Selon ce qui est écrit dans le prophète Isaïe : « Voici que j’envoie mon messager devant toi, pour te frayer ton chemin.

Como está escrito en Isaías el profeta: He aquí yo envío á mi mensajero delante de tu faz, que apareje tu camino delante de ti.

As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:

Une voix crie dans le désert : Préparez le chemin du Seigneur, aplanissez ses sentiers. »

Voz del que clama en el desierto: Aparejad el camino del Señor; enderezad sus veredas.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Jean parut, baptisant dans le désert, et prêchant le baptême de pénitence pour la rémission des péchés.

Bautizaba Juan en el desierto, y predicaba el bautismo del arrepentimiento para remisión de pecados.

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

Et tout le pays de Judée et tous les habitants de Jérusalem venaient à lui, et, confessant leurs péchés, ils recevaient de lui le baptême dans le fleuve du Jourdain.

Y salía á él toda la provincia de Judea, y los de Jerusalem; y eran todos bautizados por él en el río de Jordán, confesando sus pecados.

And there went out unto him all the land of Judæa, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

Or, Jean était vêtu de poils de chameau ; et avait autour de ses reins une ceinture de cuir, et se nourrissait de sauterelles et de miel sauvage.

Y Juan andaba vestido de pelos de camello, y con un cinto de cuero alrededor de sus lomos; y comía langostas y miel silvestre.

And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

Et il prêchait en disant : « Il vient après moi, celui qui est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de délier, en me baissant, les cordons de sa chaussure.

Y predicaba, diciendo: Viene tras mí el que es más poderoso que yo, al cual no soy digno de desatar encorvado la correa de sus zapatos.

And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

Moi, je vous ai baptisés dans l’eau, mais lui vous baptisera dans le Saint-Esprit. »

Yo á la verdad os he bautizado con agua; mas él os bautizará con Espíritu Santo.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”

Or, il arriva en ces jours-là que Jésus vint de Nazareth, ville de Galilée, et il fut baptisé par Jean dans le Jourdain.

Y aconteció en aquellos días, que Jesús vino de Nazaret de Galilea, y fué bautizado por Juan en el Jordán.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

Et aussitôt, comme il sortait de l’eau, il vit les cieux se déchirer et l’Esprit descendre sur lui comme une colombe.

Y luego, subiendo del agua, vió abrirse los cielos, y al Espíritu como paloma, que descendía sobre él.

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

Et du ciel vint une voix qui se fit entendre : « Tu es mon Fils bien-aimé, en toi je me complais. »

Y hubo una voz de los cielos que decía: Tú eres mi Hijo amado; en ti tomo contentamiento.

And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Et aussitôt l’Esprit le poussa au désert.

Y luego el Espíritu le impele al desierto.

And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

Et il était dans le désert quarante jours, tenté par Satan ; et il était parmi les bêtes sauvages, et les anges le servaient..

Y estuvo allí en el desierto cuarenta días, y era tentado de Satanás; y estaba con las fieras; y los ángeles le servían.

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

Après que Jean eut été mis en prison, Jésus vint en Galilée, prêchant l’Évangile du royaume de Dieu.

Mas después que Juan fué encarcelado, Jesús vino á Galilea predicando el evangelio del reino de Dios,

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,

Et il disait : « Le temps est accompli, et le royaume de Dieu est proche ; repentez-vous et croyez à l’Évangile. »

Y diciendo: El tiempo es cumplido, y el reino de Dios está cerca: arrepentíos, y creed al evangelio.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

Alors qu’il passait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit Simon et André son frère qui jetaient leurs filets dans la mer, car ils étaient pêcheurs.

Y pasando junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á Simón, y á Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

Et Jésus leur dit : « Venez à ma suite, et je vous ferai devenir pêcheurs d’hommes. »

Y les dijo Jesús: Venid en pos de mí, y haré que seáis pescadores de hombres.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

Et aussitôt, laissant leurs filets, ils le suivirent.

Y luego, dejadas sus redes, le siguieron.

And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.

Et avançant un peu, il vit Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean son frère, qui étaient, eux aussi, dans une barque, réparant leurs filets.

Y pasando de allí un poco más adelante, vió á Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y á Juan su hermano, también ellos en el navío, que aderezaban las redes.

And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

Et il les appela aussitôt ; et, laissant leur père Zébédée dans la barque avec les employés, ils partirent à sa suite.

Y luego los llamó: y dejando á su padre Zebedeo en el barco con los jornaleros, fueron en pos de él.

And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

Et ils entrèrent à Capharnaüm, et dès le jour du sabbat, entrant dans la synagogue, il se mit à enseigner.

Y entraron en Capernaum; y luego los sábados, entrando en la sinagoga, enseñaba.

And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.

Et ils étaient frappés de sa doctrine, car il les enseignait comme ayant autorité, et non comme les scribes.

Y se admiraban de su doctrina; porque les enseñaba como quien tiene potestad, y no como los escribas.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

Et aussitôt il se trouva dans leur synagogue un homme possédé d’un esprit impur, qui s’écria

Y había en la sinagoga de ellos un hombre con espíritu inmundo, el cual dió voces,

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

en disant : « Qu’avons-nous à faire avec toi, Jésus de Nazareth ? Tu es venu pour nous perdre ! Je sais qui tu es, le Saint de Dieu. »

Diciendo: ¡Ah! ¿qué tienes con nosotros, Jesús Nazareno? ¿Has venido á destruirnos? Sé quién eres, el Santo de Dios.

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”

Mais Jésus, le menaçant : « Tais-toi, dit-il, et sors de cet homme. »

Y Jesús le riñó, diciendo: Enmudece, y sal de él.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

Et l’esprit impur, l’agitant violemment, sortit de lui en jetant un grand cri.

Y el espíritu inmundo, haciéndole pedazos, y clamando á gran voz, salió de él.

And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

Et tous furent saisis d’étonnement, de sorte qu’ils se demandaient entre eux en disant : « Qu’est-ce que ceci ? Quelle est cette doctrine nouvelle ? Car il commande avec autorité, même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent. »

Y todos se maravillaron, de tal manera que inquirían entre sí, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto? ¿Qué nueva doctrina es ésta, que con potestad aun á los espíritus inmundos manda, y le obedecen?

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What can this new doctrine be? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”

Et sa renommée se répandit aussitôt partout, dans tout le pays qui avoisine la Galilée.

Y vino luego su fama por toda la provincia alrededor de Galilea.

And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

The report of him went out immediately into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

Et aussitôt, sortant de la synagogue, ils allèrent dans la maison de Simon et d’André, avec Jacques et Jean.

Y luego saliendo de la sinagoga, vinieron á casa de Simón y de Andrés, con Jacobo y Juan.

And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Or, la belle-mère de Simon était au lit, ayant la fièvre ; et aussitôt ils lui parlèrent à son sujet.

Y la suegra de Simón estaba acostada con calentura; y le hablaron luego de ella.

But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

Et s’approchant, il la fit lever, en la prenant par la main ; et aussitôt la fièvre la quitta, et elle se mit à les servir.

Entonces llegando él, la tomó de su mano y la levantó; y luego la dejó la calentura, y les servía.

And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.

Sur le soir, lorsque le soleil fut couché, on se mit à lui amener tous ceux qui étaient malades et les démoniaques,

Y cuando fué la tarde, luego que el sol se puso, traían á él todos los que tenían mal, y endemoniados;

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.

et toute la ville était rassemblée devant la porte.

Y toda la ciudad se juntó á la puerta.

And all the city was gathered together at the door.

All the city was gathered together at the door.

Et il guérit beaucoup de malades affligés de diverses infirmités, et il chassa beaucoup de démons ;et il ne leur permettait pas de parler, parce qu’ils le connaissaient.

Y sanó á muchos que estaban enfermos de diversas enfermedades, y echó fuera muchos demonios; y no dejaba decir á los demonios que le conocían.

And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

Et au petit matin, alors qu’il faisait encore grandement nuit, il se leva, sortit, et s’en alla dans un lieu solitaire, et il y pria.

Y levantándose muy de mañana, aun muy de noche, salió y se fué á un lugar desierto, y allí oraba.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.

Et Simon et ceux qui étaient avec lui le recherchèrent ;

Y le siguió Simón, y los que estaban con él;

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

Simon and those who were with him searched for him.

et l’ayant trouvé, ils lui dirent : « Tout le monde te cherche. »

Y hallándole, le dicen: Todos te buscan.

And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

Il leur répondit : « Allons ailleurs dans les bourgades voisines, afin que j’y prêche aussi ; car c’est pour cela que je suis sorti. »

Y les dice: Vamos á los lugares vecinos, para que predique también allí; porque para esto he venido.

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”

Et il prêchait dans leurs synagogues, parcourant la Galilée entière, et chassait les démons.

Y predicaba en las sinagogas de ellos en toda Galilea, y echaba fuera los demonios.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

Un lépreux vint à lui, et se jetant à genoux, il lui dit d’un ton suppliant : « Si tu le veux, tu peux me purifier. »

Y un leproso vino á él, rogándole; é hincada la rodilla, le dice: Si quieres, puedes limpiarme.

And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”

Ému de compassion, Jésus étendit la main, le toucha, en disant : « Je le veux, sois purifié. »

Y Jesús, teniendo misericordia de él, extendió su mano, y le tocó, y le dice: Quiero, sé limpio.

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”

Et aussitôt qu’il eut parlé, la lèpre le quitta, et il fut purifié.

Y así que hubo él hablado, la lepra se fué luego de aquél, y fué limpio.

And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.

Jésus en le sermonnant le renvoya aussitôt,

Entonces le apercibió, y despidióle luego,

And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,

et lui dit : « Garde-toi d’en parler à personne ; mais va te montrer au prêtre, et offre pour ta purification ce que Moïse a ordonné pour leur servir de témoignage. »

Y le dice: Mira, no digas á nadie nada; sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu limpieza lo que Moisés mandó, para testimonio á ellos.

And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

Mais cet homme étant parti, se mit à raconter et à publier partout ce qui s’était passé : de sorte que Jésus ne pouvait plus entrer publiquement dans une ville ; il se tenait dehors, dans des lieux solitaires, et l’on venait à lui de tous côtés.

Mas él salido, comenzó á publicarlo mucho, y á divulgar el hecho, de manera que ya Jesús no podía entrar manifiestamente en la ciudad, sino que estaba fuera en los lugares desiertos; y venían á él de todas partes.

But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
