová: y oyólo Jehová, y enardecióse su furor, y encendióse en ellos fuego de Jehová y consumió el un cabo del campo.

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

The people were complaining in the ears of the LORD. When the LORD heard it, his anger burned; and the LORD’s fire burned among them, and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.

Luego las personas llamaron a Moisés, así que Moisés oró al SEÑOR, y el fuego se detuvo.

Entonces el pueblo dió voces á Moisés, y Moisés oró á Jehová, y soterróse el fuego.

And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.

The people cried to Moses; and Moses prayed to the LORD, and the fire abated.

Aquel lugar fue llamado Tabera, porque el fuego del SEÑOR ardió entre ellos.

Y llamó á aquel lugar Taberah; porque el fuego de Jehová se encendió en ellos.

And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.

The name of that place was called Taberah, because the LORD’s fire burned among them.

Algunas personas extranjeras comenzaron a acampar con los desendientes de Israel. Ellos querían mejor comida para comer. Luego el pueblo de Israel comenzó a llorar y a decir: "¿Quién nos dará carne para comer?"

Y el vulgo que había en medio tuvo un vivo deseo, y volvieron, y aun lloraron los hijos de Israel, y dijeron: ¡Quién nos diera á comer carne!

And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly; and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, “Who will give us meat to eat?

Nosotros recordamos los pescados que comimos libremente en Egipto, los pepinos, los melones, los puerros, las cebollas y ajos.

Nos acordamos del pescado que comíamos en Egipto de balde, de los cohombros, y de los melones, y de los puerros, y de las cebollas, y de los ajos:

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

Ahora, nuestro apetito se ha ido, porque todo lo que nosotros podemos ver es este maná."

Y ahora nuestra alma se seca; que nada sino maná ven nuestros ojos.

But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

but now we have lost our appetite. There is nothing at all except this manna to look at.”

El maná era como semilla de cilantro. Parecía resina.

Y era el maná como semilla de culantro, y su color como color de bdelio.

And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.

The manna was like coriander seed, and it looked like bdellium.

El pueblo caminaba y lo recogia. Ellos lo molían en molinos, lo machacaban en morteros, lo herbían en ollas, y lo hacían pan. Sabía como aceite de oliva fresco.

Derramábase el pueblo, y recogían, y molían en molinos, ó majaban en morteros, y lo cocían en caldera, ó hacían de él tortas: y su sabor era como sabor de aceite nuevo.

And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.

The people went around, gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in mortars, and boiled it in pots, and made cakes of it. Its taste was like the taste of fresh oil.

Cuando el rocío caía sobre el campo en la noche, el maná también caía.

Y cuando descendía el rocío sobre el real de noche, el maná descendía de sobre él.

And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

Moisés escuchó al pueblo y a sus familias llorar, y cada hombre estaba en la entrada de su tienda. El SEÑOR estaba muy enojado, y ante los ojos de Moisés sus quejas estaban mal.

Y oyó Moisés al pueblo, que lloraba por sus familias, cada uno á la puerta de su tienda: y el furor de Jehová se encendió en gran manera; también pareció mal á Moisés.

Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

Moisés dijo al SEÑOR: "¿Por qué Tú has tratado a tu siervo tan mal? ¿Por qué no estás complacido conmigo? Tú haces que yo cargue todo este pueblo.

Y dijo Moisés á Jehová: ¿Por qué has hecho mal á tu siervo? ¿y por qué no he hallado gracia en tus ojos, que has puesto la carga de todo este pueblo sobre mí?

And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?

Moses said to the LORD, “Why have you treated your servant so badly? Why haven’t I found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people on me?

¿Acaso yo concebí a todas estas personas? ¿Les he dado a luz para que Tú me digas a mí, 'Cárgalos cerca de tu pecho como un padre carga a su bebé'? ¿Debería yo cargarlos a ellos a la tierra que Tú juraste a sus antepasados darles?

¿Concebí yo á todo este pueblo? ¿engendrélo yo, para que me digas: Llévalo en tu seno, como lleva la que cría al que mama, á la tierra de la cual juraste á sus padres?

Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?

Have I conceived all this people? Have I brought them out, that you should tell me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries a nursing infant, to the land which you swore to their fathers’?

¿Dónde puedo yo encontrar carne para darle a todas estas personas? Ellos están llorando frente a mí y están diciendo: 'Danos carne para comer.'

¿De dónde tengo yo carne para dar á todo este pueblo? porque lloran á mí, diciendo: Danos carne que comamos.

Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

Where could I get meat to give all these people? For they weep before me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’

Yo no puedo soportar a todas estas personas solo. Ellos son demasiado para mí.

No puedo yo solo soportar á todo este pueblo, que me es pesado en demasía.

I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.

Ya que me estás tratando de esta manera, mátame ahora, si eres bueno conmigo, y llévate mi miseria."

Y si así lo haces tú conmigo, yo te ruego que me des muerte, si he hallado gracia en tus ojos; y que yo no vea mi mal.

And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found favor in your sight; and don’t let me see my wretchedness.”

El SEÑOR le dijo a Moisés: "Tráeme setenta ancianos de Israel. Asegúrate que ellos sean ancianos y oficiales del pueblo. Tráelos a ellos a la tienda de reunión para pararse allí contigo.

Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: Júntame setenta varones de los ancianos de Israel, que tú sabes que son ancianos del pueblo y sus principales; y tráelos á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, y esperen allí contigo.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.

The LORD said to Moses, “Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; and bring them to the Tent of Meeting, that they may stand there with you.

Yo bajaré y hablaré contigo allí. Yo voy a tomar un poco del Espíritu que está en ti y lo pondré sobre ellos. Ellos van a cargar la carga del pueblo contigo. Tú no vas a tener que soportarla solo.

Y yo descenderé y hablaré allí contigo; y tomaré del espíritu que está en ti, y pondré en ellos; y llevarán contigo la carga del pueblo, y no la llevarás tú solo.

And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you don’t bear it yourself alone.

Dile al pueblo: 'Conságrense para mañana y ustedes comerán carne, pues ustedes han llorado y EL SEÑOR los ha escuchado. Usteden dijeron: '¿Quién nos dará a nosotros carne para comer? Fue bueno para nosotros estar en Egipto.' Por lo tanto, EL SEÑOR les dará a ustedes carne, y se la comerán.

Empero dirás al pueblo: Santificaos para mañana, y comeréis carne: pues que habéis llorado en oídos de Jehová, diciendo: ¡Quién nos diera á comer carne! ¡cierto mejor nos iba en Egipto! Jehová, pues, os dará carne, y comeréis.

And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

“Say to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, and you will eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat.

Ustedes no comerán carne por sólo un día, dos días, cinco días, diez días o veinte días,

No comeréis un día, ni dos días, ni cinco días, ni diez días, ni veinte días;

Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;

You will not eat just one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days,

sino que ustedes comerán carne por un mes entero hasta que se les salga por su nariz. Les va a dar asco porque ustedes han rechazado al SEÑOR, que está entre ustedes. Ustedes han llorado ante Él. Ustedes dijeron: '¿Por qué nos fuimos de Egipto?""

Sino hasta un mes de tiempo, hasta que os salga por las narices, y os sea en aborrecimiento: por cuanto menospreciasteis á Jehová que está en medio de vosotros, y llorasteis delante de él, diciendo: ¿Para qué salimos acá de Egipto?

But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

but a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it is loathsome to you; because you have rejected the LORD who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, “Why did we come out of Egypt?”’”

Luego Moisés dijo: "Yo estoy con 600, 000 personas, y Tú has dicho 'Yo voy a darle a ellos carne para comer por un mes entero.'

Entonces dijo Moisés: Seiscientos mil de á pie es el pueblo en medio del cual yo estoy; y tú dices: Les daré carne, y comerán el tiempo de un mes.

And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

Moses said, “The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month.’

¿Deberíamos nosotros matar rebaños y manadas para satisfacerlos a ellos? ¿Deberíamos nosotros atrapar todos los peces en el mar para satisfacerlos a ellos?"

¿Se han de degollar para ellos ovejas y bueyes que les basten? ¿ó se juntarán para ellos todos los peces de la mar para que tengan abasto?

Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?

Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?”

El SEÑOR le dijo a Moisés: "¿Acaso Mi mano es pequeña? Ahora ustedes van a ver si Mi palabra es verdad o no."

Entonces Jehová respondió á Moisés: ¿Hase acortado la mano de Jehová? ahora verás si te sucede mi dicho, ó no.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

The LORD said to Moses, “Has the LORD’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”

Moisés salió y le dijo al pueblo las palabras del SEÑOR. Reunió a setenta ancianos del pueblo y los puso alrededor de la tienda.

Y salió Moisés, y dijo al pueblo las palabras de Jehová: y juntó los setenta varones de los ancianos del pueblo, é hízolos estar alrededor del tabernáculo.

And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.

El SEÑOR bajó en una nube y habló a Moisés. El SEÑOR tomó un poco del Espíritu que estaba en Moisés y lo puso en los setenta ancianos. Cuando el Espíritu descansó en ellos, ellos profetizaron pero sólo en aquella ocasión y no otra vez.

Entonces Jehová descendió en la nube, y hablóle; y tomó del espíritu que estaba en él, y púsolo en los setenta varones ancianos; y fué que, cuando posó sobre ellos el espíritu, profetizaron, y no cesaron.

And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

The LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was on him, and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did so no more.

Dos hombres se quedaron en el campamento, llamados Eldad y Medad. El Espíritu también descansó en ellos. Sus nombres fueron escritos en la lista, pero ellos no habían salido de la tienda. Sin embargo, ellos profetizaron en el campamento.

Y habían quedado en el campo dos varones, llamado el uno Eldad y el otro Medad, sobre los cuales también reposó el espíritu: estaban estos entre los escritos, mas no habían salido al tabernáculo; y profetizaron en el campo.

But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

But two men remained in the camp. The name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the Spirit rested on them. They were of those who were written, but had not gone out to the Tent; and they prophesied in the camp.

Un hombre joven en el campamento corrió y le dijo a Moisés: "Eldad y Medad están profetizando en el campamento."

Y corrió un mozo, y dió aviso á Moisés, y dijo: Eldad y Medad profetizan en el campo.

And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

A young man ran, and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”

Josué hijo de Nun, el ayudante de Moisés, uno de sus hombres escogidos, dijo a Moisés: "Mi amo Moisés, deténlos a ellos."

Entonces respondió Josué hijo de Nun, ministro de Moisés, uno de sus mancebos, y dijo: Señor mío Moisés, impídelos.

And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his chosen men, answered, “My lord Moses, forbid them!”

Moisés le dijo a él: "¿Tienes celos por mi? ¡Yo desearía que todas las personas del SEÑOR fueran profetas y que Él pusiera Su Espíritu en todos ellos!"

Y Moisés le respondió: ¿Tienes tú celos por mí? mas ojalá que todo el pueblo de Jehová fuesen profetas, que Jehová pusiera su espíritu sobre ellos.

And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’s people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets, that the LORD would put his Spirit on them!”

Luego Moisés y los ancianos de Israel regresaron al campamento.

Y recogióse Moisés al campo, él y los ancianos de Israel.

And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

Moses went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

Luego un viento del SEÑOR vino y trajo codornices desde el mar. Cayeron cerca del campamento, un día de viaje en un lado y un día de viaje al otro lado. Las codornices rodearon el campamento casi un metro sobre la tierra.

Y salió un viento de Jehová, y trajo codornices de la mar, y dejólas sobre el real, un día de camino de la una parte, y un día de camino de la otra, en derredor del campo, y casi dos codos sobre la haz de la tierra.

And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.

A wind from the LORD went out and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and a day’s journey on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the earth.

El pueblo estuvo ocupado recogiendo las codornices todo aquel día, toda la noche y todo el día siguiente. Nadie reunió menos de diez homeres de codornices. Compartieron las codornices a través de todo el campamento.

Entonces el pueblo estuvo levantado todo aquel día, y toda la noche, y todo el día siguiente, y recogiéronse codornices: el que menos, recogió diez montones; y las tendieron para sí á lo largo en derredor del campo.

And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.

The people rose up all that day, and all of that night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails. He who gathered least gathered ten homers; and they spread them all out for themselves around the camp.

Mientras la carne estaba todavía entre sus dientes, mientras ellos estaban masticándola, EL SEÑOR se molestó con ellos. Atacó al pueblo con una gran enfermedad.

Aun estaba la carne entre los dientes de ellos, antes que fuese mascada, cuando el furor de Jehová se encendió en el pueblo, é hirió Jehová al pueblo con una muy grande plaga.

And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.

While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the LORD’s anger burned against the people, and the LORD struck the people with a very great plague.

Aquel lugar fue llamado Kibrot Hataava, porque allí ellos enterraron a las personas quienes habían deseado carne.

Y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Kibroth-hattaavah, por cuanto allí sepultaron al pueblo codicioso.

And he called the name of that place Kibroth-hattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.

The name of that place was called Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who lusted.

Desde Kibrot Hataava las personas viajaron hasta Hazerot, donde se quedaron.

De Kibroth-hattaavah movió el pueblo á Haseroth, y pararon en Haseroth.

And the people journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.

From Kibroth Hattaavah the people traveled to Hazeroth; and they stayed at Hazeroth.
