1Aber die Tore an den Wassern werden doch geöffnet, und der Palast wird untergehen.
2Die Königin wird gefangen weggeführet werden; und ihre Jungfrauen werden seufzen wie die Tauben und an ihre Brust schlagen.
3Denn Ninive ist wie ein Teich voll Wassers; aber dasselbige wird verfließen müssen. Stehet, stehet! (werden sie rufen); aber da wird sich niemand umwenden.
4So raubet nun Silber, raubet Gold! Denn hie ist der Schätze kein Ende und die Menge aller köstlichen Kleinode.
5Aber nun muß sie rein abgelesen und geplündert werden, daß ihr Herz muß verzagen, die Kniee schlottern, alle Lenden zittern, und aller Angesicht bleich sehen, wie ein Topf.
6Wo ist nun die Wohnung der Löwen und die Weide der jungen Löwen, da der Löwe und die Löwin mit den jungen Löwen wandelten, und niemand durfte sie scheuchen?
7Sondern der Löwe raubete genug für seine Jungen und würgete es seinen Löwinnen; seine Höhlen füllete er mit Raub und seine Wohnung mit dem, das er zerrissen hatte.
8Siehe, ich will an dich, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und deine Wagen im Rauch anzünden; und das Schwert soll deine jungen Löwen fressen; und will deines Raubens ein Ende machen auf Erden, daß man deiner Boten Stimme nicht mehr hören soll.
9Wehe der mörderischen Stadt, die voll Lügen und Räuberei ist und von ihrem Rauben nicht lassen will!
10Denn da wird man hören die Geißeln klappen und die Räder rasseln und die Rosse schreien und die Wagen rollen.
11Er bringet Reiter herauf mit glänzenden Schwertern und mit blitzenden Spießen. Da liegen viel Erschlagene und große Haufen Leichname, daß derselbigen keine Zahl ist und man über ihre Leichname fallen muß.
12Das alles um der großen Hurerei willen der schönen lieben Hure, die mit Zauberei umgehet, die mit ihrer Hurerei die Heiden und mit ihrer Zauberei Land und Leute erworben hat.
13Siehe, ich will an dich, spricht der HERR Zebaoth! Ich will dir dein Gebräme aufdecken unter dein Angesicht und will den Heiden deine Blöße und den Königreichen deine Schande zeigen.

1SUBIÓ destruidor contra ti: guarda la fortaleza, mira el camino, fortifica los lomos, fortalece mucho la fuerza.
2Porque Jehová restituirá la gloria de Jacob como la gloria de Israel; porque vaciadores los vaciaron, y estropearon sus mugrones.
3El escudo de sus valientes será bermejo, los varones de su ejército vestidos de grana: el carro como fuego de hachas; el día que se aparejará, temblarán las hayas.
4Los carros se precipitarán á las plazas, discurrirán por las calles: su aspecto como hachas encendidas; correrán como relámpagos.
5Acordaráse él de sus valientes; andando tropezarán; se apresurarán á su muro, y la cubierta se aparejará.
6Las puertas de los ríos se abrirán, y el palacio será destruído.
7Y la reina fué cautiva; mandarle han que suba, y sus criadas la llevarán gimiendo como palomas, batiendo sus pechos.
8Y fué Nínive de tiempo antiguo como estanque de aguas; mas ellos huyen: Parad, parad; y ninguno mira.
9Saquead plata, saquead oro: no hay fin de las riquezas y suntuosidad de todo ajuar de codicia.
10Vacía, y agotada, y despedazada está, y el corazón derretido: batimiento de rodillas, y dolor en todos riñones, y los rostros de todos tomarán negrura.
11¿Qué es de la morada de los leones, y de la majada de los cachorros de los leones, donde se recogía el león, y la leona, y los cachorros del león, y no había quien les pusiese miedo?
12El león arrebataba en abundancia para sus cachorros, y ahogaba para sus leonas, y henchía de presa sus cavernas, y de robo sus moradas.
13Heme aquí contra ti, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Encenderé y reduciré á humo tus carros, y espada devorará tus leoncillos; y raeré de la tierra tu robo, y nunca más se oirá voz de tus embajadores.

1He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
3The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
4The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
5He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
6The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
7And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
8But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
9Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
10She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
11Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?
12The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

1He who dashes in pieces has come up against you. Keep the fortress! Watch the way! Strengthen your waist! Fortify your power mightily!
2For the LORD restores the excellency of Jacob as the excellency of Israel, for the destroyers have destroyed them and ruined their vine branches.
3The shield of his mighty men is made red. The valiant men are in scarlet. The chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the pine spears are brandished.
4The chariots rage in the streets. They rush back and forth in the wide ways. Their appearance is like torches. They run like the lightnings.
5He summons his picked troops. They stumble on their way. They dash to its wall, and the protective shield is put in place.
6The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.
7It is decreed: she is uncovered, she is carried away; and her servants moan as with the voice of doves, beating on their breasts.
8But Nineveh has been from of old like a pool of water, yet they flee away. “Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one looks back.
9Take the plunder of silver. Take the plunder of gold, for there is no end of treasure, an abundance of every precious thing.
10She is empty, void, and waste. The heart melts, the knees knock together, their bodies and faces have grown pale.
11Where is the den of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, where the lion and the lioness walked with the lion’s cubs, and no one made them afraid?
12The lion tore in pieces enough for his cubs, and strangled prey for his lionesses, and filled his caves with the kill and his dens with prey.
13“Behold, I am against you,” says the LORD of Armies, “and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions; and I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
