1Und er fieng an zu ihnen in Gleichnissen zu reden: Ein Mensch pflanzte einen Weinberg, und setzte einen Zaun herum und grub eine Kelter und baute einen Thurm und verdingte ihn an Weingärtner und zog außer Lands.
2Und er sandte an die Weingärtner zur Zeit einen Knecht, um bei den Weingärtnern vom Ertrag des Weinbergs zu holen.
3Und sie nahmen ihn und schlugen ihn und sandten ihn leer zurück.
4Und abermals sandte er an sie einen andern Knecht, und den schlugen sie auf den Kopf und beschimpften ihn.
5Und er sandte einen anderen und sie töteten ihn. Und viele andere, die einen schlugen sie, die anderen töteten sie.
6Noch hatte er einen einzigen geliebten Sohn, den sandte er zuletzt zu ihnen und sagte: vor meinem Sohn werden sie sich scheuen.
7Jene Weingärtner aber sprachen unter sich: das ist der Erbe; kommt, lasset uns ihn töten, so wird das Erbe unser sein.
8Und sie nahmen ihn und töteten ihn und warfen ihn zum Weinberg hinaus.
9Was wird der Herr des Weinbergs thun? kommen wird er und die Weingärtner umbringen und den Weinberg anderen geben.
10Habt ihr auch die Schrift nicht gelesen, wo es heißt: Der Stein, den die Bauleute verwarfen, der ist zum Eckstein geworden.
11Vom Herrn ist er gekommen, und wunderbar ist er in unseren Augen!
12Und sie trachteten ihn zu greifen, und fürchteten die Menge. Denn sie erkannten, daß er das Gleichnis auf sie gesagt. Und sie ließen ab von ihm, und giengen davon.
13Und sie senden zu ihm einige von den Pharisäern und den Herodianern, ihn mit einem Worte zu fangen.
14Und sie kamen und sagen zu ihm: Meister, wir wissen, daß du wahrhaft bist, und kümmerst dich um niemand; denn du siehst keine Person an, sondern du lehrst nach der Wahrheit den Weg Gottes. Ist es erlaubt, dem Kaiser Steuer zu geben oder nicht? Sollen wir sie geben oder nicht?
15Er aber, da er ihre Verstellung kannte, sagte zu ihnen: was versucht ihr mich? reichet mir einen Denar zum ansehen.
16Sie aber reichten ihn, und er sagt zu ihnen: wessen ist dieses Bild und die Aufschrift? Sie aber sagten zu ihm: des Kaisers.
17Jesus aber sagte: was des Kaisers ist, gebt dem Kaiser, und was Gottes ist, Gott. Und sie verwunderten sich über ihn.
18Und es kamen Sadducäer zu ihm, die da sagen, es gebe keine Auferstehung, und befragten ihn:
19Meister, Moses hat uns vorgeschrieben: wenn einem sein Bruder stirbt und eine Frau hinterläßt, aber kein Kind zurück läßt, so soll sein Bruder die Frau nehmen, und seinem Bruder Samen erwecken.
20Es waren da sieben Brüder; und der erste nahm eine Frau, und als er starb, ließ er keinen Samen zurück.
21Und der zweite nahm sie, und starb ohne Samen zu hinterlassen, und der dritte ebenso.
22Und die sieben ließen keinen Samen zurück. Zuletzt von allen starb auch die Frau.
23In der Auferstehung - wem von ihnen wird die Frau gehören? Haben sie ja doch sieben zur Frau gehabt.
24Sagte Jesus zu ihnen: seid ihr nicht deshalb im Irrtum, weil ihr die Schriften nicht verstehet noch die Macht Gottes?
25Denn wenn sie von den Toten auferstehen, freien sie weder noch lassen sie sich freien, sondern sie sind wie Engel in den Himmeln.
26Was aber das betrifft, daß die Toten auferweckt werden: habt ihr nicht in Moses Buch gelesen, beim Dornbusch, wie Gott zu ihm sagte: Ich bin der Gott Abrahams, und der Gott Isaaks, und der Gott Jakobs?
27Gott ist nicht ein Gott von Toten, sondern von Lebendigen. Ihr steckt tief im Irrtum.
28Und es kam einer von den Schriftgelehrten herzu, der ihrem Streiten zugehört hatte, und da er wußte, daß er ihnen gut geantwortet hatte, befragte er ihn: Welches Gebot ist das allererste?
29Antwortete Jesus: das erste ist: Höre Israel, der Herr unser Gott ist ein einiger Herr.
30Und du sollst lieben den Herr deinen Gott aus deinem ganzen Herzen, und aus deiner ganzen Seele und aus deinem ganzen Gemüte, und aus deiner ganzen Kraft.
31Das zweite ist dieses: du sollst lieben deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst. Ein anderes Gebot das größer wäre als diese giebt es sonst nicht.
32Und der Schriftgelehrte sagte zu ihm: recht, Meister, hast du nach der Wahrheit gesagt, daß einer ist und kein anderer außer ihm.
33Und das ihn lieben aus ganzem Herzen und aus ganzem Denken und aus ganzer Kraft, und das den Nächsten lieben wie sich selbst, ist viel mehr als alle Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer.
34Und Jesus, wie er an ihm sah, daß er verständig antwortete, sagte zu ihm: du bist nicht fern vom Reich Gottes. Und niemand wagte ihn weiter zu befragen.
35Und Jesus hob an und sagte beim Lehren im Tempel: wie können die Schriftgelehrten sagen, daß der Christus Davids Sohn sei?
36Hat doch David selbst im heiligen Geist gesagt: Der Herr sprach zu meinem Herrn: setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich lege deine Feinde unter deine Füße.
37David selbst nennt ihn Herr: woher ist er denn sein Sohn? Und die große Menge hörte ihm mit Lust zu.
38Und er sagte in seiner Lehre: hütet euch vor den Schriftgelehrten, welche darauf aus sind, im Talar herumzugehen, und auf die Begrüßungen an öffentlichen Plätzen,
39und auf die Vordersitze in den Synagogen und die ersten Plätze bei den Gastmählern;
40welche die Häuser der Witwen aussaugen, und verrichten lange Gebete zum Scheine: die werden nur um so schwerer ins Gericht kommen.
41Und er setzte sich dem Schatzkasten gegenüber und schaute zu, wie die Menge Münze in den Kasten einlegte. Und viele Reiche legten viel ein;
42und es kam eine arme Witwe und legte zwei Pfennige ein, das macht einen Quadranten.
43Und er rief seine Jünger herbei und sagte zu ihnen: wahrlich, ich sage euch, diese arme Witwe hat mehr eingelegt, als alle, die in den Schatzkasten einlegten.
44Denn alle haben aus ihrem Ueberfluß eingelegt; sie aber hat aus ihrem Mangel eingelegt, alles was sie hatte, ihr ganzes Vermögen.

1Y COMENZÓ á hablarles por parábolas: Plantó un hombre una viña, y la cercó con seto, y cavó un lagar, y edificó una torre, y la arrendó á labradores, y se partió lejos.
2Y envió un siervo á los labradores, al tiempo, para que tomase de los labradores del fruto de la viña.
3Mas ellos, tomándole, le hirieron, y le enviaron vacío.
4Y volvió á enviarles otro siervo; mas apedreándole, le hirieron en la cabeza, y volvieron á enviarle afrentado.
5Y volvió á enviar otro, y á aquél mataron; y á otros muchos, hiriendo á unos y matando á otros.
6Teniendo pues aún un hijo suyo amado, enviólo también á ellos el postrero, diciendo: Tendrán en reverencia á mi hijo.
7Mas aquellos labradores dijeron entre sí: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle, y la heredad será nuestra.
8Y prendiéndole, le mataron, y echaron fuera de la viña.
9¿Qué, pues, hará el señor de la viña? Vendrá, y destruirá á estos labradores, y dará su viña á otros.
10¿Ni aun esta Escritura habéis leído: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, ésta es puesta por cabeza de esquina;
11Por el Señor es hecho esto, y es cosa maravillosa en nuestros ojos?
12Y procuraban prenderle, porque entendían que decía á ellos aquella parábola; mas temían á la multitud; y dejándole, se fueron.
13Y envían á él algunos de los Fariseos y de los Herodianos, para que le sorprendiesen en alguna palabra.
14Y viniendo ellos, le dicen: Maestro, sabemos que eres hombre de verdad, y que no te cuidas de nadie; porque no miras á la apariencia de hombres, antes con verdad enseñas el camino de Dios: ¿Es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no? ¿Daremos, ó no daremos?
15Entonces él, como entendía la hipocresía de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis? Traedme la moneda para que la vea.
16Y ellos se la trajeron y les dice: ¿Cúya es esta imagen y esta inscripción? Y ellos le dijeron: De César.
17Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Dad lo que es de César á César; y lo que es de Dios, á Dios. Y se maravillaron de ello.
18Entonces vienen á él los Saduceos, que dicen que no hay resurrección, y le preguntaron, diciendo:
19Maestro, Moisés nos escribió, que si el hermano de alguno muriese, y dejase mujer, y no dejase hijos, que su hermano tome su mujer, y levante linaje á su hermano.
20Fueron siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y muriendo, no dejó simiente;
21Y la tomó el segundo, y murió, y ni aquél tampoco dejó simiente; y el tercero, de la misma manera.
22Y la tomaron los siete, y tampoco dejaron simiente: á la postre murió también la mujer.
23En la resurrección, pues, cuando resucitaren, ¿de cuál de ellos será mujer? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.
24Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dice: ¿No erráis por eso, porque no sabéis las Escrituras, ni la potencia de Dios?
25Porque cuando resucitarán de los muertos, ni se casarán, ni serán dados en casamiento, mas son como los ángeles que están en los cielos.
26Y de que los muertos hayan de resucitar, ¿no habéis leído en el libro de Moisés cómo le habló Dios en la zarza, diciendo: Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob?
27No es Dios de muertos, mas Dios de vivos; así que vosotros mucho erráis.
28Y llegándose uno de los escribas, que los había oído disputar, y sabía que les había respondido bien, le preguntó: ¿Cuál es el primer mandamiento de todos?
29Y Jesús le respondió: El primer mandamiento de todos es: Oye, Israel, el Señor nuestro Dios, el Señor uno es.
30Amarás pues al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente, y de todas tus fuerzas; este es el principal mandamiento.
31Y el segundo es semejante á él: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo. No hay otro mandamiento mayor que éstos.
32Entonces el escriba le dijo: Bien, Maestro, verdad has dicho, que uno es Dios, y no hay otro fuera de él;
33Y que amarle de todo corazón, y de todo entendimiento, y de toda el alma, y de todas las fuerzas, y amar al prójimo como á sí mismo, más es que todos los holocaustos y sacrificios.
34Jesús entonces, viendo que había respondido sabiamente, le dice: No estás lejos del reino de Dios. Y ya ninguno osaba preguntarle.
35Y respondiendo Jesús decía, enseñando en el templo: ¿Cómo dicen los escribas que el Cristo es hijo de David?
36Porque el mismo David dijo por el Espíritu Santo: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, hasta que ponga tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
37Luego llamándole el mismo David Señor, ¿de dónde, pues, es su hijo? Y los que eran del común del pueblo le oían de buena gana.
38Y les decía en su doctrina: Guardaos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas,
39Y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;
40Que devoran las casas de las viudas, y por pretexto hacen largas oraciones. Estos recibirán mayor juicio.
41Y estando sentado Jesús delante del arca de la ofrenda, miraba cómo el pueblo echaba dinero en el arca: y muchos ricos echaban mucho.
42Y como vino una viuda pobre, echó dos blancas, que son un maravedí.
43Entonces llamando á sus discípulos, les dice: De cierto os digo que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos los que han echado en el arca:
44Porque todos han echado de lo que les sobra; mas ésta, de su pobreza echó todo lo que tenía, todo su alimento.

1And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
3And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
5And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
8And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cæsar, or not?
15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cæsar’s.
17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him.
18Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?
36For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
38And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

1He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country.
2When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
4Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
5Again he sent another, and they killed him, and many others, beating some, and killing some.
6Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
7But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
10Haven’t you even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.
11This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”
12They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him and went away.
13They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words.
14When they had come, they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’t defer to anyone; for you aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
15Shall we give, or shall we not give?” But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.”
16They brought it. He said to them, “Whose is this image and inscription?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.”
17Jesus answered them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” They marveled greatly at him.
18Some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to him. They asked him, saying,
19“Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’
20There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
21The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;
22and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.
23In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”
24Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?
25For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
26But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”
28One of the scribes came and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?”
29Jesus answered, “The greatest is: ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
31The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
32The scribe said to him, “Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he;
33and to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from God’s Kingdom.” No one dared ask him any question after that.
35Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?
36For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’
37Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.
38In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,
39and to get the best seats in the synagogues and the best places at feasts,
40those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
41Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.
42A poor widow came and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin.
43He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
44for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”
