1Les chefs du peuple s'établirent à Jérusalem. Le reste du peuple tira au sort, pour qu'un sur dix vînt habiter Jérusalem, la ville sainte, les neuf autres parties restant dans les autres villes.
2Le peuple bénit tous ceux qui se décidèrent d'eux-mêmes à résider à Jérusalem.
3Voici les chefs de famille de la province qui s'établirent à Jérusalem. Dans les villes de Juda, chacun s'établit dans sa propriété, dans sa ville : Israël, les prêtres et les lévites, les Nathinéens et les fils des serviteurs de Salomon :
4A Jérusalem s'établirent des fils de Juda et des fils de Benjamin. — Des fils de Juda : Athaïas, fils d'Aziam, fils de Zacharie, fils d'Amarias, fils de Saphatias, fils de Malaléel, des fils de Pharès ;
5et Maasias, fils de Baruch, fils de Cholhoza, fils de Hazias, fils d'Adaïas, fils de Joïarib, fils de Zacharie, fils de Séla.
6Total des fils de Pharès qui s'établirent à Jérusalem : quatre cent soixante-huit hommes vaillants.
7— Voici les fils de Benjamin : Sellum, fils de Mosollam, fils de Joëd, fils de Phadaïas, fils de Colaïas, fils de Maasias, fils d'Ethéel, fils d'Isaïe,
8et après lui Gebbaï-Sellaï : neuf cent vingt-huit.
9Joël, fils de Zéchri, était leur chef, et Juda, fils de Sénua, était le second chef de la ville.
10Des prêtres : Idaïas, fils de Joïarib, Jachin,
11Saraïas, fils de Helcias, fils de Mosollam, fils de Sadoc, fils de Méraïoth, fils d'Achitob, prince de la maison de Dieu,
12et leurs frères qui faisaient le travail dans la maison : huit cent vingt-deux ; Adaïas, fils de Jéroham, fils de Phéléias, fils d'Amsi, fils de Zacharie, fils de Phashur, fils de Melchias,
13et ses frères, chefs de famille : deux cent quarante-deux ; et Amassaï, fils d'Azréel, fils d'Ahazi, fils de Mosollamoth, fils d'Emmer,
14et leurs frères, hommes vaillants : cent vingt-huit. Zabdiel, fils de Hagdolim, était leur chef.
15Des lévites : Séméïas, fils de Hasub, fils d'Azaricam, fils de Hasabias, fils de Boni ;
16Sabathaï et Jozabed, chargés des affaires extérieures de la maison de Dieu, du nombre des chefs des lévites ;
17Mathanias, fils de Micha, fils de Zébédéi, fils d'Asaph, le chef qui entonnait le chant de louange à la prière ; Becbécias, le second parmi ses frères, et Abda, fils de Samua, fils de Galal, fils d'Idithun.
18Total des lévites dans la ville sainte : deux cent quatre-vingt-quatre.
19Et les portiers : Accub, Telmon et leurs frères, gardiens des portes : cent soixante-douze.
20Le reste d'Israël, les prêtres, les lévites, étaient dans toutes les autres villes de Juda, chacun dans sa propriété.
21Les Nathinéens, s'établirent dans le quartier d'Ophel ; Siha et Gaspha étaient préposés aux Nathinéens.
22Le chef des lévites à Jérusalem était Azzi, fils de Bani, fils de Hasabias, fils de Mathanias, fils de Micha, d'entre les fils d'Asaph, les chantres chargés du service de la maison de Dieu.
23Car il y avait une ordonnance du roi à leur sujet, et un salaire déterminé était accordé aux chantres pour chaque jour.
24Phathahias, fils de Mésézébel, d'entre les fils de Zara, fils de Juda, était commissaire du roi pour toutes les affaires du peuple.
25Quant aux villages et à leurs territoires, des fils de Juda s'établirent : à Cariath-Arbé et dans les villes de sa dépendance, à Dibon et dans les villes de sa dépendance, à Cabséel et dans ses villages,
26à Jésué, à Molada, à Beth-Phalet,
27à Hasersual, à Bersabée et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
28à Siceleg, à Mochona, et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
29à En-Remmon, à Saraa, à Jérimuth,
30à Zanoé, à Odollam et dans leurs villages, à Lachis et dans son territoire, à Azéca et dans les villes de sa dépendance. Ils s'établirent depuis Bersabée jusqu'à la vallée d'Ennom.
31Des fils de Benjamin s'établirent depuis Geba, à Machmas, à Haï, à Béthel et dans les villes de sa dépendance,
32à Anathoth, à Nob, à Anania,
33à Asor, à Rama, à Géthaïm,
34à Hadid, à Séboïm, à Néballat,
35à Lod et à Ono, dans la Vallée des Ouvriers.
36Il y eut, parmi les lévites, des classes appartenant à Juda qui se joignirent à Benjamin.

1Y HABITARON los príncipes del pueblo en Jerusalem; mas el resto del pueblo echó suertes para traer uno de diez que morase en Jerusalem, ciudad santa, y las nueve partes en las otras ciudades.
2Y bendijo el pueblo á todos los varones que voluntariamente se ofrecieron á morar en Jerusalem.
3Y estos son los principales de la provincia que moraron en Jerusalem; mas en las ciudades de Judá habitaron cada uno en su posesión en sus ciudades, de Israel, de los sacerdotes, y Levitas, y Nethineos, y de los hijos de los siervos de Salomón.
4En Jerusalem pues habitaron de los hijos de Judá, y de los hijos de Benjamín. De los hijos de Judá: Athaías hijo de Uzzías, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Amarías, hijo de Sephatías, hijo de Mahalaleel, de los hijos de Phares;
5Y Maasías hijo de Baruch, hijo de Colhoze, hijo de Hazaías, hijo de Adaías, hijo de Joiarib, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Siloni.
6Todos los hijos de Phares que moraron en Jerusalem, fueron cuatrocientos setenta y ocho hombres fuertes.

1And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
2And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
3Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
4And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
5And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
6All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
7And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.

12And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,
13And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
14And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.
15Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
16And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
17And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
19Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
20And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
23For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
24And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
26And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Beth-phelet,
27And at Hazar-shual, and at Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,
28And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
29And at En-rimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,

22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers responsible for the service of God’s house.
23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
24Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25As for the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26in Jeshua, in Moladah, Beth Pelet,
27in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its towns,
28in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,
29in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth,
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.
31The children of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns,
32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah settled in Benjamin’s territory.
