17sie weigerten sich vielmehr zu gehorchen und gedachten deiner Wunder nicht mehr, die du an ihnen getan hattest: sie wurden halsstarrig und setzten es sich in ihrer Widerspenstigkeit in den Kopf, nach Ägypten zu ihrem Sklavendienst zurückzukehren. Doch du bist ein Gott der Vergebung, gnädig und barmherzig, langmütig und reich an Güte: du hast sie nicht verlassen.

17And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
