1Hierauf nahmen die Obersten des Volkes ihren Wohnsitz in Jerusalem; das übrige Volk aber bestimmte durch das Los je den zehnten Mann dazu, sich in der heiligen Stadt Jerusalem anzusiedeln, während die übrigen neun Zehntel in den Ortschaften (des Landes) wohnen bleiben sollten.
2Das Volk aber hieß alle Leute willkommen, die sich freiwillig zur Niederlassung in Jerusalem erboten.
3Und dies sind die Häupter des Bezirks, die sich in Jerusalem und in den Ortschaften Judas niedergelassen haben, und zwar ein jeder auf seinem Besitztum in den dortigen Ortschaften: die (gewöhnlichen) Israeliten, die Priester und die Leviten, die Tempelhörigen und die Nachkommen der Leibeigenen Salomos.
4In Jerusalem haben sich sowohl Judäer als auch Benjaminiten niedergelassen, und zwar von den Judäern: Athaja, der Sohn Ussijas, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Amarjas, des Sohnes Sephatjas, des Sohnes Mahalaleels, von den Nachkommen des Perez;
5ferner Maaseja, der Sohn Baruchs, des Sohnes Kol-Hoses, des Sohnes Hasajas, des Sohnes Adajas, des Sohnes Jojaribs, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes des Siloniten.
6Die Gesamtzahl der Nachkommen des Perez, die in Jerusalem wohnten, betrug 468, tüchtige Männer. –
7Und dies sind die Benjaminiten: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Joeds, des Sohnes Pedajas, des Sohnes Kolajas, des Sohnes Maasejas, des Sohnes Ithiels, des Sohnes Jesajas,
8und seine Genossen, wehrhafte Krieger, 928 an der Zahl. –
9Joel aber, der Sohn Sichris, war ihr Vorsteher; und Juda, der Sohn Hassenuas, war zweiter Aufseher über die Stadt. –
10Von den Priestern: Jedaja, der Sohn Jojaribs, Jachin,
11Seraja, der Sohn Hilkijas, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitubs, der Fürst über das Haus Gottes,
12und ihre Genossen, die den heiligen Dienst im Hause Gottes besorgten, 822 an Zahl; ferner Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, des Sohnes Pelaljas, des Sohnes Amzis, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Pashurs, des Sohnes Malkijas,
13und seine Genossen, 242, Familienhäupter; ferner Amassai, der Sohn Asareels, des Sohnes Ahsais, des Sohnes Mesillemoths, des Sohnes Immers,
14und ihre Genossen, tüchtige Männer, 128 an der Zahl; ihr Vorsteher war Sabdiel, der Sohn Haggedolims. –
15Ferner von den Leviten: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Bunnis;
16ferner Sabbethai und Josabad, welche die weltlichen Geschäfte des Gotteshauses zu besorgen hatten;
17und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Asaphs, der Leiter des Lobgesangs, der die Danksagung beim Gebet anstimmte; und Bakbukja, der zweite im Rang unter seinen Genossen, und Abda, der Sohn Sammuas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns.
18Die Gesamtzahl der Leviten in der heiligen Stadt betrug 284. –
19Die Torhüter aber waren: Akkub, Talmon und ihre Genossen, die an den Toren Wache hielten, 172 an der Zahl.
20Die übrigen Israeliten aber, Priester und Leviten, wohnten in allen Ortschaften Judas zerstreut, ein jeder in seinem Besitztum.
21Die Tempelhörigen aber wohnten auf dem Ophel; Ziha und Gispa waren die Aufseher über die Tempelhörigen. –
22Der Vorsteher der Leviten in Jerusalem war Ussi, der Sohn Banis, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Matthanjas, des Sohnes Michas, einer von den Nachkommen Asaphs, den Sängern für den Dienst im Hause Gottes;
23es lag nämlich eine königliche Verfügung in bezug auf sie vor und eine Verordnung für die Sänger bezüglich ihrer täglichen Amtsleistungen.
24Pethahja aber, der Sohn Mesesabeels, aus der Zahl der Nachkommen Serahs, des Sohnes Judas, war der königliche Beamte für alle Angelegenheiten, die das Volk betrafen,
25und für die Dörfer auf ihren Feldmarken. Von den Judäern wohnte ein Teil in Kirjath-Arba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften sowie in Dibon nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften und in Jekabzeel nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften;
26ferner in Jesua, Molada, Beth-Pelet,
27in Hazar-Sual und Beerseba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,
28in Ziklag und Mechona nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,
29in En-Rimmon, Zora, Jarmuth,
30Sanoah, Adullam nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften, Lachis und dessen Feldmarken und in Aseka nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften; sie hatten sich also von Beerseba bis zum Tal Hinnom angesiedelt.
31Die Benjaminiten aber wohnten von Geba an in Michmas, Ajja und Bethel nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,
32in Anathoth, Nob, Ananja,
33Hazor, Rama, Hitthaim,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod und Ono (und) im Tal der Zimmerleute.
36Von den Leviten aber gehörten einige judäische Abteilungen zu Benjamin.

1Y HABITARON los príncipes del pueblo en Jerusalem; mas el resto del pueblo echó suertes para traer uno de diez que morase en Jerusalem, ciudad santa, y las nueve partes en las otras ciudades.
2Y bendijo el pueblo á todos los varones que voluntariamente se ofrecieron á morar en Jerusalem.
3Y estos son los principales de la provincia que moraron en Jerusalem; mas en las ciudades de Judá habitaron cada uno en su posesión en sus ciudades, de Israel, de los sacerdotes, y Levitas, y Nethineos, y de los hijos de los siervos de Salomón.
4En Jerusalem pues habitaron de los hijos de Judá, y de los hijos de Benjamín. De los hijos de Judá: Athaías hijo de Uzzías, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Amarías, hijo de Sephatías, hijo de Mahalaleel, de los hijos de Phares;
5Y Maasías hijo de Baruch, hijo de Colhoze, hijo de Hazaías, hijo de Adaías, hijo de Joiarib, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Siloni.
6Todos los hijos de Phares que moraron en Jerusalem, fueron cuatrocientos setenta y ocho hombres fuertes.

1And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
2And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
3Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
4And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
5And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
6All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.

18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
19Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
20And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
23For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
24And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
26And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Beth-phelet,
27And at Hazar-shual, and at Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,

23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
24Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25As for the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26in Jeshua, in Moladah, Beth Pelet,
27in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its towns,
28in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,
29in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth,
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.
31The children of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns,
32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah settled in Benjamin’s territory.
