1ES wohnten aber die Obersten des Volkes zu Jerusalem; das übrige Volk warf das Los, um je einen von zehn zur Niederlassung in Jerusalem, der heiligen Stadt, zu bestimmen, während die andern neun Zehntel in den (übrigen) Städten blieben.
2Und das Volk segnete alle die Männer, die freiwillig zu Jerusalem wohnen wollten.
3Folgendes sind die Häupter der Provinz, die zu Jerusalem und in den Städten Judas wohnten, ein jeder auf seinem Grundbesitz in ihren Stadtgebieten, die (gewöhnlichen) Israeliten, die Priester, die Leviten, die Tempelhörigen und die Nachkommen der Knechte Salomos.
4Zu Jerusalem wohnten sowohl Judäer als Benjaminiten. Von den Judäern: Athaja, der Sohn Usias, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Amarjas, des Sohnes Sephatjas, des Sohnes Mahalaleels, von den Nachkommen des Perez;
5ferner Maaseja, der Sohn Baruchs, des Sohnes Cholhoses, des Sohnes Hasajas, des Sohnes Adajas, des Sohnes Jojaribs, des Sohnes Sacharjas, von den Nachkommen Selas.
6Nachkommen des Perez, die zu Jerusalem wohnten, waren es insgesamt 468 wehrhafte Männer.
7Und dies sind die Benjaminiten: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Joeds, des Sohnes Pedajas, des Sohnes Kolajas, des Sohnes Maasejas, des Sohnes Ithiels, des Sohnes Jesajas,
8und seine Brüder, wehrhafte Krieger: 928.
9Joel aber, der Sohn Sichris, war ihr Vorgesetzter, und Juda, der Sohn Hassenuas, war zweiter Stadtoberster.
10Von den Priestern: Jedaja, der Sohn Jojaribs, Jachin,
11Seraja, der Sohn Hilkias, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitubs, des Fürsten im Gotteshaus,
12und ihre Brüder, die den Tempeldienst besorgten: 822; ferner Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, des Sohnes Pelaljas, des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Pashurs, des Sohnes Malchias,
13und seine Brüder, Familienhäupter: 242, und Amasai, der Sohn Asareels, des Sohnes Ahsais, des Sohnes Mesillemoths, des Sohnes Immers,
14und seine Brüder, wehrhafte Krieger: 128. Ihr Vorgesetzter war Sabdiel, der Sohn Haggedolims.
15Von den Leviten: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Bunnis,
16und Sabbethai und Josabad, Levitenhäupter, die über den äussern Dienst am Hause Gottes gesetzt waren,
17und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Asaphs, der Leiter des Lobgesangs, der beim Gebet die Danksagung anstimmte, und Bakbukja, der zweitoberste unter seinen Brüdern, und Abda, der Sohn Sammuas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns.
18Sämtliche Leviten in der heiligen Stadt beliefen sich auf 284,
19die Torhüter aber, Akkub, Talmon und ihre Brüder, die an den Toren Wache hielten, auf 172.
20Die übrigen Israeliten, Priester und Leviten wohnten in allen Städten Judas zerstreut, ein jeder in seinem Erbbesitz
21und die Tempelhörigen wohnten auf dem Ophel, und Ziha und Gispa waren ihnen vorgesetzt.
22Der Vorgesetzte der jerusalemischen Leviten aber war Ussi, der Sohn Banis, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Matthanjas, des Sohnes Michas, von den Nachkommen Asaphs, die beim Gottesdienst im Tempel sangen.
23Es bestand nämlich eine königliche Verordnung ihretwegen mit genauen Bestimmungen für die, die an den einzelnen Tagen zu singen hatten.
24Und Pethahja, der Sohn Mesesabeels, von den Nachkommen Serahs, des Sohnes Judas, stand dem König zur Verfügung für alle Angelegenheiten, die das Volk betrafen,
25und auf den Gehöften in ihren Landbezirken. Judäer wohnten in Kirjath-Arba und seinen Nebenorten, in Dibon und seinen Nebenorten, in Jekabzeel und seinen Gehöften, (1) V. 25 ist die unmittelbare Fortsetzung zu V. 20.
26in Jesua, in Molada, in Beth-Pelet,
27in Hazar-Sual, in Beerseba und seinen Nebenorten,
28in Ziklag, in Mechona und seinen Nebenorten,
29in En-Rimmon, in Zorea, in Jarmuth,
30Sanoah und Adullam und ihren Gehöften, in Lachis und seinen Landmarken, in Aseka und seinen Nebenorten. Sie liessen sich also von Beerseba bis zum Tale Hinnom nieder.
31Benjaminiten aber wohnten in Geba, Michmas, Aja und Bethel und seinen Nebenorten,
32in Anathoth, Nob, Ananja,
33Hazor, Rama, Gitthaim,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod und Ono im Tal der Zimmerleute.
36Von den Leviten aber kamen einige judäische Abteilungen ins Gebiet von Benjamin.

1Y HABITARON los príncipes del pueblo en Jerusalem; mas el resto del pueblo echó suertes para traer uno de diez que morase en Jerusalem, ciudad santa, y las nueve partes en las otras ciudades.
2Y bendijo el pueblo á todos los varones que voluntariamente se ofrecieron á morar en Jerusalem.
3Y estos son los principales de la provincia que moraron en Jerusalem; mas en las ciudades de Judá habitaron cada uno en su posesión en sus ciudades, de Israel, de los sacerdotes, y Levitas, y Nethineos, y de los hijos de los siervos de Salomón.
4En Jerusalem pues habitaron de los hijos de Judá, y de los hijos de Benjamín. De los hijos de Judá: Athaías hijo de Uzzías, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Amarías, hijo de Sephatías, hijo de Mahalaleel, de los hijos de Phares;

1And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
2And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
3Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
4And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
5And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
6All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.

18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
19Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
20And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
23For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
24And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
26And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Beth-phelet,
27And at Hazar-shual, and at Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,
28And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,

23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
24Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25As for the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26in Jeshua, in Moladah, Beth Pelet,
27in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its towns,
28in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,
29in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth,
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.
31The children of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns,
32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah settled in Benjamin’s territory.
